Anter Pohl
Anter Pohl is the textbook Raikou familia member. He primarily deals with information brokering from experiences he has had first hand. He frequently is a member of scouting parties and has an uncanny ability to find shortcuts and other hidden features of the dungeon. His lithe physique and slippery abilities make him the perfect scout for upper level dangers. While not a front line fighter, he paves the way for his familia’s understanding of the dungeon and the best ways to overcome it.
When not delving into the depths, he typically can be found at the Raikou familia strategic headquarters. He typically engages in planning for high level raids and gets along well with the upper echelon of the familia. Some of the more standard dungeon divers give him a hard time for being a sneak and a coward, but within the familia it’s in good faith. Outside of the familia, he typically hangs around explorer’s bars trading tips and selling information to hopeful challengers.
Rafe has always looked up to Anter. From a young age, he overheard stories of the scouts narrow escapes and daring adventures. Like most members of the famila, Anter reached out to and supported the families within the familia. Anter is good friends with Rafe’s father and has tried on multiple occasions to get him to come back to the dungeon. He occasionally imparts wisdom, what he calls “freebies”, to Rafe on how the world works and how to make it in the town of gods.
Age: 38
Hana Jadot
Hana is the primary trainer for new Raikou dungeon delvers. While normally warm and welcoming, she can be fierce on new recruits. That being said, she never pushes someone beyond what they are actually capable of doing. Felix’s training days were long and tiresome with Hana, but at the end of the day she would make a meal that would have him coming back for more. Rafe learned not just how to ride quickly and deftly under her tutelage, but also how to use Hasili’s mobility as an offensive advantage.
When it comes to dungeoneering, Hana stays away from the top most levels. She will join middle level parties as a defender, healer, and chef. Her primary task is to make sure long trips inside go with as little of a hitch as possible for transporting supplies and people between the towns within and Dunvos on the outside. She goes on these trips reluctantly to help protect those in her familia, howeer she would much rather stay back in Dunos.
Her gear for training consists of lightweight armor and full medic supplies. If something were to go wrong, she wants to have everything on hand to get others up and running. When Hana decides to accompany others into the dungeon, she brings heavier armor, a large shield, and a mace. She typically takes the role of protecting the supplies and non-combatants, while providing warms meals at night. Many feel safe when she accompanies them, but she sometimes wishes that no one would needlessly go in there just to hurt themselves again.
Age: 40
Belle:
Race: Human
Age: 29 (serious)
Gender: Female
Feats: Fashionista/Skirmisher
Favorite Pokemon: Milotic
Belle’s one of Diancie’s very first Divers, and one of her most loyal ones at that. While Belle is still quite effective in combat with her rapier and quick-step techniques, she’s more prominently known as Diancie’s number one tailor. An expert seamstress that weaves the finest garb for Diancie’s men, and to sell to those looking for a garment that can both survive the dungeon, and still add a hint of flair. She’s a distinct opposite to Noe. She’s poised, proper, and a true noble. She makes sure to maintain a respectful demeanor, and does her best to maintain an air of prestige whenever she is seen, but Noe has a special ability to get her to break that composure with a couple of words.
Noe learned how to use a sword from her, but eventually warped her lessons to work with his cane, and to incorporate dirty tactics into his combat style. While Belle as always detested the way Noe made a mockery of her lessons, she had to at least respect the fact that they were effective. Despite all the headaches Noe has given her, and how many times her throat’s gone hoarse screaming at him for his antics, there is a bond of trust between the two. They have saved each other’s life on more than one occasion, and Belle has learned that despite his childish nature, Noe does genuinely have good intentions. Thus, she is more open minded when he asks her to accompany him on some vague mission. Noe would never admit it, but she has a lot of admiration for Noe. If you ever ask her to talk about it she’ll jab your in a special place in your small intestines, forcing you to stay on the toilet for 24 hours.
Noir:
Race: Cat boi
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Feats: Oracle/Hex Maniac
Favorite Pokemon: Inkay
Noir is Noe’s little brother. The boys are both known for their cheeky antics and prankster qualities, but Noir is a bit darker than his brother. Noir is a self proclaimed Hyper sadist/masochist, and was heavily protested when first applying to Diancie’s familia, but for Noe, it was a package deal. Noir’s abilities are all about cursing and poisoning his opponents, and using his favorite monster Inkay to help manipulate the opponent’s strengths to become weaknesses. His poison attacks are especially concerning. To use them, he will shove a cattail plant down his plant, forcing him to projectile vomit acids and poisons.
However, despite his straight up fucked up hobbies and fighting style, Diancie couldn’t ignore the connections that came from having Noe and Noir in her familia. After all, the two were nobles, and Noir was beloved by other rich families (they seem to find him cute?), so she could make use of his influence. Plus, he was raised in a noble home, and was admittedly rather adorable. Of course, Noe has had to put a lot of effort into keeping his baby brother in line, and Noir was never allowed to go diving unless accompanied by Noe or Belle. But even with these restrictions, Noir is still recognized as a bona fide Diancie familia member. Perhaps the black sheep of the family, but hey, take what you can get.
