Lowell quick switches on the arrival of the Monferno, recalling Stefan and releasing Jamke (His Armaldo!)

(init 7, this turn 17)

Jamke tanks the fire attack with barely any reaction, and its rough skin digs into the Monferno's flesh (-1 tick of hit points) before stomping the ground and causing a set of jagged spikes to fly at Monferno!

Ow. That hurt. Monferno remembers that rough, spiky hide hurting to punch/slam into, so it (somewhat reluctantly) starts throwing rocks of its own instead.

Jamke kind of stared at the monkey for a second as it tried to comprehend that, yes, the solution it had come to in regards to his sharp scales was throwing rocks at the giant rock bug. It then stepped forward again and tried to crush the Monferno between his claws.

The poor Heracross barely even had time to react to the Heat Wave. The trainer looks at Lowell incredulously, but heracross isn't that badly hurt so it's more of a "wtf man" kind of look than one of pure anger/hatred that stems from a severely injured pokemon. The second trainer steps back, and Ayame Massani, daughter to the Gym Leader steps in as the third trainer.

She begins with a Sawk. Init - 21

Lowell kinda shrugged at the second trainer, as if to say "Battle's a battle". He then released Clair (Init 24, this turn 34) who raised both arms to hit with an X-Scissor before blending into the field to make herself harder to hit! (blender capability activate!)

Clair took the blow better than she would have thanks to her leaf cloak (which was prepared specifically for this) and those same leaves seemed to burn away a little, removing the burn. She then used X-Scissor again then doubled-up with Leaf Blade! At the notice of bide, Lowell ordered (Critmoment +Agi!) Clair to get as far away as possible!. (13 tiles run away)

Sawk uses Bide. Lowell tells Leavanny to run away. Sawk/Ayame look down on people who run away as Bide misses because Sawk can't keep up with bugs who run away.

Lowell noticed the girl's anger at his strategies and gives her an exaggerated shrug. "What was I supposed to do, tell Clair to stand there and get injured? That's dumb. I'm not gonna do something that puts my Pokemon in harm's way and hurts my chances of winning because of perceived 'rules of engagement'. As a bug trainer, I don't have that luxury. Everything has a good matchup against my team"

The Occa berry Clair had eaten beforehand made it so she held up notably well against the fire move in comparison to the last one, and attempted to hit back with X-Scissor!

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
