"I... suppose," she says, hesitantly, at Angela's suggestion. "I doubt I'll get any information from here with all this going on."
"I'm not going to let him study me, though," she continues, with more force, turning to Edgar. "If I wanted that, I'd just have stayed home. And, with that Thing... and all this right now... well, I really don't feel like sticking around." Not if it's constantly like this. Even if he's able to fix her, she wants to make sure that she isn't going to be devoured before being able to make it back.
With the other woman releasing her Pokémon, Sylvia does decide that that's a sensible precaution. She releases Carbuncle by her feet, noticing that the occasional flickering static-y patches on the Sableye seem to have gotten a little more prolific. Hopefully that's not a bad sign.

Edgar nods, producing a pokeball himself before it vanishes with another twist of the wrist. "A fair assessment miss; and one I'll keep in mind should the local Spark get too... intent on studying you."

"I can assure you that your 'assistance' won't be necessary." Skit said as he put a firm hand on Edgar's shoulder. Skit knew he was just trying to set the girl's mind at ease, but he didn't want to bring any hostile guests. He didn't care much for his current employer, but he wasn't about to allow the group of strangers to act as if he were some kind of antagonist.
"Now then, if we are all in agreement you can follow me." Skit began to lead off to the manor once again, and he didn't bother to look back and see who was following. "Oh! And if I do see that thing again," he shouted over his shoulder "I will see what I can do."

I'm not going to say it was damage, but it was damage.

"Then there is a matter of dimensional folding and relative spacial distance." Parish followed up Angela's claim to Sylvia. "Though it might be the most distant point on the horizon to us, it may be but a step to something lacking the perception of our physical depths. As the bird flies, to turn a phrase." Removing a device from his hip, he pushed a dark aquamarine stone into a socket at it's fore. With a whine, and a light, a squat humanoid faded into existence. It looked much like a clank at a glance, but carried itself with a degree of self awareness presented in the attentive swivel of it's head. His protector summoned, Parish again pocketed his device and fell into step behind 'Skit', attentions remaining on the clock tower.
"Three sparks and other oddities in such a specific place. It leaves one to consider how perhaps predestiny carries weight, a resonance of souls if you would. Two protectors, a gathering of sharp minds, and a peculiarly displaced woman." He comments more to himself then anyone in particular.

"Wow, sir you are amazingly generous" Lennart said, joyed by the man's easy cooperation. Now with that matter of import settled it was time to... Oh wait, where else did Lennart have to go? Smaller portals were still opening up all around the place, with the chance that the "Ultra Beast", as that women had called it, could burst through any of them. And while it would be an exhilarating experience to see the thing first hand, it would also be Lennart's last if he was unlucky enough to face it alone.
He quickly went to follow Samuel and the man touting the impressive dimensional jargon. Surely the best action would be to stick with the people best equipped to solve the problem "Ergh, Of course though it would be ill of me to abuse your good nature. I am not a man of much quality, but surely I can be of some aid. And besides we still have to discuss how I should pay you back for your kind offer!"

Angela gave no acknowledgement to most of the group as they made their decision to head towards the spark's residence. It was the most logical thing to do, handle the problem's source. Despite her discoveries here being a pleasant suprise she was currently chiding herself as she realized she should have attempted to Channel the beast. It was likely to fail, but she might have at least obtained some emotion from it, another feeling to describe to herself...she also probably would have been able to give it a codename if she had. She channeled her Rem, keeping the connection going between him and herself. She admitted that she was tempted to try and channel the other ones popping up, her eyes particularly glued to the static patches on the...Sableye? Pokemaniac: DC 10 Roll:17 Angela learns the level, type, nature, and abilities of Carbuncle
Yes, that is a Sableye, she's seen them once or twice before, but there was something off about this one. She just couldn't put her finger on what exactly, it certainly wasn't the normal typing it had, in fact the typing didn't match up with anything of this realm. She needed to know more, and with that, she tried to channel the Sableye. Angela's Channeling roll, in case it matters DC:15 Roll: 21 She tries to send the Sableye her intrigue and curiosity, wondering what made it so different from it's brethren, Could it perhaps explain it to her?

