"That works for me!" Jane nods and then quickly heads out to run her errands.

Anger. That is the primary emotion she felt when being offered a smelly, no good bird in replace of the Golett she was seeking. How dare they! How dare they! GRAAAAAAAH!! She nearly gets herself booted from the Pokémon Center after she starts screaming at the PC. If the nurse hadn't already have known her then it might have been a bit worse. Bah. Anyways. It wasn't like it could be helped.
She tries again on a different site far away from the old one. This time she would get the mon she needed!
Trading a Level 35 Bastiodon for a Golett, stressing that Bastiodons are rare, prehistoric Pokémon who aren't easily found in the wild in deep caves or anything like that! Get your Bastiodon here, and NOOW. NO BIRDS. hHY7b64Z5d6+15d6+1

This time, someone makes a proper offer of a Golett. It is (same level as bastiodon) Timid, Genderless, with Klutz and Hustle.

With this done, Salena makes her way back to the rest of the group. Such an exciting little time! Ehehe! Now she had some new friends, oh yes. They were going to need some training, but she was out of time. Now she had to get to Saffron with the others!
---
And lo, she did arrive in Saffron, but without much clue where the others had disappeared off to. She had gotten a few battles in for now, but it seems like everyone was pretty well gone. Well. Not much to be done about that. She sends back Sir Stalwart to the PC and withdraws the Sykata. Eeh. Just holding it's Pokéball made her nervous. She makes her way down to the Gym and waits for the others to arrive.

Sykata's Pokeball seems to tremble ominously in Salena's hand... or was that just her (extremely) overactive imagination coupled with nerves? Well, it didn't happen again, so it was probably just nerves...right? Well, either way, Raven shows up shortly thereafter, a revitalized Natalie happily perched on her shoulder. Once Jane shows up, Raven tells the others that D'Mara is meeting them at a coffee shop nearby. Ostensibly, this is to put them at ease: meeting in a public place with many potential witnesses should something go awry; yet Raven can't help but feel like it wouldn't matter where they met. D'Mara is a member of the Elite Four, and could likely quite easily convince people of any story she deigned to make up if she felt like doing away with the group of teens. Regardless of any misgivings she may have about this meeting, Raven leads the group to the coffee shop in question. If any of the three girls expected D'Mara to be either swamped by the press or creeping everyone out with her mere presence, they are disappointed. Instead, she looks like an average, well-dressed woman in her mid-to-late 20s. (See picture below, but imagine her with black hair and dark green eyes.)

Well Jane's errands didn't actually take two hours. She only had to purchase some supplies and put the finishing touches on her latest project. But that just meant she could slip in a few battles! And then use the winnings to buy more supplies and stuff for her project. Perfect! So she was in really good mood as she joined up with the other two. Especially since she personally didn't have any weird dangerous pokémons lurking about nor stalking elite four members. "Hiya! Let's go and hope she's buying! And knows a bit about Spiritombs and other weird pokés that she's willing to share."

"Members of the Elite Four are there to protect us where the Gym Leaders can't right? I don't think we have too much to worry about; it's just probably a little meeting because she's curious."Salena says in reply to Raven's concerns, the young witch's naiveté showing at full force. She... Well. She didn't know the first thing about the Elite Four. Crazy, right? They are such a big, important group and she really didn't know the first thing about them. She's only really heard of D'Mara because she's such an important Dark Type trainer, and even that was from small snippets on the occult, dark webby parts of internet.
But she was intrigued. It wasn't every day they met a celebrity. Perhaps she should be wearing some a bit more formal? Definitely not the witching outfit; that would a bit too weird. Well, she did have her Dread Skitty t-shirt. Ah yeah. Best band. That would be sure impress. Her face wore an easy grin as she listened to Jane. "Y-yeah. I spent a loooot of my money on supplies. But, if she's not paying; I'll probably be able to cover your tab if you need me to. I still owe you for that water!"
Before long though, they arrive at the coffee house. Mr. Kitty, who had been hanging out quietly in Salena's bag knocks herself out and stretches. Ok! Time to find this lady. Her eyes glance across the room. Ooh. Perhaps it was that old lady in the corner? That was D'Mara, right? Yeah. Had to be someone old like that. Those were the best trainers; the ones who have worked with their Pokémon for years and-
"Puurrrrrr!" The cat whips her tail excitedly, her eyes going wide. Oh! That! That is a trainer! She clambers up to Salena's shoulder and gives her trainer a firm head bop in the right direction. If Mr. Kitty's acting like this then... Oh. Oh!
"Ah... Are you ah... D'Mara?" She asks uncertainly, walking up to the coffee table where the plain clothed woman sits.

