Haruka frowned, but... Dean wasn't convinced by her logic. She would really rather take out the Crocoal first, but... considering Dean's turtle didn't even have a water move yet, maybe it was for the best. "... Well, alright. I'll target the Iguard then. I just hope it goes down fairly quickly..." she said, sounding unconvinced. Looking at the battlefield... attacking the Iguard would probably leave Kasai open for attacks from both of its allies... Hopefully someone would get between him and the Swimole, though. She supposed there wasn't any more use in thinking about it, she just needed to hope things went well. She called out to her pokemon, "Kasai, Coal Scatter on the Iguard!"Moving to G6 then using Coal Scatter on the Iguard.

Emboldened by the faith put in him by his teammates Dean steps up and starts directing Shuriken. He points out the opposing Iguard. "Remember that guy over there. It will be your opponent once more. This time though, you are going right through that Iguard. Start off with your Ice blade and then Move between those cats."The iguard hops in the air and starts spinning, one of his fins elongating and taking on an icy blue glow. Like it's namesake he darts forward to the Iguard and tries to slash at it with the frozen blade. He doesn't stop till he's between the pair of crocoal. Dean uses focused training on Turistar. Turistar moves into melee with Iguard on E7 and then continues moving to G7

Nicholas opens her mind to mock Haruka's prayer, but as soon as she claps her hands invoking the Lucky Chant, his face turns to disbelief. "What the- How-" he babbles, before aggressively turning to Selena. "That's cheating! She's using magic!""On her own team, which is allowed by the rules," she says simply, but her face looks as confused as Nicholas. In fact, all of the other trainers, Adrian included, stare at Haruka with different degrees of surprise. "She's good."As soon as the judge says it, Haruka turns to Kasai and gives her command, quickly followed by Dean. Kasai is fast, immediately rushing to do as told and releasing a blast of embers at the opposing iguard. The grass pokémon holds its shield high, trying to hold most of the attack away but with little success. Mark's voice is finally heard, though, much deeper than a boy his age should have, yet kind and encouraging. "Stay calm, Block. Hold your defense and take a moment to find an opening," he says in his strong voice. Block do as told, and somehow manages to endure the first attack. The turistar takes a little more time to listen to his trainer, but soon after he's spinning through the air, a cold mist on his trail as he uses the ice attack. Iguard doesn't use his shield, still occupied with the fire blast, trying to block most of the damage with his tail instead. After the combined strike, Block seems barely standing, but still up. Nicholas smirks. "Guess your magic won't do shit," he says satisfied with something. "Fangs, blast low, full force. Block, Condyl, wither them down," he orders simply, and the three pokémon take a more offensive position. The crocoal is the first to act, obeying his trainer as he releases his own blast back at the two pokémon ahead, but aiming mostly at the ground. Unable to avoid the hear, both Kasai and Shuriken are caught on it, and while they are resistant to fire, the attack is a very powerful one. Both pokémon are left a bit staggered, and Shuriken has some serious burn marks even. Block comes next, moving ahead to strike the turistar as well, the green energy empowering his claws as he brings them down on Shuriken's carapace. The advantageous nature of the attack proves too much and Shuriken slowly tries to retract into his shell, stopping mid-way unconscious. "Ha! This is gonna be so easy!" Nicholas celebrates smugly. Dylan has a somewhat guilty face when he commands his own pokémon in a low voice. "Condyl, focus on the snake," he says a bit insecure, before adding: "but keep your distance, please." The swimole gives no indication it has actually listened, other than the fact her gaze moves down towards the superboa. Actions- Kasai uses Coal Scatter on Block for Super-Effective damage.
Block activates Sour Candy, getting 10 DR against the attack, and the Accentuated Taste increases his Evasion by +1.
- Shuriken uses Ice Blade on Block for Super-Effective damage. It deals 2 Injuries.
- Fangs uses Coal Scatter on Shuriken and Kasai for 32 Fire, Physical damage.
Fangs activates Spicy Wrap, getting +10 Damage, and the Accentuated Taste increases his Critical Hit Range by +1. It's Not Very Effective. Kasai loses 16 HP and is Flinched. It's Not Very Effective. Shuriken loses 17 HP, takes 2 Injuries and is Flinched.
- Block moves to F7 and uses Rough Swipe on Shuriken for 22 Grass, Physical damage.
It's Super-Effective. Shuriken loses 21 HP, takes 2 Injuries and Faints.
It's now Pulap's turn, and Dylan can switch his pokémon as a free action.

