Those rings were most curious, and definitely bad news. But Eschaton had spread them around, so Lowe stalked closer to the ringmaster. Thoron wasn't sure what to expect. Lowe was ordered to proceed with caution. Where caution meant charging up and bearing his fangs at a space-rending, apocalyptic Pokemon... Thoron binds Capricious Whirl to Lowe. (And Focused Orders to Casmere and Catling)
Lowe shifts to J6 and uses Charge and Intimidate (-1 attack CS) on Eschaton.

The free flying rings added a new wrinkle to the field. Best to avoid them if possible. "You aren't going to be able to stop us Eschaton. We have too much at stake." He had little hope that the words would sink in but there was always a chance it could provide some distraction. Blake uses Taunt On miss still applies -3 Accuracy for 1 round. AC 3 vs 4
Shift uses Splash for more evasion.

The giant creature seems to mostly ignore the assorted insults and challenges against it, and it focuses on the other similarly-sized Pokémon. With a roar and a lunge, it reaches out with a hand glowing with a sickly purple power. The rocket lets out an audible gasp and cry as it almost seems to... wilt a little bit, its greenish colour growing a bit more brown as tendrils of shadow course across its body, the colour flowing along them into the oni. Intimidate lowers Hoopa's attack 1 CS. Taunt misses. Hoopa takes -3 Accuracy for a round. Hoopa uses Guard Split on Celesteela. Celesteela's Defense and Special Defense lower by 5 (flat, not CS) until the end of the Scene, and Hoopa gains 5 DR.

As Eschaton shifts to battle an opposing Titan, Casmere takes the opportunity to slide in close on her heels. His hardened limbs striking true at the giants unprotected back. Casmere Shifts to J9 Leaf Blade- Critical strike on 17+ Ac 2 vs 20(17+3) 77 Physical Grass Damage

The oni shrieks at the blade cutting its back before it suddenly shifts a few meters over in the blink of an eye... and its arms begin to whirl, shredding the space around it. Caitling gets off the best, only having a few tears in its body, while Casmere suffers from bleeding some energy into the air. Blake is worst of all, as the claws from space knock him unconscious, though he doesn't appear to be bleeding too profusely, at least. Hoopa takes an injury from Leaf Blade. A critical Hit! Blake takes 66 damage, 2 injuries, and Faints from Hyperspace Fury. Casmere takes 57 damage and an injury from Hyperspace Fury. Catling takes 62 damage from Hyperspace Fury.

Silas is glad he decided to stay out of range at the beginning when he sees Eschaton's brutal opening. Instead, he moves a little bit closer and throws a punch at the creature. Blake is too far away to reach right now, but with a bit of maneuvering... Meanwhile, Catling launches off the ground to avoid the psychic rings, directing the rockets that propel her directly at the enemy. Silas moves to D9. Silas uses Shadow Punch on Hoopa! Crit Check: no DB 10: 58 Ghost Physical
Catling Disengages 1 square up. Celesteela uses Fire Blast on Hoopa! AC 4: 14 DB 11: 64 Fire Special

The shadowy energy followed by blistering heat seems to take somewhat of a toll on the giant creature. Combining that with the fact that all of its released energy from its rings just harmlessly bypasses everyone, and it seems to be in an even more foul mood than before. It's definitely been hurt. And while the rings missed before, they swing around to more advantageous positions. Silas hits with Shadow Punch. Hoopa is staggered from Fire Blast. Hoopa gains +2 Accuracy, Critical Hit Range and Effect Range.

Neither a medic or a fighter, Thoron focused on his own contributions. Like plodding over a bit to avoid a hazard or two. Not getting too close to the enemy... And, directing Lowe to and fro. This time, Lowe had to race between Eschaton and some ancient debris. His goal was to bite Eschaton and all their many freakish arms. Thoron uses Brutal Training and Focused Training on Lowe.
Lowe shifts to N10 and uses Thunder Fang on Eschaton. AC3 - kk_eurqK1d20+2 (Effect range +1) DB11 Charged - 6d10+51 Physical Electric damage.
If Eschaton isn't threatening I4 by Thoron's initiative, he'll shift there. 1d20+2·6d10+51

Lowe clamps down on the monstrosity, sending coruscating electricity down its body until it manages to shake the feline off, before it gestures and fires a harsh bolt of nothingness to strike down Lowe... who fairly easily takes the attack, even as the oni's body is wracked with electricity. Hoopa is Flinched and Paralyzed from Thunder Fang. Lowe takes 18 damage from Dark Pulse. Hoopa is Paralyzed.

Casmere was just holding on after the giant foes attack. He doesn't really have much time to dwell on it as it continues to barrel around and lay ruin to the rest of the Technician forces. His forelimbs strike at the exposed back once more. Uses X-scissor (Tinted Lenses decrease resistance to neutral) AC 2 vs 6 45 Bug Physical Damage
Shift to I10

The claws of the bug slash crosswise, snicker-snack. The oni begins to bleed more and more, and it begins to disperse into the air... but a core remains. As the bright energy of the monster funnels its way into the rings floating around the battlefield, causing them to glow ferociously, with tendrils of energy creeping out. The core is revealed to be the grinning form of the Pokémon that was Eschaton before it absorbed all that power. Mouth unnaturally wide, it lets out an absolutely inhuman laugh, as it re-assesses its surroundings and fires off a psychic blast at Lowe, before it lobs a powerful mass of shadows at Caitling, severely damaging the rocket. The battle is far from over.Lurantis hits with X-Scissor. It's super effective! Hoopa takes 2 injuries and is Staggered. Hoopa gains +2 Accuracy, Crit Chance and Effect Range. Hoopa is no longer Unbound. Hoopa is cured of Statuses.
The ring-lines will now connect to every other ring, instead of just the subsequent one in the sequence.
Luxray Takes 42 Damage and loses a Sp. Def CS from Psychic. Celesteela takes 65 damage, an injury, and loses a Sp. Def CS from Shadow Ball. A critical hit!

