Adventure Thread - Group B

Leon sat up from bed quickly in a cold sweat, he'd never pictured a corpse before...but the ones in his dream, no in his nightmare, seemed so real. Everything seemed so real, the sound of his footprints on the stone echoing through the empty ruin, the heat of the fires that raged. The chill that still sat in his body after seeing the pools of black in that knight's eyes.

He half expected to wake up back there, as if the cozy room he was sitting in now was just something his mind was using to cope. After several minutes of waiting Leon finally found strength in his legs, going through his morning routine, gathering up the supplies he'd gained for joining the guild, slipping them into his bag. Trying to create a sense of normalcy to drown out what he saw during his grisly vision.

'Let's just try to do some work today, maybe the nightmare was just because of nerves.' he thought to himself. Leon secured his gear heading back out into the main room to check if the two jobs he showed interest in were still there. Seeing that they were he picked them both up walking over to someone else in the main room and asking "Excuse me...do I need to give these to someone to accept them or just hand them in when I'm done?" he asked referring to the missions.

Leon

The dark-haired girl looks up at you and glances at the papers you present. An eerie smile spreads across her face. "Oooh, planning to go to the Swamp, are we?" She giggles manically. "Don't you know it's dangerous to go alone?" More giggling ensues, quickly devolving into almost uncontrollable laughter that sends shivers down your spine. Then, as suddenly as it started, it stops and her tone gets serious. "If you want the job (and I don't envy you), just take the paper off the board. If you survive the trip, just provide proof to Lady D'Mara upon your return. Though I imagine the smell will speak for itself."

The girl has seemingly forgotten you were there and addressing her as she gazes off into the distance...or something. When you turn around, there's the other girl from last night.

"Don't mind Aislinn, she's a bit touched." The other girl, Aislinn, sticks her tongue out at the newcomer. "My name is Laurel. To answer your question, people's auras don't cause nightmares. A Pokemon might, but most would have to be nearby to cause such a thing, and I don't know of any malicious Ghost-Types floating around in here."

Alex walked into Normal Branch and noticed Yue at the Mission Board also. 'Man that board is popular. I'll take a look tomorrow at Grass' He thought. He walked by Yue, and picked up Bubbles' ball while saying, "Don't stay up to late!" He then took off for the dorms. He had done so much during the day that he was ready for a good rest. Alex released Bubbles and found the little Ralts sleeping off the injuries. He sighed in relief that the little Pokemon was okay. Alex straightened up the bandages and cleaned up the scratches and such. Bubbles would make a full recovery by morning. Alex then took care of Squirt. Squirt had took a nasty psychic blast that left the bird with a nice headache. Alex took out a little mortar and pestle and whipped up an old family recipe. He fed the poor bird the vile drink and Squirt gagged in response. "Yeah I know pal. It's awful, but it does help. You'll be alright by morning." Alex said to the Wingull.



He then took a minute to find an empty bed in the Normal dorms. He would only stay the night, and go to Grass tomorrow. He wanted to be close to Yue in case she needed Bubbles though. He found a nice bunk near the door and settled in for the night.



(Morning After)



"OH...Woah! Oh my! What was that? Holy...wow." Alex awoke with a start. That dream was all too real. He had never had such an experience before that he could remember at least. Alex looked around the room, hoping that he didn't wake the others. His heart was still racing as he just sat in the bed for a few more moments. 'Man, all I wanted was a good nights rest. Now I'm going to be even more fatigued.' He thought. He pried himself out of bed and checked on Bubbles and Squirt. As he released both, Squirt danced happily around the little Ralts. Bubbles let loose a tiny little yawn and looked around the room. "Easy Bubbles, Yue left me with you to make sure you were all better. We're gonna meet her for breakfast. Sound good? And you..." He pointed at Squirt, "Seems you made a full recovery." Alex removes the bandages to find just trace evidence of the wounds from yesterday. "Both of you have. Excellent." Alex packs up his things and proceeds to the mess hall. He looks around for the gang before sitting down to breakfast.

(Alex used Nurse so his AP is drained by two until the next extended rest. Both Pokemon should be at full health and relieved of up to 2 or 3 wounds. 2 from the rest, and 1 from bandages.)

As Alex sat down at the table, he took Bubbles' ball out and popped her onto the table. He handed over the ball to Yue and said, "Bubbles is extra bright and bubbly today. She missed you and wanted nothing more than to be back with you...or the pancakes. She may have wanted those more. It was hard to tell between the two." He chuckled and added, "I'm just kidding. Bubbles is fine and injury free! Now I would have breakfast, but there isn't a whole lot left here." He said. He did spot a bit of toast that sounded good, so he scooped that up and, while spreading jam added, "I couldn't sleep too well last night. Had this awful nightmare. I don't know if I was just trying to do too much or if it's just being new here. It felt so real though. I hope you had a better time than I did." Alex shuddered as he thought about the nightmare again.

"Alright thank you, I hope you have a nice day," Leon said waving as he headed off, going to the normal branch finding the mess hall without much trouble as he spotted Alex and Yue sitting at a table with many empty dishes. Grabbing some eggs and sausage off a table with no one sitting at it, he sat down with the two of them "Good Morning, did you two have a good first night?" he asked trying to hide his own uneasiness, eating his breakfast.

"A nightmare huh...I had a nightmare too...Can't remember what it was about though..." Yue says, eating her way through another plate of food.

”Wait, wait, wait just a minute. Castle ruins, dead knights, eyes that looked like pools of blackness. You had it too? The very same dream? How in the world, is that even possible?” Alex picked his head up off the table. Anyone looking at him could clearly see he was wracking his brain for an answer, but he couldn’t come up with anything. “And here I thought I was just tired. That’s incredibly strange. Think we should talk to the Psychic Branch about it? They are the mind masters after all. They could have answers. I’ll just add that to the growing list of things to go do today!” The tone in his voice clearly changed at the end of that rant. It was going to be an even longer day for Alex. “Oh, did you decide on what mission to do? Gotta start on that goofy quota also. Don’t want you getting thrown out of the Branch on your second day!” Alex realized he went from sad, to puzzled, to mad, and then to cheeky in the matter of just a few moments. This place was clearly getting to the usually shy and relaxed person he used to be. He wondered if the nightmare was somehow telling him that. 

Good morning Ms. Brooke. Mr. Leon has to beat 3 trains a day or something like that..." Yue says before getting up to get more food.
