Emil rolls his eyes and leans against the tree. "Yeah, but I don't think that way would work on Miz Sapphire. I was already jumpy 'cause of the crowd and then you dragged me around, stared in my face and threatened me."
She may have noticed he's a lot less frightened by the Misdreavus than he was by her.

Emil spots this and decides to try and help out. "I mean, having a Misdreavus around might help. Somebody to show you the ropes. I'll bet there isn't a lot it doesn't know about being scary." He pitches his voice a little higher, trying to catch the ghost's drifting attention.

Misdreavus, can you please, please, please teach me how to scare people like you? I can't figure out how to do it on my own, so I need someone a great at it as you to teach me!"

Misdreavus laughs haughtily, but eventually agrees after much begging and cajoling from Ruby. Way to debase yourself to accomplish your goals!
