"No problem, Professor," Jason blinks several times after being blinded by the flash light. "Although a little warning next time wouldn't hurt."
Jason watches in awe as Smink recovers after one of the candies, and he can't but smile at the little guy's puff of smoke. "I don't suppose you sell those things in the gift ship by chance?"

Izzy was refusing help, which ammused Keno, since she had just chided him for the same thing. At the same time, he understood her concerns of catching on her own merrit, and building that initial bond... not that he'd say that out loud.
"Professor, a couple questions before I continue on; if Gypsy would like one of those suckers, may she have one? And, is your number preprogramed into our phones should we need to reach you?"
Keno aknowlages Jason's actions with a knod, expressing non verbaly, 'see you later.'
To John, "It would seem Izzy's got things under control here, and I think there are some Squirtle (OOC: definatly not squirrels) that I think Archinaut would very much like to meet." When he finished speaking, a devilish grin grew on his face.
If there are no objections, it's time to head to the Squirtle chamber!

Keno lead the way untill he and John find themselves back in the room with Corpish and the Squirtles. As much as he wanted to remove the sun stone first, he thought better of it. Izzy seemed rather obstinate twards being helped, but Keno was no dumb enough to believe a hinderance of increased water levels weould please her either.
"The sea horse and the tree spider went marching into battle... I'd like to talk to the Corphish first, if that's alright"
(OOC: are things more or less the same since they were last here?)

"We'll, see what's in the room and go from there. I want to let Gypsy off the leash, and get a good battle in, see what she can do. We may be in for a group of opponents, so I figure water vs water is a level playing field. You might have a leg up, or eight."
Keno pets Gypsy, "you ready for a battle?"

Peyote rushes forward and hits the Taillow hard, while knocking it back. The bird ruffles it's feathers and shakes off the pain before attacking the Bulbasaur with a few kicks of its clawed feet.
Taillow uses Struggle!
Rolled 16 to hit.
AC: 4
Damage if hit: 16
Keno, the professor says to you, "Well, of course my number is on there! You can call me to tell of your progress and to see if there's updates or errata to the Pokedex. I can also evaluate your data and give suggestions on catching certain species, if needed." Looking at the suckers, he says, "Oh, these? This is Smink food, which provides enough calories to feed a Smink for a day. Also, I don't think you want to give this to any other pokemon. This treat contains mashed insects for protein and enough sugars to make anything else diabetic! I don't sell these in the gift shop as it is risky to let humans get it easily!" He offers a few to Jason. "Would you like some for your pokemon?"
Keno and John, you notice the area with the squirtles hasn't changed much other than the Corphish being in another part of the cave. The remaining pokemon are still in a deep sleep. Gypsy lets off a soft snort in response to her trainer.

Izzy eyes Peyote, seeing that he's not overly impressed with that counter-attack, and then she looks at the Taillow. "Well, it would be a rather bad start to our relationship if we knocked you out, wouldn't it?" she whispers softly before shifting her grip on the empty PokéBall in her hand. She nods to Peyote, "Just keep on your toes and try to stay out of its way!" Then she lets the 'Ball fly. Isabella just stares at it for a moment before grinning at Peyote and rushing forward, taking the 'Ball in hand and scanning it with her Dex, wanting to know more about her new friend. (OOC: Commander's Voice to use Swift Action to apply Inspired [+1 Evasion, +2 to Save Checks] Training to Peyote. ( Um... Yeah. I did describe that last bit because I rolled a Nat 20 to hit and -1 to Capture! XD (Do we get the info here, in the OOC thread or via PM when we make a Capture? Also, do you have the 6 Pokémon limit to carry at a time?)

Seeing the Sleeping Squirtles and that the corphish not around John turns to his partner and whispers, "Well want to look for the corphish or go ahead and snag a squirtle, I know i want one."

Keno is a bit crestfallen to find Corphish absent, he had never seen such a pokemon and was hoping to have it join him and learn more about it. Swiveling his head about, he looked to see if the Corphish was hiding somewhere in here or for tracks to see when it may have gone.

Keno was not one to pass up an opportunity, so he puled out a pokeball. Squirtle were rare, so at the worst, he would have a nice tradable pokemon. H e didn't have any connection to the pokemon, and he already had a water type... Turning to John, "we can throw a pokeball at the same time, either we catch them, or we wake them and have ourselves a battle. I'll aim for the smaller one there," he points so they don't just cast pokeballs that bounce off each other.
If John is amiable to the idea

(You'll be notified here with captures. And, yes, up to 6 pokemon can be carried at one time. All others end up in the PC.)
Izzy, you let loose the pokeball, taking the pokemon by surprise as its focus was on Peyote. The ball hits it directly and its body starts to glow into what appears to be a red light. The ball splits open, revealing the mirrors and circuitry inside before sucking in the light and snapping shut. It drops to the floor and bounces a little before the button begins to blink rapidly with a small red light. It begins to shake a few times, letting you know the pokemon is trying hard to get out. After a few shakes, there is a loud "SNAP!" and the ball stops shaking.
Keno, you spot the corphish, hanging around closer to where you last encountered it by the copper sun stone. You spot a very small looking squirtle and toss your pokeball at it. The pokemon disappeared into a flash of light and, left the ball in its place. It blinks rapidly and begins to shake a couple times. After the second time, it begins to crack and then shatter. The pokemon reappears and rolls from the spot. Slowly, it begins to stir and peek out of its shell, drowsily looking to see what was going on.
John, you throw your ball at another squirtle, causing it to disappear into it as well. Your pokeball makes a loud "click" as it starts flashing a symbol that looks like a lockpad with a keyhole. It begins to shake around as well. 1.... 2.... 3 times and then... "SNAP"! You captured a squirtle!"

"You still want that squirtle? or would you rather go find the corphish?" I can help you out a bit if you need, maybe soften it up a bit?" John stated to Keno before looking at Arach [pronounced Eric], "Well we have a friend for you, lets see what else is about, and maybe help our partner here get a friend also."

Knowing where he could find the Corphish, Keno wanted to make quick work here.
He watched at the Squirtle popped out of the pokeball, rousing a bit. No shame in the Pokemon breaking out of it's ball, just means it's strong. There was nothing wrong with Keno's throw. Holding a hand out to John, "I got this, keep an eye on the other one, it could wake up any moment."
"Gypsy, lower it's guard with a tail whip."
Gypsy looked like she was ready for an attack, but as instructed, she began vigorously flipping her tail. Keno proceeded to brandish a second Pokeball, and if this didn't work the little water horse would probably get her wish. Kino thought, 'I'll try one more, then I'll let Gypsy loose.'

Gypsy whips around her tail in a cute fashion while the drowsy Squirtle follows its sparkling visage, lowering its defense by one CS. While distracted, it doesn't react fast enough to the pokeball you throw at it, sending it inside another small prison. The ball blinks and twitches around like the last one. 1.... 2.... 3.... "SNAP"! The ball stops moving, making a successful capture!

As the professor leads Jason out of the cave, he calls to the rest of the party, "Oh, and try to return that crystal to Bailey! She's had trouble all Autumn with keeping it in her shop!"

John nods, but instead throw his second locked pokeball at the sleeping Squirtle, "Jason or Izzy may want a Squirtle too."

The same thing happens as with the other two. In the end, you see three pokeballs, where the squirtles would be.

"Arach" John stated, "Be a champ and use string shot to retrieve those balls for us please."
