Asa
As she runs down the steep slope of the hill, Asa assesses the situation by trying to see what type of Pokemon have been released by the attackers.

Asa
You hit a rock the wrong way or you try to lift your foot while the other one is planted on an untied shoelace ... something ... and you find yourself falling forward terribly fast. You slam into the hard ground of the Route's path and begin to tumble down the rest of the way. The slope is too steep to stop it on your own. Before you lost focus on the van far ahead, you managed to see that every Pokémon released by the assailants looked small, like they are hopefully first-stage evolutions. Other than that, all you managed to see were various blobs of different colors.
(1 Tick of damage from the fall)

The adrenaline of a fight combined with the terror of tumbling down the hill sent Asa's brain for a rollercoaster ride. The rolling down the hill wasn't as bad as the dizziness that ensues upon her stop at it's base. She climbed to her feet, almost too disoriented to be embarrassed, almost. Instinctively, she dusted herself off and winced slightly at the developing bruises hidden beneath her clothing.
Asa gave a deep breath and closed her eyes for the briefest moment to set the world straight before continuing her approach. The good thing about falling down such a steep hill was that the roll was much quicker than her actually trying to run. Once again, she looked over the scene to get a better tactical evaluation now that she was closer, and not windmilling down the path.

You're much closer now. You can see that there are four people - a man in white coveralls and three men in Team Force clothing.
The van driver and his Treecko are doing their best to keep the three Team Force Grunts and their Pokémon away from the van. Your Pokémon is helping a lot. The three Grunts are using a Mankey, a Blitzle, and a Pawniard.

"Team Force, of course it's you. You best get out of here while you can! Because when I'm through with you, crawling back under your rock will be a slow and painful process!" Asa glowered at the thugs. The dust and grime from her tumble actually helped her intimidating appearance, like some grizzled veteran archeologist.
"Focus on the Blitzle before it can do too much damage, Sturm!" Asa yelled out her commands as she approached. Out of the three enemies, the electric type was definitely the biggest threat. Hopefully the man recognized it as well, and would have his Treecko help eliminate it fast.

The Grunt with the Pawniard is successfully intimidated. He recalls his Pokémon and flees, calling out some flimsy excuse for leaving like making sure the higher-ups get a report on what's happening. Now it's down to you and the van driver vs the two remaining Grunts.

"Alright Sturm, the field is even. Everyone focus on the Blitzle!" Asa pointed at the striped horse as she spurred the ghostly amphibian into action.
Actions Standard: Asa uses Commander's Voice to issue Focused Training and Strike Again! to Sturm. Swift: Asa used Battle Conductor to issue Focused Training to the Treecko and it's trainer.

The van driver seems to know what to do with this very welcome assistance, and orders his Treecko to use Dig. Treecko obeys, diving straight down into the ground. Sturm's turn.

Sturm
The amphibian seemed to sense the electrical currents that were present in it's enemy. It's eyes flashed baleful red as it channeled psychic energy into two rays in rapid succession.

The Blitzle is greatly injured by the assault but is not KO'd. Its Grunt orders it to retaliate. Blitzle uses Discharge against Sturm! | AC: | mrFU4sKW1d20 vs 2 + Target's Evasion | Type: | Electric | Frequency: | EOT | Damage: | 2d8+27 | Extra Damage if Crit: | 2d8+10 | Damage Category: | Special | Range: | All Cardinally Adjacent Targets | Effect: | Discharge Paralyzes all legal targets on 15+. |
|
The Mankey doesn't target anyone and attacks the van itself, which seems to greatly panic the van driver. The side door gets caved in but remains attached to the vehicle. At the beginning of the new round, Treecko appears and uses Dig. Blitzle is KO'd! 1d20·2d8+27·2d8+10

"We've got the advantage, keep the pressure on until they crumble! Hit that Mankey with everything you have!" The young girl sounded more like a military commander than a nerdy paleontologist.
Actions Standard: Asa uses Commander's Voice to issue Focused Training and Brutal Training to Sturm. Swift: Asa used Battle Conductor to issue Focused Training to the Treecko and it's trainer.
