Nah, I'm also applying as a human. Original concept is a contender for the captain position as a hobbyist-commander who helps everyone else with their skill checks. I may or may not try to squeeze in channeler. Will need to think on that a little more.
Although, if only one human gets in, then that opens up the hilarious possibility of all of us masquerading as a trainer and their team XD .

Alright then. Here we go. Meet Dr*. 451M0VA Porygon with a short fuse, but a master of the arts of robotics and augmentation. While he may seem belligerent to almost everyone, he is actually highly protective of his "creations." *(Legal Disclaimer: Dr. 451M0V is not a real doctor. 451M0V cannot be held responsible for what happens should you assume he is a real doctor. 451M0V is only certified for implanting of augmentations. This disclaimer has been brought to you by Xavier Enterprises.) Edit: just changed a few things about his personality and motivations.

Okay, in my defense, this started as a funny idea. To quote something from the personality, "The straight man, but actually quite gay." Then, somewhere along the way (read: everything after I wrote after that line), I couldn't expand the funny. Regardless, I introduce Setsukko Miyahoshi (get it owo ?). She can fill in as a novice engineer or mechanic if needed, but the real intent of her build is to boost the skill checks made by other people. Well, that and the obvious Commander shenanigans, which is great because I'm not sure how useful skill boosting will actually be. If, for whatever bizarre reason, this crew was slapped together without a designated leadership, then Setsukko is a prime candidate for whatever captain/first mate/officer role is open. As she's not a huge fan of physical exertion, you'll usually find her at the very back of the conflict, sitting on a chair as if she owned the place. If there is no chair suitable for her, then that's what her ditto is for.

In order: - Channelers and Sentient Pokemon: Sapient Pokemon had some serious changes done to their gene code. They are unaffected by a channeler's abilities, and cannot be caught by Pokeballs.
- PC as a Shuckle: Yes.
- Do Pokemon PCs keep their special movement capabilities: Yes.

Any Space Captain worth their space salt needs a fancy cape! Let's see... Decidueye, Hawlucha... Mega Gallade? Can I be a Mega Pokemon since we use trainer stats and the actual Pokemon's stats are irrelevant?
Are there other Pokemon with capes? Hmm.

Would I be allowed to take the Glitched Existence edge to start? Because I'm fine if I can't, just thought it would be cool.

I wouldn't want to be one, but Leavanny could definitely be a future team member! And if I go with Gallade it also fits a potential quasi- swordfighter theme.
Roserade could work, too, and has the added bonus of wearing a mask...

In order: - Mega Pokemon PCs: You can't start as them, and you'll need to find the items you need to Mega Evolve (which differ for Pokemon PCs),
but yes, it is possible to Mega Evolve while playing as an uplifted Pokemon. The difference is largely cosmetic. - Starting with Glitches: No. Glitch phenomena is rare- like, pseudolegendary rare- and will only be handed out at my discretion. You also cannot start with glitches.
Also, if you really need a cape, you can always go out and buy one. Or play as Gumshoos. Trench coats are the capes of the future!

I'm intrigued by this, and would like to put Subject 43 (or Zitmo, as he prefers to be called) forward for consideration.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but where's the Aloan pokedex?
For the record while I'm going to to be a mad scientist using Medic / Researcher (Apothecary/Gadgeteer).

Would it be fine if I'm a part of a family that owns a megacorpation? Or at least an up and coming one?

I've changed my app slightly. I'm going all in on the 'any pokemon allowed' part of the Sentient rule.

The vehicle / pokebot rules combined with an actual pokemon that can't do anything are a bit much to work together.

Would 451M0V be allowed to take the Defensive Hacking edge even though they don't have a Datajack, as they already have the Wired capability?

In order: - Member of a corporate family: That's fine, but you don't get any bonus equipment or money for doing so.
- Take advantage of the Wired capability: yes.
