The Girl's Dorm

Trista had been keenly observing Vess' follow-up to her question (hearing about the actually interesting Pokemon around here was a nice bonus), but wasn't quite so attentive of her surroundings.

Starting just a bit at Anna's warning, Trista finally took note of the playing Pokemon. None of them looked like a weird plant thing... But there were a few cute ones. Actually, maybe she knew some?



With everyone else releasing their Pokemon, Trista followed suit, tossing Porygon out just ahead of her. That little rascal could handle itself for five seconds, though, so then she turned around and nodded to Elizabeth, "You wanna maybe follow their lead? If you see one you like... Catch it!" ...not that it'd be easy, this far back.2d6·2d6·2d6·2d6·2d6

“Um, okay…” Elizabeth nervously squeaks.

“Alright Mantra, it’s our time to shine! Let’s go for the Smoochum, yeah?” Zelda asks her Mienfoo. After receiving a nod in reply, she takes a running long jump over to the Smoochum and kicks its legs out from under it. It wobbles a bit, but its able to regain it’s footing.

“Uh, I guess go after the one in front of you, Raina. If that’s what you want to do. No pressure.” Anna says.

Following her owner’s “command,” Raina runs up to the Rattata. She also happens to run right up to the Smoochum and Snorunt as well. Instead of attacking, she just angrily growls at the pokemon. It seems to make them even more agitated. So agitated, in fact, that the Rattata tackles Raina and pushes her back.

“Oh come on! Why’d ya have to go and do that?!” Anna sighs, then rolls up her sleeves. “Ah well, guess I’m getting in there too.” She runs up to the Rattata and drives her elbow into it, making it squeak out in pain. It seems to leave a bit of a mark as well.

Nuri leans around Adora and points at the Smoochum. “Aight Agni, let’s go for that one, yeah? Should be pretty easy to take down.” Agni barks in approval at her statement.

Nuri weaves her way through the people and pokemon in her way till she gets next to Trista. “I’ll be over here, but you go do your thing.” She yells, getting another bark in approval.

The wave of white light that shoots towards the Snorunt covers it in powdery snow. It easily shakes it off, though. Swinub scoots forward and blows some of the snow on the ground towards Zelda. She shivers and brushes it off as she loudly complains. “Aw! Now there’s snow in my uniform!”

Wanting to protect his trainer, Mantra runs forward and picks up the Smoochum. He throws it back down on the ground and with a final squeak, the Smoochum faints. Seeing an opening, Elizabeth speaks up to issue orders.

“Umm, uhh...Lumen! Go, um, go help out! Please…” She says in a more normal tone of voice. It’s much louder than usual for her, but for everyone else, it sounds perfectly normal. She moves forward a bit to get a better view of

“You too, Carina! Go help out one of the others!” Adora yells, getting a happy nod from Carina.

Snorunt releases a small stream of snow from its mouth towards Mantra, Porygon, and Nuri, completely covering them in the powdery fluff. “Mmf!” Nuri mumbles underneath all of the snow. It seems like she’s trying to say something under there, but its really hard to tell.

Next, the happy Happiny Carina gives a pat on Agni’s back, dancing slightly for the Growlithe. Growlithe roars before turning back to the Snorunt and spitting a bright red flame at it. The Snorunt lets out a small yelp as the icy coat on its body melts away, leaving it crumpled up in a heap in the snow.

The Patrat is next to move and it scurries towards Zelda, throwing itself at her. She stumbles back a bit and falls, hitting a rock on the way down. She lets out a cry and rubs her back with a grimace.

Wanting to help distract the wild pokemon, Lumen floats over and dances a bit, dimming and brightening the flame on its head as it does so. The Patrat looks over from Zelda and seems to be entranced by Lumen, at least momentarily.

Zelda hops over to the side and uses all of her momentum to punch the Patrat. Her fist immediately leaves a bump, and as it falls back its head hits a rock and knocks it out. Raina moves next and slashes through one of the two remaining pokemon, leaving it with two bloody wounds as it lays on the ground.

“Great job Raina, just one more left!” Anna calls out happily.

Out of nowhere, Elizabeth says, “Um, I think I want the Swinub...If no one else wants it, that is…”

Vess nods as she hears Elizabeth and speaks up louder, near yelling in order to be heard over the veritable mob of trainers and pokemon that were gathered. "Everyone hear that? Elizabeth wants to catch the Swinub, so don't knock it out."

Solace hears and follows her trainer's orders, simply sitting still and closing her eyes, finding a moment to get in her daily dose of tranquility.

Vess sits back and watches, letting the others do their thing. She wouldn't be able to do much of anything useful besides toss a pokeball anyways, but this wasn't her pokemon to catch.

There she was, minding her own business and waiting for her Pokemon to thaw out, when some little runt attacks her! Trista wasn't too thrilled by the development... But a certain someone had already claimed it.

So with a huff, Trista shook some of the snow off (not enough, of course...) and moved away from the frightened Swinub.

Pory could deal with defrosting on his own.