As the battle starts, Erica scoffs when Haruka sticks around, and even manages to convince them that she can use her crazy magic. Ooookay so she can use that, but Erica can't use her cases, and it's morally wrong to coax a few dollars out of them. Sure. Ok. Nothing wrong with that. She also shakes her head at Dean discussing tactics while the others can clearly hear them. "There's such a thing as a group huddle Dean, but sure..."As the others shout orders, Erica just gives Pulap a word of caution as the battle starts. Erica uses Inspired Orders on Pulap. And almost as the battle began, Dean's first pokemon gets knocked cold. I thought you were supposed to be our expert? Guess I gotta solve this...She looks to her Superboa, and really hopes it's listening. "Pulap. 'Block' over there looks to be about to keel over. Make sure it does."Pulap's eyes light as it hones in on a target. She slithers over and snaps a few times at the enemy Iguard, trying to find a way past the shield... The superboa leaps towards Block, and the weight of the iguard's wounds finally gets the better of him, preventing the grass pokémon from properly defending. Pulap's jaws penetrate his arm and the venom destroys the last chance of him staying in the battle. Block falls over his shield unconscious, and Mark immediately recalls him. "I'm sorry, Block," Mark says in his deep voice to the pokéball, "but you did a fantastic job. Rest a bit now." The boy puts the ball back on his belt, taking a second one and throwing it on the field. A large pinkish piglet appears between the other two enemy pokémon and quickly digs a small trench on where it lazily lays. "Pudgy, can you help Fangs, girl? We're counting on you!"Meanwhile, Condyl's focus on Pulap becomes an indicator of something else as her eyes shine and the superboa is suddenly thrown down by some kind of psychic force, black marks appearing where her body hit the ground. As soon as that happens, Nicholas tries to capitalize on the advantage. "Fangs, it's down. Take a shot!" The crocoal quickly builds up another blast of fire and releases it straight ahead, and both Pulap and Fangs are caught on the shower of coal and ember. Haruka is quick, though, and she immediately casts another layer of protection on the pokémon. Kasai and Pulap still stand after the attack, thanks to the priestess' enchantments that briefly shimmer in the air. Actions- Dylan uses Focused Training on Condyl.
- Mark uses Brutal Training on Condyl, Fangs and Pudgy.
- Nicholas uses Inspired Training on Pudgy, activating Cheers.
- Pulap uses Nip with Venom Glands on Block for Super-Effective damage.
Block faints.
- Condyl uses Confusion on Pulap for 25 Special Psychic damage.
It's Super-Effective! Pulap loses 33 HP and takes 2 Injuries.
- Fangs uses Coal Scatter on Pulap and Kasai for 51 Physical Fire damage in a Critical Hit.
Pulap activates Lucky Chant and Reflect, loses 13 HP and is Flinched. It's Not Vet Effective! Kasai uses a Lucky Chant, loses 12 HP, takes 1 Injury and is Flinched.

As soon as the battle takes off, Dean notices that sending out Shuriken was a mistake. Yes, it landed a great hit, but it was not ready for the backlash. After two hits, it was down without anyone being able to do anything about it. Gritting his teeth, he goes for another ball on his belt but he hesitates as Mark sends out another pokémon as well. A pig that lives in the mud, probably a ground type of some sorts. He knew for sure that Sentinel would be the Obvious choice, as long as he could keep it away from that Crocoal. Throwing the ball away from him his green lizard companion materialises, shield at the Ready. With the rest of the pokémon clumped together, Dean focuses his attention on Swimole. "Let's do this Sentinel, Rough Swipe on Swimole, give it all you got"Sentinel approaches his opponent with a curve, avoiding the other battling pokémon as much as possible. His claws elongate and take on a green tinge and Sentinel swipes at the Swimole. Sentinel moves to B8 and uses rough swipe on Swimole. Dean uses Focused training

