"NEVER! A Hero of Justice is always passionate as long as they draw breath!" Ruby shouts, her brain only registering Stephanie's last sentence and conveniently forgetting about everything else. "My name's Ruby, by the way. Ruby Edelsten. What's yours?" She asked, suddenly dialing back on the energy despite what she just said.

She writes down the name of this new woman at the top of her notes, with the warning 'Clearly doesn't pay attention, will ignore most suggestions, although maybe ignorance will allow for blind testing.'
Stephanie looks over to Emil.
"Yes, clearly. Although I doubt there's enough food in the world for that kind of energy."
She looks back to Ruby.
"Stephanie Myler. And as I said before, there's no justice to fix around here."

While the others are bouncing off each other, Freya steps to Emil's side. "Greetings! I'm Sister Freya. In talking with Ms. Myler, I'm sure she brought up Xerneas?" She pulls out a small pamphlet filled with small psalms, and info about Xerneas. "I spread the gospel of our lord, and savior, Xerneas. It was he that saved our world almost 20 years ago. I'll be holding sermons, so please attend whenever possible if you wish to learn more." She smiles sweetly.

"Well, it's a pleasure to meat you, Stephanie and Emil! I hope we can get along in the future!" Ruby says with a charming smile. "Anyways, where do you think we'll be picking up these free Pokemon we're getting? Are they randomly distributed or do we get to pick...?" Ruby muses, her Justice-high having worn off and her brain returning to normal.

"I'm sure we get to pick ourselves. Our own pokemon consisting of fire, water, or grass type." Freya happily claps her hands together. "Sounds joyful! The guild's open area in the back seems like the perfect place. Let us go meet our new partners."

"Oh, yeah, I know all about that." Emil nods, even though he definitely has not attended a sermon and has no idea who this sister is. Though given that Ruby identified Stephanie with her, he's guessing she's probably the source of the glitter. "He helped out Hero Clay and the others, right? He says he's a pretty nice guy but he talks a lot about the gods having limitations he didn't really understand - uh, Hero Clay does, not Xerneas."
He takes a pamphlet, which may be a mistake, but he doesn't want to offend her by rejecting it completely. "Anyway, yeah, I'm Emil. Emil Vesna. And this is Tulip. I came down because the Guild is kinda the place to go if you wanna get better as a trainer and see new places, right?"
He cocks his head thoughtfully. "Fire, Water, or Grass, huh? Wonder where I should start looking..."

So it's a rather ideal job if you're...looking for something, but don't really have any clues as to where in the world it is..." Ruby says, uncharacteristically hesitant to elaborate.

Elsewhere, someone waits near where the starter Pokemon are being given away to new Guild members. Sapphire knows better than to run around the festival looking for her sister - the city is packed, and Ruby's always been a lot faster than she is anyway. Sooner or later, she'll make her way here. Right?

Suddenly, Ruby straightens her back and starts looking around. "Imouto senses tingling...Sapphy is waiting for me! Hold on, Sapphy, Onee-chan's on her way!" Ruby shouts, taking off at full speed in a straight line towards Sapphy, jumping over any buildings in her way.

Ruby's antics startle several people, many of whom shout at her to watch where she's going. She's so focused on reaching 'Sapphy', that she nearly runs right over a line of people waiting for their chance to get in and choose a new Pokemon partner. Of course, luck isn't with everyone, and Ruby suddenly slams straight into what feels like a brick wall, landing on her butt. Dazed, she glances up to see a large person wearing a Guild uniform staring down at her in mild annoyance. Apparently, this person is the 'security' for the event. Even if their primary job is less 'protection' and more 'maintain the peace'.

"Oh! You must be a Guild Employee! Sorry about bumping into to you." Ruby says, unfazed by the man's size. "Have you seen my sister around? About yay tall, blue hair, blue eyes, cutest thing on two legs?" Ruby asks, before spotting her sister. "Oh! There she is! Thank you for your time, good sir. Keep up the good work!" She says with a bow, before skipping over to Sapphire.
"There you are, Sapphy~" She says, hugging her sister close and rubbing her cheek against Sapphire's.

There are many things Sapphire is tempted to say in response: so instead you left me to travel the road on my own? and I don't need to be coddled like that! and who's making sure the city is safe from you, huh? and don't call me that! Long experience has taught her that all of them are futile. "Okay, fine. Glad Saffron City meets your standards. Have you collected the Guild paperwork yet?"

When Ruby takes off, Emil looks around at Stephanie and Freya. "Think we should go after her?" If only to prevent the city from having a Ruby-shaped hole drilled through it. Then again, since apparently she's being pointed towards a little sister he guesses she's probably going to stop at one point. Maybe.
In any case, even if they don't go after her directly, they're still eventually going to fetch up near her if they join the line of people waiting for a Pokémon, though Emil doesn't necessarily know that yet.

Stephanie raises her hands in a 'not my problem' way.
"Best let her run her energy off. I'm sure she'll find us later anyway. I have a feeling she's someone who you can't avoid even if you try. I will use my time to go find a pokemon."
With that, she heads off to the water area first to try that.

Freya nods, and also heads off to find a pokemon of her own. Although she does end up traveling with Stephanie as Freya is heading towards the water area. She hums softly as she takes in the Guild's enclosure. "Ahhh. Such a wonderful place the guild maintains. I see we are both possibly searching for a water type? Are you searching with a partner in mind, or perhaps leave it to chance?"
