It would feel kinda silly to bring a Rock pokémon to the fighting gym right? Right! But a Flying one? Now that's reasonable! Go Staraptor!

The last time she had been at this gym she had won trough trickery; maybe she should give overwhelming force a chance! Jane orders Focused Training and Dazzling Dervish! "Birdy-bird: Brave Bird!"Staraptor swaps his held item for his Flying Gem and uses Brave Bird! 4NhAjCeh1d20+2 vs AC 2; ignoring Accuracy penalties or non-stat Evasion bonuses
But sadly the majestic bird soars past the butterfly

"Bella, put it to sleep." Raven calls out. Her Butterfree sends a cascade of light green powder floating towards Staraptor.

The Sleep Powder barely tags the poor bird, but that is enough! It snoozes happily on the arena floor. Jane frowns and bites her tongue. No this certainly hadn't started well. But she could afford to give the poor avian one round to recover (while probably having his dreams eaten or watching dancing butterflies!).

Butterfree takes the extra time to set up a Tailwind for future allies.
All allies gain +5 to their Init for the rest of the Encounter.

It's awake! It's awake!! (Also confused...) Jane issues a Focused + Dazzling Dervish order! Staraptor tries Brave Bird again. LtNt5Dsr1d20+2 vs AC 2
Which might be enough to actually hit ... (As Staraptor ignores non stat evasion thanks to Keen Eye!)
4d10+57 Flying Physical damage and Butterfree is pushed 2m back!
Staraptor takes recoil damage equal to 1/3 dealt + half his attack from confusion.
Regardless or not if it hits Butterfree has -3 on all rolls until the end of its next turn. (Dazzling Dervish)
Staraptor uses his Swift Action to swap to his Fighting Plate just in case.
Edit: 1d20 Save check?

Seeing a vicious electric rodent pop out after the butterfly Jane uses her turn to swap into Ana the Serperior and bind Capricious Whirl!

Alas, the Blimp runs back to Jane before Natalie the Pikachu can get a shot off. Raven quickly calls Natalie back, and sends out Karen the Vileplume.
Vileplume begins to chant softly, and a golden aura appears around it.
Karen used Lucky Chant! Karen's team can now block critical hits!

"Oh all right! We'll take your fighting poison/grass type on!" Jane cheered at Ana while (not so) subtly poking fun at the gym procedures. Focused Orders! Ana the Serperior slithers up to the tiny plump and towers over it in all her majesty. Surely it would not dare stand against her challenge? RIGHT?! She fixed the vileplume with a freezing glare! Swift action - Ana issued a Regal Challenge! Vileplume gets to pick one: Deference: loses its next shift action and 3 CS of sp.Atk Defiance: Ana gets +10 on all damage rolls Standard action - Ana used Glare [dice=1d20+2] vs Speed Evasion; on hit Paralyzes A hit triggers Trickster: Terrorize Lq|1W6Px6d6+1 vs Vileplumes Focus/Intimidate. If Ana wins Vileplume can only use At-Will moves for one round and loses all temporary hp
