The credit speech is a little off-putting, but at least somebody else jumped in. She's aiming to have some fun and waste a little time (maybe getting an alolan Vulpix as a bonus), not aiming to get addicted. She sits down at a slot and begins.

After a bit of time and nearly 100 spins, luck seemed to have shined upon Victoria, as she's got enough to get the Vulpix! She goes back up to the counter with her 2100.

The prize girl congratulates Victoria on her successful spins and runs down the list of prizes available. When Victoria immediately selects the Alolan Vulpix, she smiles and heads into the back to acquire one. She returns a few minutes later with a Luxury Ball containing the Pokemon in question and hands it over to Victoria. She'll need to register it herself, of course, but that's a simple task.

Well, perhaps not, but Victoria did spend at least 30 minutes gambling to earn that Alolan Vulpix (totally worth it). Miyako could have gone anywhere in thirty minutes. Not to mention the additional several hours that she has on Victoria considering she left the 'previous day'. At least, based on the date she recalls seeing on her 'Dex both before and after her foray into the Heart of the Forest. Time in there is difficult to ascertain, but on the outside it appears to have passed normally. So at best, presuming she hadn't rested right before departing, Miyako has at least eight hours and change of time on Victoria. She could be just about anywhere by now.

Well that's what happens when she rests off fighting some demon tree thing. She couldn't go 'right' on after Aima's sister right away. She was just hoping that maybe being out of time for ninety years, that maybe she'd make more of a 'scene' that would have been able to be tracked. Oh well. For now she's got nothing else outside of training her new pokemon from Ilex up and then once her main team that she might end up using is rested, it's time to tackle Whitney again!

Considering that a shrine exists in the "regular" Ilex Forest, perhaps there are Mikos attending to that as well that make occasional forays into Goldenrod? Or perhaps because it's Goldenrod, nobody bats an eye; thinking its some weird cosplayer or something. In any case, waltzing back into Goldenrod Gym is easy enough. Whitney's receptionist easily finds the record of her previous challenge and gives her the go ahead to walk straight on through to Whitney. Whitney herself, is, of course, quite pleased to see Victoria again. Apparently she considers anyone who has a polite conversation with her/listens to her rant about stuff to be a friend.
"Hi hi! Glad to see you back! Did ya get some good training in?" Whitney asks.

Whitney blinks, then bursts out laughing. "Oh, wow! That was a good one! You really had me going for a bit there!" She continues laughing for a few moments longer before she realizes you...are not laughing with her. You're somehow being completely serious. "Dang. Either you've got the best poker face in the world, or you're dead serious." She puts her hands on her hips, flashing you a grin. "Well, ain't that the darndest thing! This is the first I'm hearing of such a thing! We should totally chat about it more, but it'll have to be after I close for the day. Don't want to keep other League hopefuls waiting too long!" She holds up her first Poke ball. "Are ya ready? Then let's go!"

But before she can really continue, she'd being handed a badge, money, a fitting tm, and a wink.
Whitney used Attract! Victoria became infatuated with Whitney!
Victoria blushes a bit and is having trouble clearing her throat.

"Oh, I am. See, my Pokemon just finished a fight. With you, in case you don't remember." She winks again. "They need time to rest. Yeah, I got multiple 3-badge teams simply because in the opening weeks of the season I get a big influx of newbies trying for their third badge, but I still need time to retrieve them and wind down from each battle. So, I get a 1-2 hour break between each fight where nobody can challenge me. I don't close the Gym until like... 7 (PM)." Whitney explains.
"Other Gym Leaders will get more or less time depending on the average number of trainers they expect to face on a daily basis. So, Falkner would probably need to be ready as quickly as possible, while Clair almost never gets a ton of challengers."

She talked to Aima, sure, but that's a person who was A. Dealing with their own shit and B. Was deep in the supernatural bits already. So it'd be nice to just vent to an outsider.

Best to wait until after my shift so I can ask all the questions I want and not have it bugging me the rest of the day. At least by not knowing anything now, with the promise of info later, I can put it aside easier and focus on the rest of my battles." She pulls out a tablet of some kind and scrolls through it.
"Looks like I got... at least three more scheduled fights today." She looks back up at you. "Not a lot of people know about/use this, but you can actually schedule your Gym Challenges for a specific date and time. It's more fun to be spontaneous, sure, but some people like the security of an appointment. That way they know a given Gym Leader will be able to take them on, rather than walking in and hoping they're not busy. Y'know?"

The League is weird about making information like that easy to find, so even if you're one of those people who likes to skim the basics of the Gym Challenge system you'd probably miss it. Although, this is exactly why I need to be available at just about all times while my Gym is open. Never know when a walk-in might turn up." She sets the tablet back down. "In any case, yeah, you can totally just come on back here to the Gym around closing time and we'll go someplace to celebrate your badge! Then, you can tell me all about this weird, alternate Ilex you found. I'm, like, super curious!"
