Stella hop skips and jumps towards Pewter. She throws a quick glance at route 3 - but that looked like a future Stella problem. Present Stella wanted to go check out the museum! She pointed at it eagerly and tried to drag her friends there. It was cool of course if they wanted to do something else first, but it'd be more fun if they came with her!

"The museum, you say? Very well. Let us see what marvels of science await!"

Nori throws a glance toward Route 3 as well. He likes storms - there's the same sense of power and awe about them as he gets with Dragon-type Pokémon or giant monsters. Of course, Nori thinks it's hard to get the same view of them here as you can on the coast - you can't see a whole storm with all the hills and mountains in the way, like you can when it's out over the ocean.
But the storm is way over there, and you get less wet in museums. Besides, Stella is remarkably good at dragging for someone that small. "Museum sounds good to me! Gwen, Yue, you guys coming?"

Gwen frees Yue from her bindings, and transfers back to her electric chair. "Museum, huh? Uhh...Sure I guess. Doesn't seem too interesting to me." Gwen is more intrested in the gym, but I guess if the others wanted to check out the museum..Getting out of the heat seemed good. She also saw what was going down at Route 3. "Looks rough over there. Hope we don't get stuck here in the rain."

Considering how late it was when the group finished up with the last gym and then traveled through route 2 and the forest, it's actually pretty late now. The gym is probably closed now, leaving really just the other main option. Stella drags the group inside, and there's not a ton to see for everyone. There's a closed off room for repairs labeled 'Mt Moon', so that must be the main Mt Moon info room. But there's some other stuff that does catch some of the eyes of the group. Nori and Melissa find the room with poke-fossils!

Yue follows Nori and Melissa into the room with the fossils. "Huh...Why do they call them fake-Ls if they aren't even remotely L-shaped?"

Melissa gives Yue a bewildered look, which turns to disgust as she grasps the question. "Cease your misinformed blathering, fool! You stand before the bones of the ancients, glimpsed by narrowest chance through the yawning abyss of time. The least you could do is show some appreciation."

Nori has, unsurprisingly, made a beeline straight for the Tyrantrum display, staring up into the powerful jaws. He finds a lot of fossil Pokémon pretty impressive, but Tyrantrum is one of the closest Pokémon around to being a kaiju without needing any help. "Now this is a king. Look at those teeth. This guy could eat cars." Nori checks the plaque. "This girl, sorry. Man, this is a nice fossil, even - you can see the place where her ruff went if you look close." He points out the bumpy quill knobs along the shoulders of the skeleton.
He looks around, realizing that Melissa is berating Yue for something. "I don't even know what she's talking about, honestly. Where are you seeing 'fake-L'?"
Nori also kind of suspects the specific bones of the ancients they're actually standing before may be casts, but still. They remain pretty impressive bones.

"Was the word not fake-L...Oh right, it was false-L. My mistake." Yue says, sheepishly.

"With sufficiently tortuous mispronunciation, the word 'fossil' might be made to sound like 'faux L'," Melissa explains, as usual unable to resist the lure of exposition. "A truly absurd misunderstanding, but I've come to expect that from her. But enough about this."
She goes to stand beside Nori, looking at the Tyrantrum bones. "Fascinating, is it not, that we now possess the technology to reanimate such creatures? I sometimes wonder that nobody has attempted to cultivate a sufficient population to release back into the wild."

"Oh, wow, that's..." Nori bites his lip. Gwen is still around here somewhere, and so is Nue, and he's pretty sure he doesn't want to say what he thinks of that mistake in earshot of either of them. (Of course, Melissa is, but her belittling people's intellect is nothing new.)
He scratches his head as he considers Melissa's speculation. "The world's changed a lot since these guys were around. It's cooler, all the continents and currents are different, weather patterns probably are too."
He taps the Tyrantrum's plaque. "Big girl here was subtropical. You'd want a place like, oh, Hoenn. And big enough prey to feed them, too - big girl's favorite foods would've been stuff like Bastiodon and Aurorus." Nori waves a hand at the big herbivores in the next display over. "Anyway it'd be an awfully big project getting enough of them for a breeding population, and a bigger one making sure they didn't just collapse the food chain of wherever you put 'em. New apex predator out of nowhere's going to cause some serious growing pains."

"Bah. You sound like those buffoons back at the Institute, always nattering on about catastrophic repercussions this and public backlash that and so on. You know how many kaiju were created by people who worry about the consequences? None, that's how many. Can't make a giant monster omelette without laying waste to a few cities."

Stella follows behind Science Lady and Nori, soaking up their nuggets of wisdom like a sponge. This was really fun! She held her arms close to her chest so they looked short and imitated the Tyrantrum's pose. "Rawr!" And then the orange girl knocked over a few pretend buildings before returning to her normal self and followed after Melissa and Nori once more.

"Man...Be super cool to ride one of those..." Gwen isn't as enthusiastic about the knowledge of the fossils, but did enjoy thinking of trampling enemies atop her massive, reborn pokemon. She looks at Stella doing her impressions, and nods along as she totally sees the image come to life. "Yeah...Yeah that would be super awesome."

Yue pouts. "Hmph! I bet you say that to all the rideable Pokemon..." Yue says jealously. "What does this guy have that I don't?" She says, leaning against a statue of a Rampardos.

"I mean, if the food chain collapses, your revives are gonna starve, too. We're not talking make one giant monster to wreck a city, we're talking bringing the species back to life. It doesn't count if they go extinct again because you messed up their supply lines. A pack of ancient terrors marches on its stomach," Nori mangles.
He grins a little as he watches Stella do the aforementioned city-wrecking, and glances over at Gwen. "I'll bet it would. So which would you rather have? An Aurorus who towers over everything and shows everyone for miles how awesome you are? Or a Tyrantrum or Bastiodon that just bulls through everything in their path? I mean, I'm gonna go for the Tyrantrum every time, but what about you?" He pauses thoughtfully. "There is Titanuruga but you'd have to find a big Aggron to fight to do Terror of Mechagodora with it."
He covers his mouth for a moment, hiding a smirk at Yue's jealousy. "Tyrantrum? How about teeth that can crush cars and a crown built right into its skull? Or Aurorus has those big rainbow frills that make it look awesome. Neither of 'em can fly though."

Gwen chuckled at Yue's pouting. "Chill, girl. One, I would use them in battle, and I don't know if I could have you on my team. Especially when we are also competing against each other. And, two, none of them are as cute as you."

Melissa snaps her fingers. "Ah, that reminds me! We never did get around to testing if Poké Balls work on you."

Stella sits down to think on Yue's question. Hmm. Tail? No... Hmm again. Aha! She stood up and pointed at the head of the Rampardos statue. It was a pokémon that ran over anything with its thick skull! Wait ... Hmm. Oh! It had spikes! Yeah much better. Stella stood on her toes and adjusted her pointing towards the spiky crown of the Rampardos. Spikes.
But spikes wasn't all good. Stella gave Yue an encouraging pat on her head (still standing on her toes). See? If she had had spikes, she wouldn't have gotten a pat. Don't feel bad!

"..." Yue's brain takes a moment to formulate all the response, before her mouth starts dispensing them in order.
"Why the heck would anyone what rainbow frills? That sounds super tacky." She says to Nori.
"Cute? Bitch, I'm adorable!" Yue says jokingly to Gwen.
"Come anywhere near me with an empty Pokeball in hand an I will bitch slap you with my wing." She says to Melissa, transforming to demonstrate to motion, but accidentally knocking over a few statues. "Oops."
"I'm not sure what you're trying to say, Stells, but thank you for the head pats." She says to Stella as she turns back to normal.
