Lia - Solo RP & Special Missions

Lia refuses to let him feel like he's actually doing damage. Besides, she's had the hell beaten out of her time and time again. She does it to herself all the time just fighting for little trinkets! If she goes through worse for a badge how is THIS supposed to really stop her? Of course he had the advantage of her being in a body she's not used to and she tired herself out learning how to flamethrower means he wins... this time.

And as she falls into unconsciousness, she is fine with it. She got them to react. They could have easily bored her into acting and keep her trapped. But this shows they have buttons she can push. It's something. But now... blackness...

Shortly after her little stunt, vents she was unaware of begin sucking out the smoke. Moments later, she 'senses' a presence in the room. Someone picks her up and tosses her over their shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

'I know you aren't really unconscious.' A voice says in her mind. 'Your plan, while clever, unfortunately won't work. They're too careful for that.' The voice continues. 'Not by itself, at least. Lucky for you, I also want out of here, and I know a way to accomplish it. Just lay low for a bit longer. You'll know when it's time to move.' There is a semi-familiar lurching sensation as Lia is teleported by the now-obvious psychic (though without opening her eyes, it's impossible to tell if they're a human psychic like Kaeda or a hybrid like herself) to the infirmary.

Lia doesn't have to wait long, it seems. Barely an hour after being taken to the infirmary under the guise of smoke inhalation, the power suddenly goes out. No alarms blare, but the tension in the room is palpable. Lia can practically hear the guards in the room tense up, and she gets the strangest feeling of deja vu. She can't put her finger on it right now, but she gets the feeling that this situation is oddly familiar; though she is unable to recall being in a scenario such as this.

Just as Lia is psyching herself up to torch these guards and make a break for it, the reinforced door of the infirmary is blasted right off its hinges and splatters one poor soul against the far wall. With only the dim, red, emergency lights on in the room (what kind of place doesn't have a backup generator or two? or maybe those were hit as well? questions for later), she can vaguely make out some kind of feline-like shape standing in the middle of the room. It roars in challenge as the guards burst into motion, though their firearms seem to... deflect off of it? The heck? While Lia is trying to piece together what's going on, a new figure enters the room from above and deftly slits the throat of the guard nearest Lia's bed. The figure looks at her and motions towards the door with a gruff 'get moving!'

No sooner has Lia attempted to 'reach out' to her psychic 'friend/ally/whatever', then there is suddenly a very human-looking being standing next to her. Without a word, the person she presumes to be the same as the one who brought her to the infirmary grabs her arm and teleports them both to someplace else. A storage room, she later discovers. There are already a couple of people in here shoveling poke balls and other supplies into whatever random containers they could scavenge.

While still trying to regain her bearings, the psychic walks over to a normal-looking section of wall and punches it really hard. When they pull their fist back, a safe is revealed. She hears that same voice from before telling her that exceptionally powerful Pokemon are usually stored within this safe so that they can't be used against the employees should someone somehow get in here. He then proceeds to grasp the handle of the wall safe's door and rip it right off with psychically-enhanced muscles. Then he grasps a filled trainer's belt seemingly at random and tosses it at her. Somehow, Lia knows these are the six she had with her at the time. While Lia is staring at the belt in shock, the gallade-hybrid (as she can see when a light happens to pass over him) begins to shove the rest of the belts into a bag he snagged from someone else, responding to her unasked question with 'I'm rescuing them too, of course'.

The Gallade-hybrid nods as the others begin quickly filing out. With the minimal lighting, Lia can't tell what all of them are, but most of the silhouettes at least appear largely human. Same with her 'teleporting leader'. Maybe when they aren't focused on burning a path out of here, she can get some proper answers. For now though, it's time to burn some shit. The group takes off, splitting up down other hallways to minimize the risk of them all getting nabbed/delayed at once. Off in the 'distance', Lia can hear explosions taking place and death screams/gurgles as the freed hybrids/prisoners/what-have-you ruthlessly execute their jailers/torturers.

After some time spent running, the remainder of their little group is bottle-necked in a narrow hallway by two strange figures. One of them wears a semi-familiar uniform while the other seems to be wearing a simple business suit and looks either bored or apathetic. Hard to tell which.

"Why must you all be so rowdy?" Business suit asks. "We are only trying to improve you. Is this really any way to be treating those who only want to help you?"

Just as they're on their way out, Lia and Gallade-guy are accosted by 'Tadpole Guy', that Poliwrath that beat her up the other day. Turns out he's actually a bit of a wimp or something, as their combined assault quickly puts him down. Gallade-guy doesn't even bat an eye at leaving him behind. Maybe that other guy was a regularly used enforcer or something. Bah. Who cares? As the two finally reach the outside world again at long last, they come upon a massive battlefield.

A very big Snorlax is literally throwing its weight around at more of those Sand Ninjas. There are also a few dragons and wait, is that a Ninjask? Some chick in a cheerleader uniform of all things is directing and cheering on all of these Pokemon, guiding them to demolish the ranks of the 'Sand Ninjas'. Lia doesn't recognize the cheerleader, but she does recognize the woman with the hook swords darting about the battlefield with a regular Luxray at her side. That's the Vermillion City Gym Leader. Lia may not remember her name (it was a rather foreign-sounding name, after all), she would recognize those weapons if nothing else. Those are definitely not weapons one sees everyday.

In any case, the two of them are tearing through the mooks like wet paper. Hell, even the local cops seem to have been 'motivated' to set up barricades further back (though whether this is to prevent easy escape or for everyone else's safety is unknown). Gallade-guy guides Lia away from the fighting, and the barricades where tons of lookie-loos have gathered to watch in awe. No sooner have you gotten 'round the back of the building than you nearly run straight into someone else. A tall, lavender-haired woman that you swear wasn't there just a second ago now bars your path. You sense no hostility from her though. Actually, you don't feel anything but sleepy at the moment, oh...crap...?

Again, Lia wakes up after being out for a while, something she’d be real tired of if she wasn’t panicking that she’s been recaptured. She leaps up on the bed with a start, and generates two fireballs in her hands.

”I am not going to be someone’s experimental pet! Not again! Let me out now!”

”Hospital?”

Lia looks around as the adrenaline pauses and she takes in the room. More importantly, she hops off the bed near a window and opens it. Ok, that’s real air alright. She puffs out the fireballs, looking a little sheepish now. It looks like she’s ‘out’, but got sleeped by them at woman for... what end exactly?

”Shit, I’m sorry.”

She sits down and tries to look non-threatening as possible.

”I mean I was held against my will after being turned into ‘this’ for... hell I don’t even know how long. They had me in a room with no doors or anything, so I for a second thought I got captured again. Sorry. So what hospital ARE we at and why the heck did I get sent here?””

They brought her all the way to the plateau? Lia is at least appreciative about the media shit, cause the last thing she wants is to be a exhibition for someone.

”Fuck my health. I’ve been sitting and waiting for days in there. I got beat up on the way out but it doesn’t even crack my top ten. Go ahead and let this Lady Anya knobim ready wheneve- Shit no wait! I need my dex. My friends are probably hunting for me now. One of them in particular is probably pissed at me and has a short temper in general, so we might want to put a cap on that before she gets herself killed over me.”
