She recalls Ninetales. "Well I guess this is your victory again..." She says as we puts the 5k points into Tully's cards. "Even though I was unlucky, you're kinda strong for a newbie here. Use that 10k you won and battle the stronger trainers that reside up north. I'm sure you can get out of this hell pretty soon compared to everyone else."
The girl turns her back to you. "Well, I have to win back 6,000 credits somehow. I hope we don't meet again, toodles!"

"Likewise." Tully nods as he goes up to Otto and Xander. He leans down and whispers. "But, just 'tween us, I'm not plannin' on goin' up against the big leagues yet. Let's be big fish in a small pond fer a while, huh? Still," he straightens up, "should prob'ly go somewhere else - don't wanna run into her again. That'd just be awkward."
He strolls past Shanna as he goes to another part of the park, talking to he as they walk. "So, that's how we do things. Whaddaya think?"

Strategy and Overwhelming Force. The ability to crash like thunder, or spread our influence like a searing fire!
Shanna eyes burn with passion as she awaits her turn to battle. From her observations, it looks like she synergies well most of her teammates.
-------------------------------------------------- After a walking into a different district, you see a lot less battles going on around you. In contrast, there are a lot more shops and restaurants. Many trainers seem to have formed their own groups to tackle this challenge, buying the necessary gear to win and some look like they're up to no good. You're barraged with people handing out flyers and others finally seem to mind their own business. The scenery reminds you of a back alley, hidden in the big city.
One thing that doesn't fit that picture is a little kid crying his eyes out.

Tully hums to himself as he thinks about what he's seeing, making sure to keep far enough away from the kid that he won't be noticed. He debates himself internally. On the one hand, a little kid crying alone is a hard thing to resist.
On the other hand, that's exactly why they can be dangerous. Kids have a myraid of uses for the less scrupulous side of society - pickpockets, grifters, bait for ambushes and that's all on the lighter side of things.
Most people don't think a child would be capable of such things. And that's the most dangerous thing of all.
Tully, however, knows better. First off, he takes his card, wallet and everything valuable (which, admittedly, is not much) and puts in inside pocket of his coat, which he then zips up - not impossible to pickpocket, but extremely difficult.
He then releases Xander once again and explains the situation. Xander is about to object when Tully leans over and whispers something in his ear. Xander nods, a smile coming to his snout, and darts off round a corner.
Finally, Tully walks up to the kid, his footsteps somewhat heavier than usual. He stops when he reaches him, leaving a few feet between them, and squats down. "Hey there, kiddo. Whassa matter?"

"Th-those guys over there took my card!" He points over to a group of four guys loitering around the shops, laughing to the top of their lungs. "After I lost, they said it wasn't enough for the time they wasted so they took everythingggg!"
Bullying the weaker trainers into submission... It seems someone had the same idea as you yet more extreme.
"Anyone that tries to tell on then will get beaten by that Pokemon. There's nothing I can do!" Upon a further look, there is a Machamp out enjoying the misfit's shenanigan's too.

Tully hums for a moment. The kid could still be trying to trick him and, even if he isn't, it's not his problem... but he's not heartless and, while he is doing something kind of similar, he's trying to only take advantage of those who deserve it. And, what a coincidence, these guys happen to fall into exactly that catagory.
Besides, he does have a plan already uderway to deal with this sort of thing.
"Okay, kid, let's see what we can do 'bout that, huh?"
He gets up and goes off to the side, releasing Otto and Shanna. Not only are they the only two pokemon still in their balls, but they're also both double-weak against fighting - the perfect bully-bait.
He leans down and whispers his plan to them before getting up and walking near the bullies, his footsteps still falling heavily onto the ground.

The group hears your announced walking. Three of them give you a glance and go back to their conversation, but the supposed leader calls you over.
"Hey bro, you got alotta nerve walking around with those kind of pokemon out. What if they accidentally bump into someone? You would owe them a whole lotta points."

Tully stops, not turning to the group yet. "Hey, I'm just walkin' here. Someone bumps inta me, that's their problem. They want points, they're gonna haveta fight for 'em, know what I'm sayin'?"

The leaders makes a broken smile, so aggressive that his canine teeth show. "Hell Yeah!" He stops leaning on the adjacent building and walks out on the pavement. "I was going to get one of my boys to bump into them to show you how much of a hazard they are."
One of the goon raise their eyebrows. "Ummm..."
The leader and Machamp get closer to you as he keeps talking. "But I guess I can make you learn how unsafe it is with a battle. Your call."

So far, so good.
Tully turns around. "Well, if you..." He trails off, acting as if he's just seen the Machamp. He lets a brief hint of (semi-genuine) fear across his face before it changes.
It's time to pull out something that Tully doesn't tend to use, in the interest of self-preservation, but was still well-versed in:
The art of the taunt.
He suddenly bursts out laughing, spending a couple of seconds incoherent before dying down enough to speak, loudly enough that everyone around them can hear.
"Oh, I get it. Wow, ain't you brave. I mean, darin' to take on a coupla dark-types wit' Fightin'. You sure you wanna risk it, with only a double type-advantage? Want me to blindfold 'em or tie their legs together or somethin', make it really your kinda fight?"
His laughter dies down to a few chuckles, waiting for the bully's response - after what he said, the guy can't just attack him without making himself look weak, so he's going to have to say something.