Jethro Gildas
Immediately upon joining the Latias Familia, Darius began to scout out his competition. The person he found at the top of the ladder was Jethro Gildas. He was a man roughly Darius’ own age, but was much slimmer of build, and “prettier”. He and his wife have been members of the deities’ Familia for over twenty years at this point. Jethro no longer takes part in Dungeon delves, but acts as a logistical coordinator for the Familia and its expeditions. When he did enter the dungeon however, he fought through telekinesis, a skill Darius finds distasteful in an opponent.
He is a friendly man, the first to welcome Darius into the fold, expressing his gladness at having someone his own age around, instead of all the youthful hotheads he normally works with. They frequently share drinks in the evening, which Darius values as a chance to gain information on the man. He is a highly intelligent person, excellent with the strategy his job requires. He is closely tied to Latias, having known her for so long, and she values his counsel highly, hence his position.
In his day, he was one of the top adventurers in the Dungeon. He successfully brought a party to the forty-ninth level, before they were forced to turn back by the floor boss, after suffering heavy casualties. Several pairs of Familia members were split in this attempt, and the surviving members of these couples mostly abandoned their Familia to live as a normal citizens. Jethro still keeps in contact with all of the survivors, as he feels responsible for them. Because of this, he is totally devoted to the safety of the present Familia whenever they attempt dangerous dives, often not sleeping for days on end as he puts everything in order.
Flint Rathlin
Flint is a boy of seventeen years. He is passionately in love with his bonded partner, and fancies himself her knight in shining armour. He comes from a peasant family, and has only been in the Familia for slightly longer than the Devereauxs. When Darius joined, the boy latched onto him, idolizing him as a noble, skilled swordsman, and battle commander. Despite his slight seniority over Darius, the boy acts like his sycophant, practically serving the older man. Flint sees himself as roughly Darius’ squire, learning from a more experienced soldier to develope his own skills. Darius on the other hand couldn’t care less whether the boy learns anything. He’s a useful tool on occasion, and so he is tolerated.
Flint has very little experience in the Dungeon, having only entered the first floor twice. When he does go in, he’s a simple swordsman, fighting with a shortsword and buckler. A lot of the time however he is relegated to chores and errands in the city. He doesn’t mind the work however, as he just assumes it’s a stage everyone has to go through. He’s extremely diligent and earnest, always doing his best at whatever task he’s given, no matter how menial.
Carwyn:
Carwyn loves attention, thriving off of social interaction. Sure he didn't really excel at it, but he certainly loved trying his best at talking with the best of them. Growing up as a Noble he pretty much thrived off of attention, and he's certainly kept that. He's become much of a flirt, more as an attempt to defuse tension than actually meaning his attempts. He tries this with everyone, mostly using it as a gauge to how serious he needs to be around new people. If they aren't open to it, well, it's no skin off his back. He does regret when people actually take him seriously, though admittedly he has no idea what he'll end up doing when he actually does fall for someone. Hopefully he'll know when the time comes, but for now, he'll be a shameless flirt that is all talk and no game. He has a tendency to hang around places lower than his station, mostly because the many people love him, and it is an easy way to avoid his brother. He often spend most of his time with his sister.
Likes: Seafood, Aeronwen, Clothes, Armor, Weapons
Dislikes: Nuts(allergic), Gwyn, Enclosed Spaces, Awkward Silence, Arguments
Aeronwyn:
Aeronwyn is very caring and altruistic, she often treats everyone with kind words, and always tries to understand others. She is the opposite to her brother, in that she hates attention. She prefers to be unnoticed, only liking the spotlight when she knows it’s for something she did, something that helped someone else in some way. Despite her aversion to attention, she adores her brother’s. She worries about his flirting, and is admittedly jealous of when people keep his attention, though that worry has never come to a head. She’s not certain what she would do if she lost Carwyn, and that is her greatest fear.

Xavier Baratheon
Head of the Ho-Oh Familia Security - Age 33
Xavier is loud, flirty, boorish, playful, and a drunkard - not traits that you’d expect from the head of a god’s security. Especially not a perfectionist like Ho-Oh. But despite all of those, he is very serious and damned good at his job -the best at it Ho-Oh’s seen in a long while- and those are more than enough to excuse his flaws in the god’s eyes. Some might even say that he’s an even better strategist and tactician when he’s drunk, as said by soldiers during his normal soldiering days before he had been recruited by Ho-OH and even afterwards by fellow guards.
He is not only in-charge of the overall security, but he is also in-charge of teaching everyone self-defense or even actual fighting for the rare dungeon-delver in the familia. Under his administration, everyone in the family knows how to defend themselves in some manner as he genuinely believes that each and every member has a role to play in the defense of the family. It does help smiths who know their weapons better by learning how to use them better seems to have a good effect on their smithing.
As one of the healers, Raimundo often works closely with this man and with the men under his command. His men are often Raimundo’s escorts to official rescue missions in the occasional botched dungeon-diving, injuries from prevented robberies or its ilk, or the rare mining accidents. Xavier himself has worked with Raimundo from before he had been instated as security head and even after it on high-profile cases. He also befriends all the healers and takes them for rounds of drinks like every other weekend if he can, but Raimundo’s a particular favorite as they’ve been friends from even before they joined the Ho-Oh familia. He brightens up the guy’s day and Raimundo doesn’t mind even if it cramps his usual efficient but elegant style.