Edgar easily falls in step, not quite taking point, but in a position that will allow him to get to the front of their little group with ease. He keeps an eye out for anything coming from the cracks in reality they pass. Perception: 12

"Uh, thanks," Sylvia says to Edgar, before everyone begins to leave for the tower. Certainly not wanting to be left behind in this tear-filled courtyard, she follows suit, Carbuncle sticking near her.
At Angela's connection to the Sableye, she gets a small feeling of static in the back of her head, but not enough to actually block the reciprocated curiosity coming through. There's also a feeling of wariness, and caution, as it stares up at her with its crystalline eyes.

Angela tries to assure the Sableye that she means no harm, she even gave it a small wave and a smile to show that it was indeed her that was talking with them. She sent her emotion of curiosity again, trying to prompt some reaction to that. She knew that the first time most were confused at dealing with a channel, now is as good as time as any to introduce them to the system. She sent a nudge to Rem for him to get closer and help reassure the Sableye that they meant no harm. All three of them were connected right now, they could't really lie to each other.
Rem let out a little whine in the air, before floating down beside of the Sableye, giving the grounded fellow a wave as it started making little sounds and making motions with it's appendages, Rem was introducing himself to the Sableye, and even gave a little bow at the end.

There doesn't seem to be much change to the Sableye's emotions, though the curiosity does slightly flare up as it goes to poke at Rem a few times with one little finger. Curiosity satisfied, the little gremlin moves back, continuing its ceaseless stare. It doesn't seem like you've earned its trust yet - unsurprisingly, after such a short time.

Angela should have expected this, she resisted the urge to sigh and instead looked at Parish's creature. It was raised by a Spark, so that already made it not entirely trustworthy to connect with. It was a shame, she'd only connect with that one in an emergency. Regardless of her desire to connect with it, she restrained herself and kept with Sableye and Rem. She wanted to get to know it after all, and maybe inciting it's partner to answer would make that easier. "Sylvia, I can't help but notice the discrepancy in your Sableye, however did it acquire such a unique coloring?" It may have been a bad time to ask, since Angela had no clue how long their walk would be, but she could always ask again later if they got interrupted.

"Huh?" Sylvia asks, when Angela addresses her. She'd been more intent on making sure no rift exploded than conversation, so it catches her a bit off guard. "Oh, Carbi? If you mean all that flickering and stuff... no idea. She never did that before leaving home, so, I dunno. Fully disappear, yeah, but... not this. I've actually been wondering about that myself. I hope that she's all right."

The tall peaked roofed buildings of the small burg are closely packed, small alleyways occasionally breaking up the solid wall of houses on either side of the narrow street. Most of the structures look ancient, small patches of new material haphazardly attached in places where wood must have rotted or destroyed. All of the high shuttered windows are closed tight, with no light filtering through the narrow cracks in the paint chipped slats. No sound can be heard beyond a strange dull thrumming and scrabbling that escapes from the various tears. The closer you get to the mansion the wider the natural cracks are, from thin enough that you couldn’t shove a piece of paper through by the square to wide enough to stick your hand through near the mansion. Occasionally a gleaming teal eye can be seen peering through the cracks above the street, staring at the group as they pass by.
As you come out of the labyrinthine path through the cities crisscrossing streets you find yourselves in a small plaza with a mostly unrecognizable mosaic, you can see the upper and lower portions of a door of some sort but little else. Several other streets branch off from this location opposite the door of the mansion itself. The edifice seems to lean slightly to the right, almost seeming to be held up by the stone clock tower that borders the right-hand side of the building. Half the buildings face has been covered with thick ivy that covers many of the windows. While the initial impression of the structure would make it seem run down, looking closely signs of care can be seen. Fresh paint and signs of repair are as common as areas with peeling paint or visibly rotting timber, it’s obvious that whoever maintains the place cannot keep up with the sheer amount of upkeep something this old requires.
Above you all the clocktower thrums as the strange energy arcs off of it into the air, large cracks forming thickly around the churning energy. Several squat devices can be seen perched on the roof, connected together by ropes of wires that seem to wreath the broken tiles of the tower. Something that looks like a lightning rod affixed at the peak which seems to be the device at the center of the emanations. Once you are all in the plaza the thick dull red front door swings open ponderously, the hinges screaming. An elderly, white-haired woman pokes her head out a look of extreme distress creasing her gaunt and deeply lined features.
“Oh, Mister Samuel! Do come quick! The young Master has really done it now!”
With that, she scurries inside leaving the door open.

