After the short, rough fight with the Sandshrew, the young man made his way back towards the rest house. It was just too hot to continue catching Pokemon out here for any length of time. After making his way in and cooling of, he sought out the center, making his way along.
Checking his dex for his new Sandshrew's information, he just finally took notice of the message that was sent to him. Seemed that the Center would need to wait for the time being, as he quickly started down the road to the posted address. What in the....what was with all the police tape and barriers? Making his way to the edge of the scene, he peered on, seeing that there was some movement inside the house. This was the right one correct? Well let's just give this all too powerful crime-stopping tape a little lift, and step on past to see what Justin had messaged him about that was so important.

"No, sir!" says a powerful, commanding, female voice. "You need to get back on the other side of that tape right now!"
No turns and sees Officer Jenny marching toward him. "This is a crime scene! No civilians!"
Her voice is loud enough to be heard from within the house.

"Ah, it sounds like Bo has arrived," Justin said wryly, as they heard their friend being ejected from the premises. Walking to the front door, he said, "I'll go give him his badge.
Outside, Justin tossed Bo the lanyard, and explained the situation. "He was sent with us, he just had a couple errands to run," Justin told Officer Jenny. "And, while I'm out here, do you know what type of work the people who lived here did?"

"This house is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Chambers," replies Jenny. "They're an elderly couple. I don't think Mrs. Chambers ever had a career, but Mr. Chambers retired. He used to own an antique shop here in town a long time ago. Right now, they're at Snorlax Resort, but they have been notified of what has happened and should be on their way here soon."

Asa came back outside and gave a small wave to Bo. "They were definitely after the safe. It looks like they took the whole thing with them. I think our next step is to track down the Absol. Either to subdue it if it actually is berserk or to help it if it’s trying to track the robbers."

"What's left of the antique shop?" Justin asked Jenny. "I'd like to know what kind of business he did. Receipts would be ideal."
At Asa's words, Justin turned to her, nodding. "You're right. We can figure out the motive of the robbery later. We need to help the Absol as quickly as possible, before it gets itself hurt."

"The building that used to be the antique shop is our Poké Mart now. If you're going to investigate the missing Absol, we'll stay here and keep looking for clues. Good luck."

The young trainer walked in like he owned the place, with no hesitance at all in his step as the voice of the officer called out to him. He just kept on walking, even as he heard the hasty footsteps approaching. Moments before the Officer was upon him, he saw Justin, who tossed him a lanyard, which the young man caught in hand and affixed to his belt. He then gave a quick Wave to Asa as the others quickly caught him up on the situation. He listened in as he fiddled idly with the lanyard a bit.
Something about some stolen antiques, and an Absol horn? They had certainly gotten into something quite interesting while he was searching the desert for a capture. When the Officer turned, after wishing them good luck, Bo finally spoke up, looking at the two fellow trainers. "So did you two open up a detective agency without telling me about it in the last hour or two?" he jibed a bit, as he idly glanced around, taking a peek inside to see the house for himself. Would have purchased a Fedora and Trenchcoat beforehand if you had warned me earlier. Have to look the part you know. he continued glibly, before stopping and furrowing his brow a bit as he looked at the damages.
"Certainly seems that they wasted no time grabbing what they wanted. You said something about an Absol. Was that stolen along with the safe?" he asked, trying to hastily paint the picture the others had already started.

"I'm sure Justin can put together an appropriate outfit for you at a fraction of the cost. Think of it as good community relations, or at the very least, the chance to earn additional money." Asa paused and gestured in the direction which Jenny said that the Absol had headed during it's rampage. "I'm not versed in how fast such a Pokemon travels, so we should start asap." She called out the Houndour from it's ball.
"Bo, you should know that it looked like machops might have played a factor in the robbery. If it's the same group, there's the Abra as well. Plan accordingly." She moved her own dark Pokemon past the house in hopes of gaining a recognizable scent before heading toward the edge of town.

The Houndour can pick up several different scents, but it's hard to determine which one it should follow without something to help.