Salvador Vega
A Senior Blacksmith of the Ho-Oh Familia - Age 40
Salvador Vega is the large, commanding blacksmith master in charge of the southern sector of the Ho-Oh familia who has a normally quiet demeanor and presence but has a booming voice when necessary. While not Ho-Oh’s most favored of blacksmiths -that person also doubles as their Messiah and right-hand and he didn’t have the time nor the patience for that- he is one of the most experienced smith masters in the current employ of the familia. He keeps a strict, no-nonsense air in the workplace and expects only the best, disciplined behavior from his apprentices, for the forge is no place for tomfoolery - he’d seen many an idiot lose fingers or even hands due to their stupidity. It’s even more unfortunately common when shoeing the likes of horse pokemon.
His works, while simple compared to some of the other smiths and especially the younger ones, have a fine, sturdy make that are unmatched. His weapons and armor are highly desired by soldiers due to their durability and quality as well as their reliability in combat. He tries to instill the same values to his apprentices, to varying degrees of success.
Salvador was one of the first to fully welcome Raimundo into the familia and was the one to take him under his wing as his section’s doctor. As such, Raimundo has always been grateful to the man even if he doesn’t always show it. In fact, he still works mainly in Salvador’s section as their primary doctor when he has the time and he considers Salvador a close friend - close enough that he doesn’t ask for anything when he personally treats the occasional wound on him or the man’s family. Salvador sees him in the same light, even giving Raimundo one of his finer shields to use when attending to the wounded in dangerous areas or when on his own errands - if the man didn’t have the skill to use a weapon, then at least a shield to keep him safe would suffice.
Brutus
While perhaps not the most book-smart of people, Brutus makes up for it with sheer cunning. He knows how people work: how they act, behave, and think. His keen ability to get into the minds of other people lets him counter their actions with relative ease (usually with a swift incapacitating blow). It also serves him well when covering up some of the… messes he makes in his line of work. To this day he hasn’t even been tried for many of the various crimes he simply had to have committed due to sheer lack of physical evidence.
What really took Felix by surprise the most the first time they met was just how stealthy the man could be. Felix doesn’t know how a man of his stature can hide or blend in with a crowd so well, but through a combination of wits and physical capabilities he somehow manages to sneak up on others with ease. Sometimes the poor saps he’s after won’t even get to know what hit them before they go down. If Giratina deems someone fit enough to warrant Brutus’ services, things will being going south for them in quite a hurry.
Felix first “met” Brutus the night before his 18th birthday. Felix was attempting to flee the city, which of course Giratina knew of right away. The god sent Brutus to “retrieve” the young lad. Felix thought for sure he had been careful enough not to be spotted or followed as he attempted to flee. It wasn’t until he finally neared the edge of the city that he even saw the hulking shadow. Furthermore, Felix got the distinct impression that the only reason he did spot the behemoth was because he wanted to be seen. The ensuing pathetic attempt at escaping was short lived. The details of just what exactly are still hazy to Felix, but in an instant Brutus had caught up with him and clubbed him over the head,
Giratina’s presence in the Grand Dungeon has always been a bit lacking. Thus far, he generally just swindled it out of the other deities and their familia using crooked laws, deals, and politics.Still, the other gods had been cracking down on his practices and he realized it was about time he figured a way to get his own share of the pie. Up until now, if business in the Dungeon needed to be done, he would send Brutus. The man was more than capable of leading a small team into even some of the lower levels of the dungeon. However, Giratina much preferred him above ground and his skill set was simply too valuable to take such risky chances on. This is why he needed people like Felix to do the grunt work with little risk of capital should something go south.
Jasper Saul
Jasper Saul is Giratina’s right hand man, and to imply otherwise to him would be suicide. Sneaky, underhanded, and conniving, Jasper would sell out his own mother if it meant gaining an ounce of clout or power. Quite frankly, Felix can’t say for certain that he hadn’t sold out his mother. He is a slender man, slightly on the taller side, and has a greasy mop of dark, slicked back hair. He wears only what he considers the “finest” of clothing, though opinions may vary on that end. His entire image and persona simply oozes sleaze. Despite this, this middle aged gentleman has made his way to the top in several senses and not just in the Giratina familia.
Jasper is a politician and lawyer of simply the worst kind. Ethics simply aren’t a matter of concern for him so long as he technically follow the law as written. He holds a seat on one of the highest governing councils in Dunvos, so sometimes he even gets to help determine how the law is written. How he got to his seat in power is a bit unclear. He certainly wasn’t born into it as the Sauls are far from a noble family. It could certainly have something to do with his silver tongue and ability to weasel out of trouble. He started off as a criminal defense lawyer, taking and somehow winning cases others though were a sure loss. This allowed him to accrue money and favors and eventually caught the eye of Giratina who certainly had a use for a man who could get his familia out of trouble. Enticed by the power of the god, Jasper was quick to accept the offer.