"I'm comin' I'm comin'." A rather annoyed Skit reaches for a sphere at his waist and releases a small duck-like creature....holding what was most definitely a leek.
"Alright you lot. Follow me. I'm goin' to need all the 'elp I can get. Oh and uh...stay close." He says to the group before making his way through the front door.
"And Fritz, if you wouldn't mind terribly, would you go pick up the food from in town while we take care of this? Skit semi-snarkily shouts, quickly making his way toward the lab.

With Carbuncle at her side, Sylvia follows, glad to be inside, away from the rifts (hopefully). Although, it would have been nice to know a little bit more about what was going on. "Help?" she asks Skit, "Help with what, exactly?"

Edgar squares his shoulders, before producing a pokeball with a flick of his wristthat gives the release an odd backwards spin. What forms clinging to his shoulder is an odd plant-like pokemon. It clamps down on Edgar's shoulders with root-like suckers, turning its head to show the glowing yellow eyes deep within the recceses of the shell around it. Small "fronds" wave through the air, extending out curiously to tap against the other mon and people nearby. Edgar gives it a gentle tap on the root. "Allies Mortem, not food or enemies. The mon, Mortem, considers this for a moment before it withdraws its tendrils, continuing to look around with a sort of muted curiosity.
Edgar follows quickly after Skit, the man's haste giving Edgar's own feet extra speed.

When you all enter the foyer it's pretty apparent that the inside of the building is in a similar state of disrepair and feeble attempts at patience. A threadbare Persian rug covers the center of the floor. A wide set of stairs leads up to a landing above. To the right of the stairs, a door that appears to be about to fall off the hinges sits hanging half open, revealing a small dining room beyond. Hallways branch off of the room to the right and left, leading into darkness. A soft chugging noise can be heard drifting down from somewhere upstairs. A small man in a faded and moth-eaten vest and tie stands next to the stairs, he appears to be as old as the woman who had run to the door. This appears to be Fritz as he reacts to Samuel's request.
Fritz looks startled for a moment, glancing up the stairs for a briefly before nodding as he hobbles out the door.
"Very good Mister Samuel, I'm sure you can handle this. I will return as soon as I can."

"Well, I don't know much about what 'e is up to aside from that 'e is tryin' to send things from one place to another. But sometimes things come through, nothing as big as earlier mind you, but still sometimes things come through." Skit tries to mask his concern with annoyance. Confit wraps his wings around Skit's leg and perches on his foot, clearly enjoying the ride. As Skit walks through the doorway to the lab, he quickly looks around assessing the situation. Perception: 6

"What kind of things?" Sylvia asks, "I don't suppose that they're the helpful, non-destructive variety?" she doesn't really expect a positive answer after all that she's seen, but, it doesn't hurt to ask. Hopefully.
It is interesting that this Spark seems to have an interest in teleportation. All of a sudden, the worry hits her, as she realizes that she can do that... and what if she accidentally causes a rift. Quickly, she attempts to clamp down on that feeling, taking steady breaths, lest something bad happen. Well, something else bad.

Lennart follows behind the others, close enough to run to the group for safety, yet far enough so that he won't be one of the first to run into some terror that happens to cross their path to the origin of the tears. He takes note of the released pokemon, feeling relief they seem to be somewhat powerful, albeit strange. This strangeness made the pokemon look interesting and compelling, but now was not the time for studying them. There were more important tasks at hand, such as the much more interesting "Ultra Beast" and surviving the whole fiasco. He thought about releasing Suture to join the squad of pokemon, but decided it would be best to keep him on his belt for now. The last thing he needed for his one guardian to end up separated from him.
"That would be wonderful, but with my luck I'm thinking it's gonna be otherwise" he says responding to Sylvia's hopeful inquiry.