The woman glances up from her book as you approach. Mr. Kitty is startled by the sudden appearance of a set of blood-red eyes from beneath the table and quickly curls around Salena's neck (whether to make himself a smaller target or to protect Salena, only Mr. Kitty knows).
"Yes. I am she. You three are Salena Wicke, Jane Woodson, and Raven Minori; correct?" When you all either acknowledge your identities or stand there looking flabbergasted, she smirks. "Yes. I thought as much. Do sit down. Would you care for anything? Drinks? Pastries? They have a lovely coffee cake here, so I've heard."
As you all sit down, and Raven opens her mouth to lay into the woman before you, D'Mara merely holds up a finger as she takes a long sip from her drink. She then turns her piercing emerald gaze upon you and smiles again, causing a chill to run down your spine.
"To answer your question, Ms. Minori, I wanted to keep our correspondence private. Thus why I didn't contact you via your Pokedex. However, I do apologize for any intrusion of privacy, whether real or imagined garnered by contacting your private number."
Raven shuts her mouth and merely glowers at D'Mara.

A-ah. This woman was scary. There was no doubt about it, D'Mara definitely has a presence. It really was no wonder why Mr. Kitty was able to spot her so easily. She already had a sort of second sense about these sort of things, plus D'Mara was renowned for her mastery of Dark-Types. On her shoulder, Salena could feel tiny sharp claws digging into her shirt as a purple tail curled around her neck like a furry necklace. Mr. Kitty was definitely a bit spooked. It was kind of weird actually. When she thinks about it, Salena considers herself to be an image of the more tricksy aspect of Ghost hood. When she looked at D'Mara, she could tell exactly what part of Dark-Types she embodied. Terror. Secrecy. She begins to understand why Ghosts and Dark Types tend not mix as well as one might expect.
"I'll ah... I'll probably just stick a green tea." Chuckles Salena nervously. "My mom never let me drink coffee. Too much caffeine."
Meanwhile, the cats eyes dance about nervously, one eye always tracking the table, while the other is planning potential escape routes in her head. The window? Yes, but it's loud. Bright streets. Danger. Need a dark place. They flick backwards to the countertops. There! Purrfect. Darkness, gleaming bottles, little door to the back. She could hide amongst the shelves. That is safe. But then Salena would be left behind. Why is she sitting here? Does she really not know how dangerous this is! Bah!
The yellow eyes of the cat flick upon the rat. Surely that one would have seen them too, right? And yet she remains. Hiss! Yellow rat. If you could yet remain, then purrhaps she must as well. Be stoic Mr. Kitty. Be stoic!

"That cake sounds good. And some hot chocolate - it's a bit chilly today." Jane noted, absorbing some of the ambient anxiety (and that gaze!). Welp. If she's going to eat us or something at least she can feed us first! she thought to herself drawing courage from the whimsical if somewhat dark thought. With a tiny shiver she went back to her earlier content self. "So! What would an Elite Four member want with us three? I can hazard a guess - but just to be sure ..."
In fact she could muster many many guesses but the Sykata felt most likely. Or hopefully the Spiritomb. Just to have something to do with her hands she released Nie from her ball and started half petting half warming her hands in the fluff. At least the Whimsicott wasn't very nervous - her mind already plotting some way of obtaining more then her fair share of that cake no doubt.

D'Mara flags down a waitress and places the orders. They arrive in short order. "Well, first things first: Gym Leader Satori contacted me about an Odd Keystone that you found. You wanted it kept safe so it would not steal away innocent souls. That was very smart of you. Spiritomb are quite difficult to control if you don't know what you're doing. It is still a powerful Pokemon, however, and I would be remiss if I didn't offer to return it to you."
When your expression changes to one of incredulity, she smirks again. "Don't look so surprised, girls. Dark-Type Pokemon are my specialty." She places a poke ball on the table. "This is your Spiritomb. Don't worry, it will obey you if you choose to use it. I've made sure of it. No need to worry about soul-stealing either. Once it's completely manifested, Spiritomb has no need for additional souls."