Erica smirks as the enemy Iguard falls to Pulap, but then before she can blink Pulap gets double-teamed by psychic and fire attacks, and looks to be flattened quickly... until she sees Haruka's effects take hold, and Pulap seems to be 'just' holding on. Erica lets out a breath she didn't realize she was holding in. Ok maybe let's not be so mad at Haruka after this...She debates switching but sending out Pulap back into the fray with only one leg to stand on (Metaphorically anyway) isn't the best idea. She just hopes the Superboa will be nimble enough to keep dodging future attacks hoping to get at least one more attack in. Erica uses Inspired Orders on Pulap

As soon as Sentinel is out, he advances as ordered to strike at the swimole. Condyl doesn't move and take the hit head-on, but even the advantageous nature of the attack didn't seem to do much damage as her skin seemed to harden for a second. Dylan smiles satisfied with himself, commanding his pokémon a little more confidently this time. "Condyl, keep it busy for now," he says, but the swimole is already doing her thing, eyes fixed on the iguard as the mental energy batters it down. Sentinel takes it far better than Pulap had, though, and barely flinches, his shield at ready for the next attempt. Meanwhile, the oinklet laying on the ground starts salivating, and the mix of spit and dirt become a wet mess that she suddenly throws at the superboa with a motion of her body. The blob of mud hits Pulap on the face, and the combination of the unexpected weight and speed is enough to put Pulap out of the fight with a low whimper. Actions- Sentinel uses Rough Strike on Condyl for Super-Effective damage.
Condyl activates Salty Surprise, getting 10 temporary Hit Points, and the Accentuated Taste gives it 5 extra. Dylan also activates Hits the Spot for 8 extra temporary HP.
- Condyl uses Confusion on Sentinel for 26 Psychic Special damage and Disengages.
Sentinel loses 15 HP.
- Pudgy uses Mud Slap on Pulap for 18 Ground Special damage.
Pulap loses 15 HP.

Haruka kept track of the fight, initially smirking as their opponents reacted to her abilities, then shifting to a bit more of a stony expression as Dean's pokemon went down almost immediately after it was sent out. Well... that wasn't a good start. The large blow Erica's Superboa took immediately after wasn't a good sign either... She thought about what she should do next... Reflect or Light Screen? Both would be useful now considering there were two things on the field worth worrying about, one strong in physical attacks and the other in special attacks... Though... she came to a decision. She decided on Reflect and prepared herself to weave the protection around her and her friends. It had nothing to do with her continued desire to see the rude one lose, not at all. She focused... then began to chant. "Swords of Justice! Please grace us with your protection-" she started, though as she did, she noticed the rude one's Crocoal charging up an attack and flinched as she went through the motions more quickly, "-andpreventusfromtakingharm!" she rushed out as she clapped her hands much more quickly than before. There was a brief moment where nothing happened, and she worried about whether the change in pace had done something, but... soon enough the shimmering veil descended over her group and she let out a sigh of relief. Just in time too, as the protective veil flared up to prevent Erica's Superboa from getting knocked out by an attack. Though... it wasn't for long as another attack careened in to knock it out. Haruka frowned, at least it was kept it up long enough to take another blow, she supposed. Though... still, that was two lost on their side compared to one on the other. Perhaps she could help even that out as Erica's weird bird appeared behind the two pokemon in front of Kasai and let out a large bubble attack. "Kasai! Make them pay, Revenge!" she called out, directing Kasai forward after the other Crocoal that had attacked him previously. Haruka uses Reflect before making Kasai use Revenge on Fangs.

