The Girl's Dorm

Vess eventually finds a [generic fruit] and takes a large bite of it, looking to Chaika and giving a rare smirk of amusement at the girl's reaction, raising her eyebrows playfully. Vess quickly glances at her pokedex and marks the two messages as read before looking back to the others. "Well, the new girl has about... two minutes to get here before I finish my [generic fruit] and take a shower."

That being said, Vess glances at her pokeballs a moment to see if she'd have to round up her pokemon, or if they had returned on their own during the night.

Citadel and Solace are both sitting near the couch and seem to still be sleeping, but Refuge has woken up and started making his way towards all of the noise. He’s currently pacing around near the kitchen.

As if on cue, the door opens and a small girl walks in. She seems to be about the same size as Chaika, but her baggy dark green track suit hides her true build. A small logo is just visible on the right chest of the jacket. The color of her clothing is a few shades darker than her green hair which she’s pulled up into a ponytail and tied with a matching green bow. She has a smile on her face, and wheels a dark green suitcase in behind her. A matching colored dark green gym bag is slung over her shoulder.

After closing the door, the girl waves to say hello. “Hi everyone! I hope I didn’t intrude or anything! I’m Zelda, Zelda Kemp.”

The name ‘Kemp’ sounds quite familiar, but Vess can’t seem to put her finger on where she’s heard it before. The girl herself also looks familiar.



Awakened by the noise, Yuki stomps out of her room in her silk pajama set, clearly annoyed. “Can you guys all shut up!? I’m trying to get some sleep!” Her eyes wander over to Zelda and she focuses her steely glare on her. “Who the fuck is she?”

“Me?” Zelda asks innocently, pointing to herself.

“Yes, you. Are you thick or something?”

“Um, well, administration said they’d sent a notice out to you guys…” Zelda shifts a bit, but maintains eye contact.

“They clearly didn’t, because I don’t have any sort of notice about anything.”

“Uh, Yuki? Did you check your pokedex?” Adora interjects, trying to calm her down.

“No…” After a short pause, Yuki realizes what Adora is trying to say. A look of embarrassment crosses her face and she sheepishly speaks up once more before returning back to her room. “Oh, alright. I’m going to just go back to bed then…”

“Sheesh!” Zelda laughs, walking towards the kitchen to join the other girls. “Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed! Is she always like that, or what?”

Zelda shrugs a bit in reply to Vess’ comment. “Dunno, she looked perfectly human to me.”

“Nah, she’s definitely some kind of monster.” Anna adds, earning her a glare from Adora.

“Don’t be mean Anna.”

“It’s not mean if it’s true!” Anna sing-songs. “Have a good shower, Vess! Don’t take too long or maybe we’ll start gossiping about you!” She laughs.

Zelda seems a bit confused by Trista’s jumbled sentences but doesn’t comment on it. She instead decides to talk about her admission. “Yeah, it’s really stupid. They were gonna admit me, but because Zephyr is on the E4 they put me on the waiting list. They didn’t want it to be like a big thing or whatever and have everyone thinking that they’re just letting the families of E4 members in.” She shrugs. “It’s whatever, though. At least I’m here now!”

“Wait, your brother is in the E4? You’re related to Zephyr Kemp?!” Adora asks excitedly.

“I sure am!” Zelda replies proudly.

“Wow, that’s so cool!”

“He’s the muscly one, right?”

“That’s putting it a bit lightly, but yeah, he’s the muscly one.” Zelda laughs.

“I’ve met him once or twice. He’s real fun.” Chaika adds.

“Oh hey, you’re that singer girl Cole is friends with, right?”

“I don’t know how many other singer girls Cole is friends with, but I think I’m one of them.”

“Nice to meet you! And it’s nice to meet the rest of you too!” She shifts her weight to her other foot and continues. “Not that I don’t like talking to you guys or anything, but can I put my stuff down wherever I’ll be staying? It’s kinda heavy.”

Where she was... Staying... Ooh.

Slack slouching shucked away, Trista snapped to attention after realizing just where the new arrival was destined. Grumpily thinking that a Kemp really shouldn't mind a bag or two, she bid a silent farewell to a room all her own. Then, "...Sure, why not. Guess I should... Sorry to say, but rooms were already decided. There's just the one left. This way..."

So saying, Trista navigated back out of the kitchen, and off to her room. Their room...

Travelling was pretty bad, or at least so thought a recent traveler. Though so was waking up, and dealing with a bunch of gossipy girls, and... Hmm...

Slowly nodding, Trista eventually answered, "S-sure... I guess I could, yeah." Another nod for good measure, and Trista noted, "Hmm... If you do this sort of thing every morning, Vess and Adora kinda seem like the type, too."

"Err- I, I mean I'm glad to! They're just more, uh... Athletic... _{I guess?}" After that hurried correction, she began rooting around for something to wear for the jog.

Zelda stands and lets out a bit of a chuckle while she does some warm-up stretches. “I’ll be sure to ask them if they’re ever up when I am.” When it looks like Trista has found an outfit, she moves to the door, saying, “I’ll just wait in the common room till you’re changed.”

After closing the door, Zelda walks back to the common room and leans against the back of the couch. When there’s a lull in the conversation, she interjects. “Hey, Trista _{‘least I think her name was Trista} and I are gonna go for a run around the school if any of you wanna come.”

“Nah, that is like...the opposite of my jam.” Anna says, laughing. “If you ever see me running, its probably because there’s something chasing me.”

“Maybe another time…” Chaika replies.

Adora seems to be the only one interested out of the three. “Sure! I’m always down for a run! Just give me a moment to put on some running clothes!” As she finishes her statement, she hurries off to her room to change.

Seeing as that had gone so much better than expected, maybe going on this run wasn't such a bad idea? Even ignoring the whole exercise part...

In any event, it'd be no good to hold Zelda up, even if there was time to spare. No sooner had the door clicked shut than Trista swapped out of bed-clothes and into running ones. Maybe a little quicker than she usually might.

More or less past her sudden wake up by the time she finished, she proceeded out to the common room asking, "Thanks for waiting... _We, are we all ready, then?" Trista stopped by the door to confirm that, yes, the runners were ready for their run.

Vess sets out on a normal clip, not pushing herself and attempting to be conservative in her running efforts. No need to push herself today. She glances back at Trista every once in a while, just to make sure the girl isn't lagging too far behind.
