Question are you going with the books rule that putting an augment on a Pokemon without that slot. Is the same as installing a cybernetic version of said slot for double the capacity? Like if I installed embedded weaponry on an Ekans, It would grant give them an arm/arms? for 6 capacity instead of 3?
Edit:Also is Essence Loss a thing too? and Rejection Drugs?

In order: - Pokemon Accommodations: There are plenty of accommodations for non-humanoid Pokemon (ramps instead of stairs, for example.) For a "fish-out-of-water" type character, there are special suits you can get (basically, a robot suit with a fishbowl for a head. You reside in the fishbowl) which cost as much as a Butlerbot. However, in order to ensure you have cash to spend on other things, I'll rule that he can start with one such suit. Should it be damaged or destroyed, he'll need to pay the cash to repair or acquire/build a new one.
- Pokemon Augmentations: It depends on the augmentation. To use the Ekans example, you could install arms ending in hands so they can use guns. You could also install arms ending in guns, which gives them weapons and basic bonking ability while not improving their capacities in the slightest.
- Augmentation Complications: They are both a thing, yes. 36th century medicine is powerful, but not infallible. This only applies to biological creatures, though: AIs and robots can get augmentations without either complication, due to their mechanical natures.

So Pokemon keep capabilities from their Pokedex entry, but what about skills? Do those transfer as well, or are they chosen like a normal human trainer, so I could have a glowing Chinchou with 4d6 stealth?
Edit: And if I understand correctly, Pokemon Pokemon trainers start as level 1 Pokemon, meaning level 1 moves, and a long time to evolution, even if they're something like a Caterpie?
Edit 2: If Pokemon do keep their skills, do we still get to apply a normal trainer background?

In order: - Skills: They are chosen like a normal trainer, so yes, a Chinchou with 4d6 stealth is possible. Also, it's usually considered a bad idea to give your GM ideas like that.
- Evolution: Yes. Evolution is simply a form change for uplifted Pokemon. However, something none of you thought to ask is if you could use second or third form Pokemon as your trainer. You can, but again, your trainer is statted out like a normal human (to keep things balanced.) Still, though, if you wanted to play the ultimate "fish out of water" you could theoretically start as a Wailord...
- Background: Pokemon do not get to keep their skills (they're applied like a normal trainer), so backgrounds are as normal.

This is still a work in progress. His description and crunch are completed, will be working on personality/ goals/ background shortly. Blurp, the Crash Test DummyEdit - I may have lied when I said crunch was done, since I have a question. Can I treat Blurp's bowl as a vehicle, following those rules and posting it in a pokebot section of the sheet?

Alright, here's the result of all my questions: Marty Morel! This Farfetch'd is a Chef/Roughneck, looking to teach everyone what real food tastes like, and he'll force feed you if he has to!

Could I start with a Ditto?
Also, is it okay to have more than one Pokemon out in a fight? Only one Pokemon will be controlled while the other will have orders to remain stationary.
What I'm going for is for my trainer to start a fight with one Pokemon while she sits on another Pokemon like she owns the place. Ideally, this would be a Ditto transformed into some sort of chair-throne-thing, but I can make do with some majestic first-stage mount or another.

I might just do that depending on the ruling that his bowl receives. Just beat up everything myself until they evolve.

Sorry about not posting sooner; work is a pain in the neck. Anyway, in order: - Fishbowl Vehicle: Yes, because that actually makes sense (if the bowl is breached, he's in trouble.) We'll have to discuss Breach points later.
- Ditto Starter: Yes.
- More than one out in a fight: Yes (in some cases, it'll be necessary), but things tend to get a little confusing in those cases.
- PC is a Ditto: I don't see why not.
- PC is a Porygon: Yes; this also means you can enter cyberspace at will***, and potentially "teleport" from one planet to another. Stay away from corrupted computer files.
Unless you want to take the chance to become a Glitch Bender.
***You can only enter via a computer connected to the net. Some computers are only part of a closed network, and some aren't connected at all. Also, things may get freaky when the computer's power is switched off and you're still inside...

Does a channeler treat sentient Pokemon as regular pokemon?

Sounds great. I've put the vehicle on his sheet, using the pokebot tab.

If we're starting as a pokemon with special movement capabilities, do we keep those capabilities or not? E.g. Porygon having levitate 4 Do I keep that?