Silas sees the portals connect and decides that he wants no part in this. He steps a step in an impossible direction, vanishing from sight. Meanwhile, Catling flies over the portal that has moved to compensate for her height. She then gathers a few shards flaking off from the previous attack and launches them at the culprit. Silas Sets Up Phantom Force!
Catling moves to N14-Q17, 4m up Catling uses Stone Edge! AC 4: 4 DB 10: 54

The spaceship rises up towards the cavernous ceiling, before firing off a barrage of rocks at the imp. It defly avoids the strikes, before grinning and blinking up towards the rocket, unleashing a punch that leeches some more of the energy from Caitling. It's too much for the beast to handle, and it collapses into a bundle of energy that... is very confused. It pulses for a moment, before the band reappears in the middle of the cloud, sucks the energy in, and drops to the floor. Thankfully not breaking. The rings discharge their energy, coruscating beams flowing in all directions. Thankfully, the humans, at least, are safe, but Lowe and Casmere are hit by the streams. Lowe holds firm, though looking a little worse for wear. Casmere, on the other hand, is barely holding on... and somehow the stream of energy looks to have transported the mantis' claw it was holding into the hands of the imp, who giggles maniacally. The rings reposition, this time once again low to the ground. The imp floats in the air, but it's well within Lowe's reach if he jumps for it. Celesteela misses with Stone Edge. Celesteela takes an injury and Faints from Drain Punch. Luxray takes 30 damage and an injury from Psychic. Lurantis takes 32 damage from Psychic, and has its Razor Claw stolen from Magician.

The shift in attack patterns caught Lowe off-guard, to say nothing of Eschaton's direct attack. But Lowe was stubborn and highly mobile, so he bit at the little gremlin with a running jump and landed outside the ring of rings. Not that Thoron was going to take his own advice. Thoron uses Brutal Orders and Dazzling Dervish on Lowe. (Battle Conductor to give Brutal Orders to Casmere, and Catling's replacement?)
Lowe shifts to M14, jumping at Eschaton and using Crunch. AC2 - jWOxear31d20+1 DB10 - 3d8+41 Physical Dark damage
Thoron shifts to K6. 1d20+1·3d8+41

Eschaton wails, and it begins to dissolve into light... but it seems not so easily undone, as purple lightning arcs from each ring to the creature, seeming to anchor it to this realm. But their own luster seems to flicker, and they almost look to struggle to hold themselves together. Their own dimensional energy seems to be cannibalized to maintain Eschaton's hold on the world. Perhaps this, at last, makes them vulnerable. The constantly giggling imp grins wider than it seems like its mouth will allow, before blinking elsewhere and firing off a shadowy sphere at Lowe, severely hurting the 'mon. Eschaton takes 2 injuries and Faints from Bite. …but still holds on.
The Rings are now valid targets. Eschaton cannot be harmed in this state.
Luxray takes 46 damage and -1 Sp Def CS from Shadow Ball. A critical hit!

It wouldn't be long till the Casmere's ragged form gave up on him but he was still standing. With the rings starting to fade, he takes a chance slashing at the gleaming metal. Perhaps the rings wouldn't be able to hold up much longer either. Shift to D11 Uses X-Scissor AC 2 vs 13 47 Bug Physical Damage Tinted Lens-Reduces resistance to move 1 step up to neutral

The Lurantis' strikes hit fast and true, chipping away parts of the ring, and causing the shards to dissipate into energy. The bulk of the hoop is still there, but another hit or two like that, and it'll probably lose integrity. The imp, meanwhile, continues its maniac cackling, launching a psychic wave at Lowe and another shadowy orb at Casmere, knocking both the 'mon out and returning their energy forms back to Thoron and Blake. Lurantis hits with X-Scissor. Luxray takes 67 damage, an injury, and Faints from Psychic. Lurantis takes 45 damage, an injury, and Faints from Shadow Ball.

With the imp gone, Silas returns to the field and goes after one of the rings binding it to this world. He also releases his first Pokemon, expecting the mushroom to be able to withstand most of the enemy's attacks. Silas appears at D1. Silas uses Phantom Force on R6! AC 2: 18 DB 11: 60 Ghost Physical
Gus is released at I1. Gus uses Seed Bomb on R6! (R1 if 6 is down) AC 2: 13 DB 10: 54 Grass Physical.

Silas strikes true, and the ring begins to crack, though it still holds. Until Gus' seeds smash into it, which causes it to explode into splinters and shards that flicker out of reality as they spin away. Some of them even spin into silas… but seem to phase harmlessly through him. Probably. The chain of lightning tethering that ring to the imp ceases, and, though the 'mon doesn't seem to feel it... it does turn its attention to Gus, firing off a psionic blast. The remaining rings emit their beams, but nothing's in their way, before they reposition. Silas hits with Phantom Force. Ring 6 shatters from Seed Bomb. Ring 6 uses Synchronoise. It doesn't affect Silas...
Parasect takes 46 damage and -1 Sp. Def CS from Psychic.

With Casmere defeated, Blake was left without a Pokemon of his own on the field. He wasn't exactly on speaking terms with consciousness. Probably for the best since his body wasn't in the best of shape. Hazily it strains to release one of his partners, unwilling to leave the others entirely unsupported. They were capable but he needed to do something. His fumbling fingers find and release Radiant. Radiant Initiative 5 Released at M8
