Fatigued and battle-worn, Samuel gets down on one knee. The three goons show a bit of concern for their boss. But Samuel throws his hands out for them not to intervene. Machamp, battered and blinded, attempts another swing at Tully. He performs a well timed sweep at his opponent's knees. Unfortunately Tully evades the attack once more, but he must be tired after having his senses at his peak for so long. Meanwhile, Samuel moves away from the fight to take a small breaker, taking out a potion to spray the wounds. Machamp Standard: Low Sweep on Tully

Tully just jumps over Machamp's sweep before he catches sight of Samuel hurrying away and getting something out of his bag. His mind, ever focused on survival, quickly comes to the conclusion that he cannot be allowed to heal himself and continue dishing out damage.
He whirls round and darts towards him, knowing that he's opening himself up to a hit by Machamp but hoping he'll still be disoriented enough to miss. Still, he pushes through and rams into him before he can apply the potion.

Seeing the tide turn in the battle, Shanna strolls up and slashes at Machamp. Like Otto before her, she knows that this will open her to a hit, but she's pretty sure she can take one hit from him. Two might be stretching it.
However, if she's been reading the battle right (and she's very good at reading battles), one hit is all she'll need to take.

As Shanna comes in, Machamp latches onto her arm and slams her down in the other direction, away from Tully. He then creeps up behind the enemy, steaming with rage.
The goons have one foot in front of the other, but are unable to take another step as they are too afraid to get in Machamp's way.

Tully smirks as he goes to swing at Machamp with a knife, only to remember that he'd taken out the one he had up his sleeve earlier, causing him to simply swipe his empty hand across Machamps' chest. Comfusing, certainly, but not especially effective.
Shanna, on the other hand, is far more on the ball, despite just taking a massive hit. She runs up next to Machamp and leaps past him, slashing him as she goes.

Machamp's knees buckle, but he continues to stand tall. He takes a breath and charges Tully with a life ending punch using one side of fists.
You hear a popping sound, not knowing if it came from your body or Machamp's fists. You notice Machamp's eyes go hazy as he crashes on the ground. The goons look in shock at what they witnessed.

Tully closes his eyes tight, horrified at the sound. He grabs the area Machamp was going for only to not feel either a fist or any pain. He opens his eyes to see Shanna in front of him, having caught the blow with one of her torso-blades. She turns around slowly and gives Tully a proud nod before falling unconscious, a massive dent in her metal body. Tully nods back to her prone form before returning her and Otto to their balls. He looks up at the three goons. "Now, I know what yer thinkin'. You're thinkin' "Hey, he ain't got no more 'mon, we can just jump him an' earn some kudos from ol' Sleepy Sam over there." And yeah, you could do that or," he holds up a finger, "you could listen to a little proposi tion o' mine. Now, we agreed Winner takes all but you guys didn't interfere when ye easily coulda and I'm thinkin' that deserves a little somethin' by way o' thanks. Now, any points he loses, he's gonna think I've got, so if you took a few each, well, who's gonna know the difference, eh? Go on." He takes a couple of steps away from Samuel's unconscious form and gestures towards him. "Take it, buy yerselves somethin' nice."Tully eyes them. He doesn't know whether they're going to go for it, but it doesn't matter, either they do or they'll get so offended they'll advance on him. Either way, they'll be standing next to each other, which is his real goal. His foot taps on the ground, seemingly idly as he waits for their next move. Tap Tap Tap Ta-Ta-Tap TapCovertly binding 2 AP

The three look at each other perplexed. One of them peers over Samuel's body, but his desired drifted away once one of them spoke up.
"That was an awesome match bro! Sam's had a bit too much fun for today so we have to clean him up before we make it back to the dojo... We were gonna let you stroll outta here, before you opened your stupid mouth. Again!"
The goon that was looming over Samuel reaches into his coat and you see a fat stack of cards. He takes two out and flings it to you. "Nah, we got no time messing with this slimy clown." He tells his mates. "Take that as your prize and get out, if we see you again today we're jumping you right then and there!"
The third one puts Machamp back in his pokeball because it's impossible to carry him. Carrying Samuel, the others brush aside you, but he stops right before the tent to ask, "...Weirdo."
He omitts his thoughts and exits the tent.

Loyalty, eh? Well, good for them.
"Weirdo, maybe. Stupid? No!"
As the three begin to move Samuel away, Tully stamps his foot on the ground hard. Meanwhile, beneath the earth, Xander begins to move. The plan had been simple - he would tunnel beneath them, following the sound of Tully's footsteps (hence why he was making them louder than normal) and wait for the signal - a series of taps that sound like the beat of a certain song* - to get ready to strike. Then, when he hears a loud stomp, to rise up and attack the densest group he could sense. In truth, he was getting worried about the sounds of battle above him, havig almost come to give aid several times. However, he had restrained himself, knowing Tully well enough to realize that, if he was needed, he'd be called. Now, he hears the signal to strike and rises up, catching all three goons in a burst of earth and claws. Smirking, Tully rushes forward before they have a chance to get their bearings and slams his fist into the nearest conscious goon. *One of Tully's favourite songs, actually, not least because its title describes how he feels much of the time.

