"If you say so!" Jane replies, sounding only moderately convinced. 'Stoned'? That was an odd thing to worry about. Anyhow! They had more important things on their mind really. With a glance towards the pokécenter Jane changes subject. "I think I saw Raven just a moment ago. Let's wait for her to come back so we can stove away the Keystone. Then we could finish up exploring the Rock Tunnel. I'm anxious to see what's at the bottom!"

"I ah... Don't think that's possible today." Salena replies bashfully. "I got myself scheduled to work with the Celadon City Gym Leader today. I'm going to be working with on my form for the next few days and try to pick up a few new tricks for battle."
A small, tense smile crosses her lips. "I'm ah... Hoping it relieves some of the tension about these last few days. She seems really cool, so I'm hoping I can learn a lot. Maybe you could stop by as well some time?"

"Oh okay. Let's at least dump the keystone before you leave though..." Jane says, mostly to reassure herself. She didn't want to cause any more unforeseen soulstealing in a while!

Saying thus, she followed Raven to the Gym. Hopefully this wouldn't be too much of a bother for their leader. Which, ooh! Who was this person anyways? This could be interesting. And fun!

As you enter the Saffron Gym/Dojo, many of the Gym Trainers greet Raven by name; as if they know her personally. This seems to annoy Raven more than anything. She pesters one of them until they agree to take them to see the Leader. Once in the Gym Leader's office, the Leader seems surprisingly happy to see Raven (much to the teen's dismay).
Gym Leader: "Raven! Here I thought you swore the only time you'd return here is to acquire your Iron Fist Badge. It's good to see you."
It is only after she has wrapped a reluctant Raven in a hug that she notices Salena and Jane standing there awkwardly.
Gym Leader: "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't see you two back there. My apologies. My name is Satori, and I am the Leader of the Saffron Gym. Since I'm sure you were wondering..."
Raven: "Please don't say it.."
Satori: "...Raven is my little sister!"
Raven: Exasperated sigh. "Great..."
Satori: Turns to Raven. "What? It's not like they couldn't have figured it out by the way I greeted you. Besides, what's wrong with being related to a Gym Leader?"
Raven: "So many things that I'd rather not get into just now. These are my traveling companions, Salena and Jane. We need your help in disposing of an Odd Keystone."
Satori: "Oh." Looks to Salena/Jane for further explanation.

We don't get any hugs? rushed trough Janes brain really quick before she realized - Oh okay that explains it! Still though ... Ahem anyhow! "Well safe-keeping at least. It doesn't feel good to carry it around and can't really mail it home to Sinnoh either ... We tried the pokémon-tower, figured they might know a thing or two, but that didn't work out. So maybe hiding it somewhere desolate? But then someone clueless might just stumble upon it which is really how it all started anyhow ... *Ahem* So Raven suggested that a gym-leader might be able to keep it somewhere safe?"

Salena was not put off by the lack of hugs. She was a little, at the mention of family. This was an unexpected twist. She didn't know why, but it was a little uncomfortable for her. Is this what it was like to have a sister? There was no time to dwell on this. As soon as Jane finished speaking, Salena interjected.
"At least... Until we find something to do with it." Salena adds hastily. "We... There are some souls trapped in there because of ou- my mistake. I don't really know how but, I want try to get them safely, without having to manifest Spiritomb."

Satori hmmms. "Well, I can certainly find someplace to store it for you, but it may be safer to try and get a hold of one of the League's resident occult experts. Two of the Elite Four are extremely knowledgeable about such things, and may even know of a way to release whatever souls are trapped inside of it. Elite Four D'Mara is also an expert on Dark-Type Pokemon, so I'll see if I can get in touch with her. It may take some time, so for now why don't you leave the Keystone with me, and I'll call you when things are about to go down so you can have your say in it."

"Oh! I might have actually heard of her!" Salena says in a rare burst of excitement. To be truthful, she didn't know a whole lot about her. But she did know of her and that itself was most certainly cause for excitement. Besides, it wasn't every day that someone could have the chance to meet a member of the Elite Four. Such a prospect was simply marvelous!

"That sounds good!" Jane nodded. Why didn't they simply think of this to start with? Well, we didn't really know any gym leaders to ask ... Anyhow! This had been a productive morning so far - and she had even learned a bit more about Raven (and her feelings towards gym-relation. That was at least a bit interesting!). Maybe she should just relax for the rest of the day ... Maybe.

During the meeting with Raven's sister Jane took the opportunity to look around as much as she could. This wasn't all how how her mental image of 'Saffron Gym' was. Then again, the Psychic gym hadn't been here in a long time. Still though - it felt odd to actually see it with her own eyes. It was as if someone would have replaced the Valley Windworks with a school or something. Just a little bit odd! she concluded.
When they were outside again she asked Lavender and Raven. "When do you guys have a day free so we can finish our Rock Tunnel expedition? I'm thinking of heading towards Pewter to check out the Museum and train a bit in the meanwhile."

...A few hours later, Salena arrives at the Celadon City Gym. Exciting! The day is mostly spent getting to know the other members of Gym and a personal assessment of her own skills. Or, lack there of. Not surprisingly, Salena does not make a natural ninja. But, perhaps one could see potential. There was a lot of silly knowledge banging about that head of hers that could be better suited for other tasks. Like grooming for instance. Personal, or otherwise. Mom didn't really teach her that much about makeup or clothes and she only knew vaguely how to take care of a Pokémon. She learned a little of both skills; how to put on a new set of clothes in five seconds flat, and how to better take care of her Pokémon were the first subjects for the day. It kept busy, and unable to do any real research. But she could definitely feel herself improving. Retraining out Medical Edu and Medic Training for Pokémon Education and Grooming. Applied a level. |

All right! Munchlax was caught! Jane took a moment to relax before heading over to fuzz with Sam. The Mawile wasn't seriously hurt - only her pride after being pushed around. Luckily that wasn't so tough to heal. While she groomed and encouraged her small pokémon she looked around for a place to sit down. She might as well take this time to do a proper inventory of her pack, seeing as there was clearly *something* inside that kept attracting pokémon ...

Some loose berries! Oh well that was quickly fixed. After stuffing them into the berry jar Jane considered what to do next. She was tempted to copy Raven's plan - fighting wouldn't mean so many type disadvantages after all - but she also wanted to visit the Pewter museum. Maybe if she trained on the road there she'd manage both? Worth a shot! She grabbed her bag and Sam and headed towards the Digglet tunnel humming a cheerful tune. Let's see what today had in store!

"When did I even get these?!" Salena cries in distress, staring at the three strange and occult teeth that had somehow found their way to her bag. The incense was easy to explain. The evolution stones were probably just hold outs from Jane that got misplaced. But teeth?
Her eyes shoot daggers towards the jacuzzi. "Ok, which one of you guys did this?!"

All of the other Celadon Gym Trainers claim innocence. If it were Nalkeya, she'd probably take credit for it, so can't be her. Guess they just wormed their way in there on their own.