As soon as the dribbino appears behind their pokémon, Mark opens his mouth to say anything, but Nicholas quickly puts his hand on the other boy's shoulder to stop him. "Hold it, girl," he then says, not even looking at Nicholas. The dribbino opens his beak and releases a blast of its explosive spit bubbles, hitting both the crocoal and the oinklet. Pudgy barely seem to notice it, but Fangs is badly hurt by the attack, and it really doesn't help that Kasai takes the moment to attack as well, lowering his head as he charges straight into the other crocoal, pushing it onto the ground. The combined attack proves to be too much, and Fangs doesn't stand back up. Nicholas' smirk doesn't falter, though. He quickly recalls Fangs and throws his second pokémon at the field, a small brownish mammal with a large tongue sticking out. "Volt, let's make this quick. Charge up!" he orders, and the pokémon takes a fighting stance and small sparks fly from the yellow marks on its pouches. Actions- Gapic uses Bubble on Fangs and Pudgy.
It's Super-Effective! Fangs takes 2 Injuries and loses -1 Speed CS. Pudgy can't lose Stages because of Cheers.
- Kasai uses Revenge on Fangs.
Fangs takes 3 Injuries and Faints!
- Dylan uses Focused Training on Condyl.
- Mark uses Inspired Training on Pudgy.
- Nicholas switches Fangs for Volt.
He then uses Brutal Training on Condyl, Pudgy and Volt.

Erica chuckles as the fire-type falls to her and Haruka's attacks. And Pluc's bubble seemed to work on the newcomer well, even if it seemed to not notice it much. "Pluc, move over and keep bubbling them!"Hopefully continuing to keep the pressure on multiple pokemon will make up for the disadvantage they seem to keep being in. It's two to two at this point, but the way this battle is going, it won't stay that way for long. Pluc makes a step back over, and even 'if' the Swimole will not feel a ton from that attack, it'll at least feel something, and Erica doesn't have much of a choice unless she gets Pluc to back up and get some distance. More bubbles are sprayed! Erica uses Inspired Orders on Pluc

Haruka felt some satisfaction as the rude boy's Crocoal dropped under the two attacks, but there wasn't any time to rest on her laurels, she wasn't done with the hard part of her wards quite yet. She concentrated as she reached for that inner focus... "Mew, the All Mother, grace us with your protection! Please, protect us from those who would wish to take your gift from us! Light Screen!" she chanted, clapping twice in her usual measured pace, sending another wave of shimmering wards over the pokemon on her side of the field. She let out a bit of a long breath as she finished, feeling slightly fatigued. Haruka didn't... usually have so many strong charms like this up so close together, it was a bit taxing. She looked over the field, brow furrowed. Hopefully it'd make a significant difference...

Pluc is swift in repositioning at his trainer's commands, once again shooting bubbles at the pokémon nearby in an attempt to maintain the pressure. Condyl and Pudgy are the targets this time around, but neither pokémon seem greatly affected by the attack. The moist environment it creates, however, proves to be quite useful for the newcomer Volt, who immediately releases an impressive ammount of electricity towards the dribbino. Luckily, Haruka is once again quick on her feet, adding another layer of defense to her teammates just in time for Pluc to enjoy the extra protection from the effective attack. The bird pokémon is left badly charred from the shock, but still up, for Nicholas' dismay. "Come on! That can't be fair!" he yells at Selena, who simply shakes her shoulders with a smile, which makes Nicholas' mood somehow worse. "Freaking cheaters, I'm gonna make you regret that." Adrian now also has a serious face, as the boy seems to be both annoyed and impressed at the same time. Actions- Pluc uses Bubbles on Condyl and Pudgy.
It's Not Very Effective on Condyl!
- Volt uses Thunder Shock on Plus for 33 Electric Special damage.
It's Super-Effective! Pluc uses a Light Screen, loses 30 HP and takes 2 Injuries.

With all of the new Pokémon joining the fray so close after each other, dean is having some trouble of keeping his focus. The new arrivals did bode some trouble. If he judged Nicholas well, his Pokémon would be another glass canon. It might be a good idea to take that one out as a first priority, essentially removing the trainer from the battle. "Sentinel, keep up with rough swipe, switch focus to the electric type."Iguard only nods as he launches himself at his new targets, claws ready to strike once more. Dean uses focused training on sentinel and sentinel moves up to B9 and uses Rough Swipe.

