Dating? I feel like I've heard that word before...If remember correctly, it's when members of opposite sexes go out and have fun together...In which case... Yue thinks to herself befor turning to Leon. "But Leon, we are dating! You said you were going to take me and Brooke to the Heck-a-Thrill Circus later! Don't tell me you forgot about it?"

Leon sighed he honestly didn't know what to address Yue openly blabbing about something he told her in confidence or the misunderstanding about dating "Yue whatever you think dating means it's not that, go see Brooke she should be able to explain it better since the three of us are friends," he said trying to tackle both sides of this while trying to get Yue away before her lack of a filter turned this conversation from uncomfortable to dangerous.

So I'm sure what's happened, she either is thinking of something else when she's said 'dating' or is close but not exactly right about what it means, in fact, let's test that out," he said explaining things as thoroughly as possible to the girl before looking to Yue "Yue, what is the definition of dating?" he asked wanting Yue to vocalize what she thought it meant.

Unfortunately for Leon, Yue had already hightailed it out of there, upset and crying all the way to Brooke about how Leon wasn't taking them to the circus anymore.

Elsewhere in the guild, the sight of a crying Yue quickly drives all other thoughts out of Brooke's head. "Yue! What's wrong, honey? What happened?" She quickly enfolds the girl in a hug.

Leon saw Yue going off in tears, even if it was from a misunderstanding he had to make sure she was alright "Listen obviously right now I can't convince you, but I need to go make sure my friend is alright. Would you give me your name so I could try to fix this bad impression later?"

Purple Shirt giggles. "You boys are so easy to mess with! I mean, I was hoping for more blushing and stuttering, but I'll take what I can get! I'm sure your friend Brooke will be able to fix things, though you may want to take more time to explain whatever misinterpretation she has of some 'promise' or another." She pirouettes before introducing herself as Zoey Dracor. Leon gets the distinct impression he's heard that last name before. Definitely sounds fancy, at least.

Leon is a little dumbfounded that it had all been a trick, especially now that something in the process had upset Yue, overloaded from the conversation and the distinct feeling he'd heard the girl's name before he mostly reacted with a serious of exasperated faces a couple "I...you...really?"s before finally sighing "It's been...nice meeting you Zoey and you're right I need to go make sure she's alright. Have a nice day," he said glad that he at least wasn't going to get a reputation as some sort of womanizer around the Branch, especially since the branch was mainly women.
Finally free from the awkward accusations Leon followed after Yue trying to catch up to the girl and figure out what got her upset so he could clear things up.

"L-Leon...! H-He said that we weren't going to the circus after all!" Yue syas, still crying before suddenly stopping and blinking a few times. "Hey, Brooke? What's a circus?"

Brooke has her mouth open to promise she'll figure everything out when Yue's question derails her train of thought. She doesn't even... what? She starts smoothing Yue's hair while she figures out an answer. "A circus is a place where people put on a show. There's jugglers, and exotic Pokemon, and... other things, I guess. I've never seen one, myself. I'll talk to Leon and get this sorted out, don't you worry. If he doesn't know where to find one, we'll look for it together, how's that sound?"

Luckily Leon soon walked up "Hey Yue, What's the matter? You just ran off when I was trying to explain we weren't dating to that girl. Who it turns out had just been messing with us the whole time. Her names Zoey Dracor."

Leon looked confused "Yue, wait...if you didn't know what a circus was before, then how did you mess up Hectril..." he said pronouncing it extremely clearly and slowly so she couldn't mistake it "...for Heck-a-Thrill Circus?" Leon asked confused where the girl even got the expectation for a circus when she had no idea what a circus was, especially since he was sure he hadn't said anything similar to circus in his explanation of his family.

After some time, and a lot of Brooke having to drag Leon back out of the Yue conversational rabbit hole, things are at last resolved. The day is beginning to wind down (it is ~2:30 PM), but there is still plenty of time left to do things if one had a mind to. The omni-present Nue lurks silently nearby, to the knowledge of nobody, waiting for the perfect time to 'strike'.