The ground explodes from underneath their feet! The two carrying Samuel are caught off guard. Unable to protect themselves while carrying dead weight, they take the brunt of the attack and one of them falls unconscious. Not before their quick shrieks of terror are silenced.
The last one, farthest from the exit, jumps back on instinct when attacked by Xander, but he lands right on Tully's fist which knocks him out cold.
The last man standing, due to the fear of the unknown waiting for him outside, hold his ground, puts his trembling fist up, and yells at Xander with watery eyes. "WE DON'T WANT ANYMORE TROUBLE! HE CAN"T FIGHT ANYMORE SO LET US GO!"

Xander steps back for a moment, more out of surprise than fear or respect.
Tully, however, just snorts. "Well, wouldja look at that. Yer all tough and scary when you got the upper hand - when you can hide behind Sammy or gang up, but the moment you're on the defensive, suddenly, you "don't want anymore trouble"." He punches the goon, leaving him reeling. "Sorry, but if you don't want trouble, don't go 'round causin' it. And if ye can't stand the heat," he nods to Samuel, "don't hang round a Magmar. You ain't the innocent victims here. If you were, I wouldn't have come after you. I ain't a monster,"
The instant he finishes the word, Xander gives a light tap to the back of the goon's head, knocking him out cold.
"But I'm no saint, either."
He muses to himself as he squats down and relieves the four of their points-cards. "Still, you was right about one thing. I ain't who I was pretendin' to be. Trouble is, that don't mean the real me is worse."
When he's finished, he strolls out of the tent, significantly richer in points, and goes back to where the kid he talked to was crying.

The four cards total in 28,000 G-Credits and the two cards the goon gave you total to 12,000...
Since this tent was empty, no one was really around to hear the screams. The few trainers that did turned around instantly when they saw you leave.
You reach the place you left the boy at the shopping district. It looks like he's talking to an Officer Jenny wearing an off-color uniform. They have yet to notice you approaching.

Tully hums for a moment. It could just be paranoia, but he doesn't feel like getting involved with the local law.
Thinking for a moment, he takes one of the cards, transfers enough off it so there's 3000 left and writes a quick note.
He then walks quickly by the two, covertly slipping something into the kid's pocket. It's harder than he expects, the kid's more observant than he thought, but he just gets it into his pocket.
He then walks away, singing to himself very quietly.
"...dares you to care for the people on the edge of the night..."

Like a student set on not sitting at the first table, Officer Jenny makes a quick lunchroom scanning glance at you, but then turns her attention towards the boy's case.

Satisfied that he went unnoticed, Tully smiles and keeps walking, not turning back, going to meet Cassie for their agreed-upon rendezvous.

Tully reaches his agreed upon spot only to see Cassie in her spot earlier than expected! Her eyes are locked with a Meowth about two feet across from her. A point card is lying in the middle, drawing the lines of their respective sides sides equally. Cassie also has a stack of cards lying between her legs, but Meowth's attentions lies on the card that's between them.
But that's not all, behind Meowth, a trainer sits on a nearby crate immersed in his phone.

Tully raises an eyebrow at the scene. Thinking for a moment, he shrugs and goes up to the trainer.
"Looks like we had the same idea." He jabs a thumb towards the card in the middle. "Tell ye what, why don't we go check that card, see if it has even enough to be worth fightin' over. We'll both go so neither can try anythin', whaddaya say?"

When Tully gets up close, he notices that this guy is a bit too old to be a trainer doing gym challenges. The trainer looks up from his phone and turns a bit pale at your appearance.
"H-hi there! Is this your Murkrow? I'm starving, so I had Meowth find some of these trainer cards you people use to battle with. I'm not sure how much is on this card either, but this bird took one she had eyes on." He says as he traces a map with his fingers.
"Murkow flew off and we chased after it. Awhile later she just landed... and stayed here, waiting for you I guess. We haven't tried anything since I was curious too. I already have a few cards, but I don't know how many points are in either of them. Could you help me with that? Also... do you need to see the nurse? You're injured."

Tully waves off the concern. "Just a scratch. Anyway, I think I can help you with that." He takes out his card reader. "Just put your cards in here. Don't worry, I'll keep the readout where we both can see it so you know I ain't tryin' anythin'."

The man commands his Meowth to come to his side. Meowth breaks contact with Cassie and jumps to his shoulder. He exchanges cards one at a time and eventually, everything totals up to 8,500 points...
"Wha! that's more than enough to treat me and my pokemon!" With his hand approaching your shoulder, he pleads. "You're a pretty good kid for your age. Would you like something from that concession of pokemon trainers selling cooked food over there? Something made from a Torkoal or Swalot is not something to be passed up!"
