"Yes, but its rare that Yue knocks herself out." Nue responds in her typical deadpan. "I am Nue, yes. Yue's older sibling by five minutes. I am also her self-appointed guardian. I do, in fact, know who each one of you are. I have been following you all (by nature of Yue's presence) since the Beedrill incident. I choose to reveal myself fully now because 'why not'? It is not as though I have not already made my presence known prior to this." She continues, inadvertently (or perhaps purposefully) staring Nori down without blinking. There is no anger in her eyes, nor, in fact, any emotion at all. Clearly she is a master of controlling one's emotions. "As I believe the previous topic of discussion was concerning the Gym, and the group's victories therein, I feel obligated to share that the Gym was not nearly as difficult as I had anticipated, given its random nature. My Ferroseed swept the field by itself."

Melissa scoffs at Gwen. "Don't be ridiculous. I'm merely concerned that you'll lose your edge if you keep allowing yourself to be distracted in this undignified manner. Don't forget, you are supposed to be my rival. I expect you to uphold certain standards."
Further discussion is derailed by Nue's sudden appearance, which Melissa takes more or less in stride. If you don't expect ninjas to appear out of thin air, what are you even doing with your life, really?

Gwen is a bit overloaded from all the things happening around her, and her focus being pulled to 3 different people. "Lose my edge? I'm the best damn trainer-..Huh?" Gwen doesn't really have time to process the new girl sitting on her chair. "What the-!?" Gwen's attention then falls to the falling Yue landing into her lap, and then getting ko'd. Gwen's face turns bright red, as she holds her skirt down. She stammers as she tries to take it all in.

Nue's habit of staring is kind of unsettling - if nothing else, it makes Nori's own eyes water, and he blinks rapidly for a moment. As embarrassing as Gwen's situation is, she provides somewhere to look that isn't at Nue's flat expression. "You okay, Gwen? I mean, like, you're not hurt?" Obviously she's going to be a little startled.
He sighs and shakes his head. "Uh. Right. Yeah, the gym went a lot easier for me this time around - obviously I've been training, but some of it's probably the randomness, yeah. Hard to make something equally difficult for everyone I guess."
Then something occurs to him. "I was thinking about this earlier, but... you make six, right? The obelisk said it had six targets - three of them were Yue, Gwen, and Doc, so I'm guessing Stella and I are on the list, too, and if you've been around you're probably number six." He huffs quietly. "I guess we can't really do anything about it, but if time travelers or whatever are trying to assassinate us... well, I guess having a ninja around could come in handy."
Nori thinks time travelers are the most likely explanation. He may have an ego but he's just starting out, so if he's included in the target list of some advanced technological weapon it probably means he's going to do something later that the weapon was sent to prevent. "I wonder what we're gonna do that they're so afraid of?"

"Well, in my case it could be any number of reasons. Frankly I'm surprised I don't get assassins or would-be heroes traveling back in time to kill me more often," Melissa says with a complete lack of modesty. "For you I expect they probably want to stop your giant monsters from laying waste to cities. It's not hard to imagine Yue causing some sort of calamity either, most likely a pratfall on a grand scale - like this, but with more typhoons." She gestures to Yue's prone body. "I admit I'm hard-pressed to devise explanations for the rest of you, however, unless it's simple guilt by association. But the part that's really fascinating is that a single agent was targeting all of us. Most of the scenarios I can concoct include only one or two of us."

Suddenly Stella comes bounding and leaping towards the group. Her hands are raised towards the sky, holding up her badge for all to see. She'll show it to Nori! She'll show it to Gwen! And Science Lady of course! And whomever that was that kinda looked like Yue. Look! Oh and to Yue of course ... Hey she wasn't watching? Stella hunched down and carefully prodded Yue with her badge. Hmm. Couldn't she leave these people to care for her even an afternoon? This almost looked worse then when she had tried to grow Oran Berries in a potted plant. Ah well. She pulled out her First Aid Kit and put away her badge then gently started bandaging the fallen.

"Excellent work, orange girl!" Melissa claps her hands. "I believe that concludes our business in Viridian City. Let's set off for Pewter! Gwen, would you mind carrying your girlfriend? I don't want to have to wait for her to wake up."

*Nod!* Stella shines up again at the applause. And truly she was eager to continue on! But ... Hmm. Maybe they could load Yue ontop of Gwen? She looked up at her chairbound friend and tried to gauge how she would manage being covered in Yue.

"Congrats, Stella!" Nori pulls out his half-badge again. "I got mine, too! So did Nue, apparently, though I dunno how she managed to ninja a gym battle. Oh, right, that's Nue there - you remember when we were fighting the Beedrill and the obelisk and she came out of nowhere then?"
The problem of moving an unconscious Yue is a tricky one. He taps his chin thoughtfully. "If Gwen or one of her Pokémon doesn't want to do it, Anguihorn can carry her, easy. Of course getting her to stay on... I've got some rope, I guess. Or we could wait for her to wake up but I dunno if she's concussed herself or what."

Gwen is able to focus up when Stella comes in. The gives her a thumbs up, and sighs as Yue is still out cold. "Awesome stuff. We gotta get through that forest for real this time." She lets out Buttercup, her big ol Caterpie. With some tough string, she able to strap Yue down to Gwen's chair, and Gwen hops onto her bug. "Alright people, watch out for more Beedrill, and exploding obelisks. Onwards to Pewter!"

During the show&tell of Stella's badge, Nue has mysteriously vanished again. Melissa is used to it, but it may or may not startle/confuse everyone else present. Really though, they should be used to it by now.

Yue suddenly wakes up. "Exploding obelisks?! Where?" She says, jolting upright. "Huh? What happened? Why am i tied to Gwen's chair?"

Stella wobbles a little when her patient wakes up. But she doesn't relent - standing on her toes she finished the bandaging. There! She gives Yue an encouraging pat on the back. All better. Whatever that was.

Stella quickly goes through her pockets to find her badge again. Then she holds it up high for Yue to admire. She beamed. "See!"

Yue smiled and brought her own half badge. "Yay! Now we're badge buddies!"

"You're tied to Gwen's chair 'cause you knocked yourself out and we didn't want to leave you here." Nori sighs and folds his arms. "We were just talking about why the obelisk seemed to be after us. I figure it's from the future, 'cause I don't think most of us have done anything to get assassinated for yet, except maybe Doc."

*Nod nod!* Stella holds her badge up next to Yues and grin.
But next city was it? And now it even looked like Yue could walk! Stella put away her badge somewhere safe, just next to her precious TM, and pointed in the general direction of Pewter city.

"Maybe we stopped some guy's plan to take over the world down the line...?" Yue says, musing.

The thoughts are put on pause as the group continues on back into Viridian Forest. This time... it's relatively quiet to make a path through. I suppose dealing with an aggressive Beedrill swarm one day and then meeting up with the guardian the other really calms the whole place down. At least for the six here.
After spending most of the day trekking through Viridian Forest again, the group makes it through to the other side of route 2. And from here, it's a hop, skip, and jump to Pewter! Hooray! The city stands like the stone it always is, mostly unchanged over time. The Museum, now a bit eclipsed from being dated and usurped by the league one just a city over, still stands there. The center seems to be the only thing gotten an overhaul to match the others since the real influx of trainers everywhere again. And of course, the big rocky gym sits there.
And something seems 'off' over route 3. It seems way darker than normal. Maybe a storm rolling in?