Leaning into the bit, Justin pulled down the front of his hat and stuck a fabric pencil between his teeth. "That's right, kid. Jay Trennody, Private I." He blew out "smoke," holding the pencil between two fingers and said, "I could make you look the part. Maybe some five o'clock shadow, and bags under your eyes. Easy."
And then his author was too tired to make a post with real content, but wanted to make that joke. Move us on please!

Asa went back into the ransacked house, looking for where the owners set up the Absol to bed. It was logical that it wasn't kept in a Pokeball if it had battled against the intruders without it's owner there to release it. She brought out anything that she could find so the Houndour could catch it's specific scent.

A small, round pad designed to act as a little bed on the floor and a chewed up Poké Doll both look like great candidates for Absol's scent. Houndour gets a whiff and then sniffs around the area again, this time knowing what it's looking for. Soon it has the trail. It barks loudly, facing to the east, and then looks back to see what Asa wants it to do next. It has already begun to learnt he demeanor of its Trainer and is smart enough not to do anything outside of what it has been asked to do.

Asa smiled at the obedience of her new hound. "He's got the scent. Let's try to make up the ground while we can." With that she began to walk after, giving a hand motion to continue the tracking.
Once she was a good distance from the house, away from prying eyes, she retrieved her Pokedex and switched out her newly evolved Croconaw with the Beedrill. She expected that they might run into the Machops responsible if Absol was tracking them.

Chuckled all the more as Justin played along a bit, waiting till Asa returned with news of picking up a scent. Taking time while they were unseen round the side of the house, he made sure that Toks and Fio were in his party via his dex. "Right then. Lead the way Asa. Hope they've not gotten too far off."

Houndour leads the group through town and onto Route 03. About halfway up the route, Houndour takes a detour off the path and through the brush. On the other side, the trail ends ... at a downed Absol with three Machop standing around it. Behind them, a single individual wearing the garb of the criminals encountered earlier stands next to a Machoke. A steel safe lays on the ground. It looks like it was pummeled nonstop until it opened. Lots of valuables are still visible inside. The man has a single box - the shape and size of a cigar box - in his hands. And, above it all in the air, is that Abra.

Flare's Roar causes all three of the Machop to flee their positions around the badly beaten Absol and rush toward the man.
"What's this?" he says. "Someone's tryin' to get in Team Force's way?" The Abra opens its eyes, which emit a powerful red light, and holds up a hand.
Flare fires its Smog, but right when it's about to hit the whole group, it's like the attack hits some kind of invisible wall. It impacts with the unseen barrier and dissipates. The Abra teleports to the man and grabs one of his shoulders. Then the two of them disappear.
The three Machop and the Machoke still remain, and now it's initiative.
Round 1 begin.

Asa smirked as the Abra predictably teleported away. She quickly recalled her houndour, as the psychic threat was gone. The beedrill that was released in it's place waved the stinger menacingly. "Let’s show this Team Force how forceful we can really be!"
Action Standard action: Pokémon switch.
Swift Action: 2 AP bound to Reckless Advance (Commanding Voice)
Beedrill initiative - 15

There was some quiet hesitance on Bo's part as the group followed after the Houndour. He was a tad worried as a group that had broken into a house and torn a safe from a wall, seemed a fair bit more a challenge than some hoodlums that were watching over some kidnapped kids.
When the finally found the group, there were only a few moments to take in the scene, before Asa made a few short gestures, and send her houndour in the fray. Reaching for his belt, he thought it best time to finally have a try and those Pester Balls he had created. As the Houndour started to dash in, he reached for one, and Tossed one of his Confusion balls, towards the grouped up Pokemon with his right hand, as his left hand went for his belt and moved to release Toks from his ball. His dexterity was improving, or maybe it was just the crunch of the situation.
Actions
Standard Action: Throw Confusion Ball at Grouped Machop/Machoke RBxjC1Un1d20 vs AC 6
Free Action: Chemical Warfare (Scenex2) - Cause a Blast 2, Affecting All targets in the area, (Unsure if this renders the Attack Roll I made moot)
Shift Action: Send Out Toks (Initiative 13)1d20
