Lia hears running footsteps behind her after some time. Multiple sets. She can't possibly have been discovered already, right?! No, wait, it seems like one of the patrols is chasing some woman through the tunnels. She seems panicky and out of breath, like she's been running for some time. As she dives for cover after just barely losing her pursuers, she crashes right into Lia's hiding place, not even noticing her until right before they slam into each other.

Lia peeks around to see the commotion and chasing a woman who seems to be a little panic-indused (That couldn't be Vali, could it? She'd always have some sort of plan, keep her cool, wouldn't she?) and apparently running away from the guards she sees. And looking to pass her. Should Lia do something about i- Before Lia can even think, she's already dived in and crashed into her. Vali or not, if these fake-officials are after her, it's someone Lia needs info out of. Or someone looking to harras them. Either way good with her. They roll a bit, but Lia pins her down under her, and hoping her black stealth clothes will keep them both hidden. She lifts a finger to her gas masked face to mimic a 'shhh' motion but makes no noise. Lia waits it out and hopes that for the moment they are undiscovered. Spending ap stealth:

The panicky brunette remains perfectly still as the not-a-cops stop briefly, look around, and then continue running off again. Likely to report the 'disappearance' of this woman they were chasing. She breathes a sigh of relief when they are finally gone. This is definitely not Vali. Vali has red hair, not brown. Plus, she looks nothing like her. A smidge older, in fact. Like maybe early 20s to Vali's 16-18 or something. Who can tell these days.

Yeah, not her. Hmmm. Once Lia feels it's safe, she pulls out her dex and types 'You all good?' to this stranger and shows it to her.

She nods, typing back that she doesn't think they're specifically looking for her, just that she happened to be on her way back from exploring the lower levels and then those two people just started chasing her for seemingly no reason! The young woman seems to have this wide-eyed, deerling-in-the-headlights look going on, like she is about ready to just have a panic attack or something.

The woman nods, seeming to calm down a bit. The patrols do increase in frequency a bit after a short time, though they aren't super thorough, because they completely miss Lia and this as-yet-unnamed woman hiding behind a rock in a corner.

As the Chansey realizes it lost, Lia searches the trainer for it's ball and recalls it, grabbing her mega choker in the process.
"Enough of that shit."
She sighs. Her whole team fell to a random mook and three pokemon. She probably at this point lost her chance as Vali, and her team is too weak to really do anything about her either. She'll just have to take her consellation prize. She quickly uses her revival herbs to get her main four pokemon back up and running. She then grabs the grunt and throws her over her shoulder and starts walking a safe distance away, hoping to find a secluded spot to interrogate her.
She sets her down and ties her to a tree while making sure her unconscious and balled pokemon away from her, and waits for her to wake up.

While retrieving her Mega Choker from the mook, Lia notices a fourth Poke Ball on the person's belt. Strange that the fourth Pokemon never joined the fray. Probably good for Lia in the long run, as she had enough trouble with the other three, but still. Unfortunately for her, however, neither side of Rock Tunnel has any truly "secluded" spots. Eventually, someone will probably come looking for this person, presuming that they are indeed in league with the fake cops patrolling/blocking off the Tunnel.

Then it's time to go even further, away from all the patrols. If she needs to, she'll revive Avitus to fly them farther away. As an aside, seeing the fourth unused pokemon makes Lia internally feel worse but she's concentrating on this for now.

Avitus is revived, and at Lia's request, grips the unconscious woman in its claws before flying Lia off to someplace secluded. It only takes about five minutes of flight to find a good spot, so Avitus sets them all down and waits to see what happens next.