Salena hesitantly reached forward and took the Pokéball in her hands. One hundred and eight souls sitting in the palm of her hand. It was a heavy weight and Salena didn't dare ask about where the other souls came from. Some things she would prefer not to know. "Thanks. I'll make sure to take care of it. I was kinda hoping I might find some other way to cause it to manifest, but at the same time, this is probably just as well. At least now those imprisoned in the stone are of sort given some sort of afterlife-life." She nods her head slowly. "No Pokémon is truly immortal, and eventually even Ghost Pokémon fade away. So, there would still be hope for those souls contained in the Spiritomb finding rest eventually. But for now, at they at can least continue to exist on their own weird way."
Salena smirks kindly with a hint of bloodlust in her eyes. "Besides. Before we realized the stone was actively taking souls yet, we ran into some angry Xatu. So, if there any Pokémon who should have seen it coming, it would have been them I guess." Neehehehehe. Dirty birds. Enjoy your life of torment!

Spiritomb is Female, lvl 19, Hardy, with Pressure.
D'Mara shakes her head. "Spiritomb can only manifest when there are 108 souls within the Keystone. That's just how it works. Now, for the other reason I asked to meet with you. You recently were exploring the darkest depths of Rock Tunnel, correct? Did you, by chance, come across something that looked like a large Sableye? A simple yes or no will suffice. Best not to let it loose here."

Jane watches the Spiritomb exchange without a word. She hadn't expected it to go so fast! Or actually at all for that matter. Lavender looks happy so that's nice.
And then there was this follow-up question. Oh okay then! She stuffed a decent chunk of the cake in her mouth to avoid answering for a short while (and do actually get a taste before Nie ate it all). Buuut that was probably just as telling as talking so she added a brief nod and waited to see how D'mara would take that information.

"Yes." Salena replies. "We ran into something that we've never seen before. Five actually. And then... Something even a bit bigger.

D'Mara nods. "Hmm. I thought as much. I'd heard rumors about it from Pokemon Rangers who were in the area, but strangely enough I could never get them to reveal themselves to me when I went down there. I assume you captured one. Why wouldn't you, after all? Would you mind if I borrowed it for awhile? I want to study it up close to see what I can learn about it."
As you are talking, whatever was underneath the table decides to come out. It turns out to be an Absol, though with red features instead of black. It yawns and stretches before sitting down next to D'Mara and just....watching. Natalie and Mr. Kitty can't help but take notice of it, though the Pikachu seems less skittish than the Purrloin, which is just odd.

"I... I think I would be ok with that." Salena says as she takes the Sykata's ball from her belt and lays it gently upon the table. "It's fiendishly strong, but I don't think you'll have any problems getting to know it like I would. I... I know Ghosts pretty well, but this one, this one kind of confuses me a bit. I never knew a Pokémon such as this even existed before now.

"I'm not surprised. I'd only heard rumors of such creatures before today." She takes the ball. "Thank you, Ms. Wicke. I shall return it to you when I am finished with it. While we're here, did anyone have any additional questions for me? If not, I shall take my leave."

"No... I ah, think I'm good." Salena says, rubbing her hands nervously on pants. She actually had a lot of questions; mostly about the kind of trainer she was, what she studied, what she did as a member of the Elite Four, how she came to like Dark Types... But, she didn't really want to waste an important person's time like that. "T-thank you for taking the time to meet with us, Miss. D'Mara. Both you, and your pretty Absol were interesting."
She winces. Mr. Kitty did not like hearing compliments given to other Pokémon. The cat, once overcome by fear allows a familiar haughtiness to flow through her. Why! She was interesting too! She was a good kitty! A GOOD KITTY!!

"Yes thank you for your time!" Jane grins. She was glad that the Spiritomb issue had been resolved. And for the free cake. But mostly, right now, for the opportunity to not stick around D'mara any longer then necessary. It hadn't been so bad at the start, but this creeping feeling of unease was really getting to her.