Dean orders Sentinel to switch tactics, aiming for the stickibat, but Nicholas seems to think otherwise. "Condyl, defend Volt!" he quickly tells Dylan's pokémon, who surprisingly reacts much faster than when commanded by her own trainer. The swimole quickly leaps between Sentinel and Volt, taking the strike that was aimed at the electric type. The hastiness prevents it from defending properly and a large gash is formed on her body, but she remains in the field. Barely. Dylan's clenches his fists, but say nothing, his eyes focused on Sentinel. Soon after, Pudgy repeats her mud attack, the area around her wet from drool and some kind of sweat as she throws the sludge at Kasai this time, but her aim is amiss and the blob lands far from the crocoal. "Don't worry, girl. Get ready for them to move!" Mark says in his reassuring voice, and the oinklet seem to swim through the mud to get some distance from the enemies.. Actions- Sentinel uses Rough Swipe on Volt, but Condyl Intercepts, pushing Volt to B10!
It's Super-Effective! Condyl takes 2 Injuries.
- Condyl can't act because he Intercepted.
- Pudgy uses Mud-Slap on Kasai, but misses.
She then Disengages to F9

Haruka stared at the proceedings with a bit of shock, did that boy just... She couldn't believe it! And with the expression Dylan's face, it didn't seem like he exactly wanted that to happen. Ooooh! That guy was asking for a punch in the nose! Making his allies take hits for him without asking? Haruka couldn't believe how terrible that rude boy was! She narrowed her eyes as she directed Kasai, "Coal Scatter! Don't let him get away with that!" She called out, letting her Crocoal loose. As she did so, she focused her energies. After a brief moment she stretched out her hands at Kasai with a cry of effort, causing the defensive charms around him to strengthen somewhat. She straightened her glasses as she observed the battlefield. Hopefully if the Swimole didn't go down after that hit, Kasai would be able to take another one without going down with that charm... Kasai moves to C8 and uses Coal Scatter on Condyl and Volt! Haruka uses Sage base feat on Kasai!

Erica blinks a few times in surprise. Wow, okay. Didn't even know you could do that. Nicholas is just a huge dick. PERFECT. Kasai's blast of fire hits the swimole and the stickibat. The latter is badly singed by the attack, but remains standing with a little difficulty. Condyl, however, despite resisting most of it with her wet skin, is unable to endure the many hits she's taken so far and finally falls down, beaten. Dylan has a heavy look on his face as he sighs, clearly trying no to look at Nicholas as he replaces his pokémon on the field. The newcomer is a small equine pokémon that glister under the sunlight with a metallic skin. "Asino, focus on the crocoal and keep your ground." he orders the pokémon, just as Pluc releases a high-pitched focused blast of noise at Pudgy. The oinklet shakes with the sonic attack but does not abandon her little puddle. Meanwhile, Asino takes his trainer's orders to heart as he swirls around to kick Kasai in the face with its powerful hind legs, but Haruka's charms once again protect the pokémon from harm, acting almost like a thin wall that endure most of the attack. Actions- Kasai uses Coal Scatter on Condyl and Volt.
It's Not Very Effective! Condyl Faints. Volt takes 2 Injuries and is Flinched.
- Pluc uses Sonicboom on Pudgy.
Pudgy takes 1 Injury.
- Asino uses Double Kick on Kasai for 18 Fighting Physical damage.
Kasai loses 1 HP.

With the swimole finally down, Dean saw the opportunity to quickly take out Stickibat. The newly released pokémon looks pretty cool and it reminds him of the pokémon the nurse talked about earlier. He made a mental note to ask the Dylan after the battle where he encountered it.
"Okay Sentinel, once more. Use your Rough Swipe."
Sentinel is relentless in it's assault, it's claws almost in a constant green tone from the Rough swipes he's been handing out left and right. Dean watches his pokémon with a statisfied expression on his face.
