Lia - Solo RP & Special Missions

While Lia texts her friends to let them know she is both safe and alive, the nurse steps out to go find the person in question. Eventually, the nurse from before returns with two other people. Lia vaguely recognizes Anya of the Elite Four from her past research on what to expect if she makes it through the League Tournament. The other person must be her doctor while she's here. The doctor asks Lia some basic medical questions and then reviews her chart. After determining that she is most assuredly physically healthy, despite the obvious 'changes', the doctor leaves. Now it is just Lia and Anya.

Anya pulls up a chair and maintains a professional attitude the entire time. She asks Lia for as many details of her capture and imprisonment as possible, asking clarifying questions when necessary. She doesn't judge Lia, doesn't look down on her or anything of the sort. Just asks questions and listens to the answers. When all is said and done, Lia is, surprisingly enough, told she is free to leave. She is offered the services of a League Alakazam to be teleported to wherever she wishes. She need not worry about the 'not having been there before' if she just visualizes the location she wants strongly enough.

Anya raises a single eyebrow. "Are you? Are you a 'freak of nature'? Is that how you view yourself?" She asks. "It's true, some in your position would and do believe so. As far as the law is concerned, you are to be treated as a human. Therefore, you have rights. Perhaps in time, hybrids will become more common as they filter into society. Perhaps, due to that, there will be a need for additional laws to aid in governing them, if only to try and minimize prejudice. However, that is not the case for many. People have had similar abilities to Pokemon for ages, both openly and not. The only real difference now is that there are more obvious physical changes to go along with it due to the manipulation of your DNA."

"I'm sure you can find something to do if you're so inclined. I hear Ashandra is hiring for the Cinnabar Gym. She's a tad intense, so most of her gym trainers don't last very long before they want out. You can find her public number on the Gym's website." Anya comments before an Alakazam wearing an Indigo League tabard appears next to Lia. Anya explains that it can't seem to reach you telepathically, so all you need to do is place your hand on its shoulder and visualize where you want to go. Once Lia does, she's whisked away back to her Ranch on Route 24.

Lia finds that her 'fellow' hybrids and all of the group's extraneous Pokemon are around, but Kaeda and Floyd are not at home. There is a response to Lia's message from Kaeda and Eve, with Eve sounding very concerned about her well-being despite her reassurances. Eve also mentions that things picked up around Saffron Genetics not long ago when five squads of the League's ACE Trainers suddenly teleported into the building and began making arrests. Even the person she was shadowing for her internship was arrested on suspicion of illegal activities, though he was returned not five minutes ago. Seems he was cleared of any involvement in....whatever the heck is going on.

Sasha's head snaps around to watch Lia's approach, her Litwick floating silently nearby. She blinks several times as Lia draws closer. "L-Lia?! Is that really you? What the hell happened?!" She then smacks herself with her tail (face-tails?). "No, stupid question. You obviously got put through the same shit I did... at least in part..." She looks Lia over a second time. "So, um... Ninetales, huh? H-how are you feeling about it all?"

Sasha listens to Lia's tail tale with wide eyes, though she glances down at the two tails slowly slinking towards her when Lia claims that they "may have a mind of their own". She looks back at Lia. "Well, as far as I'm concerned, you're still Lia where it counts." Her tail reaches up to jab Lia's forhead. "In here." She nods 'sagely', and Lia gets the impression that if she had any arms, they'd be crossed stubbornly.

Sasha smiles softly. "It's okay, Lia. It's okay to like who you are. What you are. Yes, it was done against your will, like it was with me, but that doesn't mean you automatically have to hate it. If you go out in public, people will stare. If you try to cover it up, people will stare. You will be 'different' than 'them' no matter what, and that will draw attention for awhile." She pauses for a moment. "Eventually though, the stares will lessen. They'll get used to you, and you'll just be another face in the crowd. No more worth a second glance than a rare Pokemon or a celebrity." She sighs, her expression of determination fading. "Which is why you gotta be better than me. I'm way too socially awkward and shy to ever go out in public. I'd melt under all the staring. All the people taking pictures and pointing. The ones saying 'wow, what the heck is that?' and 'is that a costume? that's dedication!'. Like with me, people might at first think yours is just a costume. That your powers, real or not, are just something you can do. Eventually though, someone'll figure it out, and put it on the Poke-net. Then everyone will know. Me? I could never handle such scrutiny. I'd just curl up into a ball and cry, praying that they'd go away, but in truth only drawing more attention to myself." She looks up at Lia again. "But that's because I'm not strong like you. If they started pointing and whispering at you, you'd go and kick their asses. Run them off. You're brave, Lia. I know you are. If anyone can handle this, it's you."

Sasha giggles as Lia's tails seem to act on their own. "Oh my, Lia. Is there something you need to tell me?" She teases.

"Oh no, Lia. I think your tails are just acting out on what you want most." She flutters her eyes at Lia in the "sexiest" way she can (which is to say, it looks more like she's blinking rapidly) and grins at Lia as she uses a vine to gently stroke one of the tails that draws to close.