At first, the bully wasn't even concerned about what types he was going against until Tully said something. He just wanted a fight. His arms become ripped with popped veins. "I'm gonna kick your ass man! You come in here knowing ya already on thin ice and you want to stomp the floor further?"
The few trainers in the outskirts of the shopping district gawk as they walk to their destinations. "Well, he was asking for it" "If he loses it's on him!" "Doesn't he know who he's messing with? That's suicide!"
The leader summons his friends to back him up, coning in front of you."A battle won't make you learn, not at all. We're going for a trip!"
Machamp moves up to Tully, giving sharp glares at Otto and Shanna to not interfere as the muscle pushes Tully around and they begin to walk.

Well, that didn't work.
Tully starts walking, holding a palm out to Otto and Shanna to keep their distance and still keeping his footfalls heavy.
"This trip far? Cause if you can only win in one place, it don't say much for ye."

"Quiet" The leader says sharply. You are guided to a deserted tent where they begin. Machamp throws you away and your pokemon follow. "Here's where we'll battle! Not much is gonna change, but now no one can complain if I run up and slap you around!" The goons circle around the tent to prevent Tully and his pokemon from escaping. At the same time the leader introduces himself. "You can call me Samuel and I'm a second degree black belt. I don't care if this fight is unfair or not. I'm giving you a chance to win." Him and Machamp look at each other an chuckle, "I can let you leave if you apologize for acting like someone you're not; maybe eat some grass too while you're at it. That's the extend of my generosity, if you can't take then I'll send you to the hospital!" Samuel: 15 Machamp: 16

Tully hums for a moment. Under normal circumstances, he'd probably take Samuel's offer - a bit of humiliation's a small price for safety, after all. However, there are two things that stop him: firstly, he doesn't believe for a moment that Samuel would keep his word on that, and secondly, he endeavoured never to be in normal circumstances and to always have an ace up his sleeve. Still, gotta remember the old advice - never play an ace if a two will do.
"Winner takes all, huh? Well, I gotta admit, the offer's temptin', but see," he puts both hands on his stomach, "I ate before I came here and I'm just not feelin' hungry. Still, maybe-"He's cut off as Otto leaps from behind him, ramming his fist into the underside of Machamp's jaw - not to hurt him, but to knock him off-balance long enough to turn things around. "Well, guess that settles that!" Tully smiles, locks eyes with Samuel and gestures towards himself in an unmistakable "Bring it!" gesture. Initiatives: Otto: 25 Tully: 12
Otto uses Feint Attack on Machamp Activating Black-Out Strike, Machamp gains an injury and is asleep.

You can hear something snap in the pokemon's jaw. As Machamp falls, he somehow catches himself with calf strength alone. Machamp hovers above the ground and raises back up like someone pulling a string behind his head.
Samuel, tired of Tully's taunts and games, comes charging at him with no openings in his movement. He give a sincere strike to Tully's gut.

Tully grunts but rolls with the punch, rising up for a split second before dipping suddenly down and giving a hard sweep to Samuel's legs, hoping to knock him off-balance. Meanwhile, Otto grimaces - he knows he can take one or, if he's lucky, two hits from Machamp before he's down, but he also knows the best way to win this is to take down Samuel first. So, he whirls around suddenly and strikes at Samuel, giving Tully an opening for another strike. Unfortunately, Otto's own attack misses, but he manages to use the momentum to fling himself away from the combat, hopping away a couple of metres. He looks back and grins mockingly at Machamp, smacking his rear at him a couple of times for good measure - if he's going to be laid out by the hulked-out pokemon, he can at least fake him out, psych him out and tire him out a bit first. He just hopes it doesn't bring out a knockout. Tully: Shift: Use Flutter Standard: Use Payback on Samuel Swift: Spend 1 AP to activate Dirty Fighting and use Low Blow. If successful, Samuel is Vulnerable and has initiative 0 until the end of Tully's next turn.
Otto: Standard: Use Beat Up on Samuel The struggle attack missed, so Otto uses Clever Ruse to gain +4 evasion for 1 full round and disengage 1 metre north-east as a free action. Shift: Move 1 metre south east then 1 metre east.

Machamp steps in to protect his trainer attempting to get up. In a rush, he throws out a left hook with his lower arm and misses by a few inches...

Tully ducks under the blow, keeping low for a moment before comming back up with an uppercut to Samuel. As he does, he smacks him across the eyes, hoping to mess up his vision. "Ooh, wouldja look at that, turns out all the strength in the world ain't no good if you can't hit wit' it!"Shift: Flutter Standard: Assurance on Samuel Swift: Blind manuever on Samuel

Machamp uses his ability Bodyguard and pushes Samuel away from the attack and getting hit in return. His eyes become a bit jumbled, landing Machamp in a daze. The three goons lean further inside the ring in concern for their leader. With Machamp's help, Samuel finally stands up. He locks eyes with Tully, but with one leap, he manages to close the gap between him and Otto, delivering a body rattling punch that Samuel put everything he had in. Not taking his eyes off Otto, he points toward Tully and gives him a thumbs down. Machamp Free Action: Activated Bodyguard ability
Samuel Standard Action: Close Combat

Otto gets knocked back by the impact, not staying conscious long enough to feel the pain. Tully winces, but isn't surprised, both of them knew he wasn't going to last long. Shanna, on the other hand, sees that Samuel opened himself up after that attack. She darts forward, running past him and giving him a glancing blow before stepping back and gesturing at Tully. Tully nods and takes a step inward, between the two foes. Shanna: Shift: Move up to Samuel Standard: Use Slash on Samuel with Pass Keyword, moving past him Swift: Use Rally to let her and Tully Disengage 1 metre
