Layl blinks at the two shards, not entirely sure if she found them through luck or skill, only time would tell. She walked over to Iris, handing her the dowsing rod and the shards, she didn't have a use for them yet, so she gave them to the girl who had the equipment for it. "Here you go Iris, now let's get back up there so we can get started on our next catch" Layl didn't give time for an answer as she started to the rope, climbing up it once she reached it.

"Oh!" was about all Iris managed to get out before Layl started to climb the rope, "Oh..." She was going to tell Layl she had done well and that she could keep the shards but... guess not... Blinking a little in surprise but recovering quickly all the same, Iris stowed away the equipment and started climbing back up herself.
<Well... maybe I guessed wrong?> Iris wondered as she climbed up, <Does she just feel like I bothered her then?>. By the time Iris clambered over the edge, she still hadn't figured out the answer. Without much of anything else to add, she just stood by quietly and watched as the others went about their business.

Layl reached the top, looking over to the next place she was planning on heading. She walked over to the other rope, taking it and heading over to tie it down in front of the den with a hive in it. She tied that in place while she waited for Iris to reach the top, giving the girl a thumbs up when she reached the top and quickly moving over to take the rope. "Alright, I'm heading down to try and see the new one, Shossk, you mind having Calt watch out for me?" Layl again didn't really give time for an answer before she started climbing down, she tried her best to be quiet as she slid down the rope, not wanting the bugs to find out about her, at least not yet. Stealth:9 She touched down on the ground and immediately tried her best to remain stealthy while tying the other rope. Stealth:9 She wasn't sure how stealthy she was but she ended up making it down to the den she wanted. Layl layed her eyes on the target, deciding that speed was probably an important factor here and immediately tossed the ball when she successfully made it to the ground. Layl gathered up all the gear she had thrown around the area, returning Nacht to his ball before she started. This wasn't quite a disaster, but it certainly wasn't the best result. If she had remembered about her partners she would have had an easier time, getting used to their presence was going to take some time, after all, no reason to beat herself up about it. After gathering all her stuff together, she gave Mr. Turtle a pet on the head "Thanks for your help, I'm gonna have to put you back in the ball so we can get back up though" Layl gave him a moment to respond before she returned him to his ball. She turned to the rope, with a little bit of apprehension, if she messed up she would have to deal with the insects just up this rope. Layl took a nervous gulp before grabbing the rope and beginning her trek upwards. Stealth:20 Layl deftly climbed the rope, barely leaving a sound up the first one. So far, so good, she just had to make sure she didn't wake them on her way out, she;d be defenseless then. She untied the rope and stored it in her pack before moving on to the next rope. Stealth:12 She made some sound, but she thought she was alright as she began climbing back to the top.

Mr. Turtle claps his flipper hands as he beams at Layl's compliment, he then waves as she returns him to the Pokeball.
As Layl reaches the first nest she can hear the buzzing inside the hive has increased from her descending trip but no Pokemon appear from inside. She manages to make it back to the top of the cliff safety without further agitating the mystery creatures.

Iris had since sat down and begun involuntarily dozing off. She was so close to sleeping despite her attempts to stay awake. Never mind that it might have been way too early to start sleeping, she had a long, tiring day. As such, she was not aware of Layl's return, and her head could be seen in a seemingly never ending pattern of falling to one side before jerking back up before repeating it all over again.

Shossk offers a gloved hand to help Layl up, eyeing her from head to toe. "Yyou are hurt, but that you return means you were ssuccessful, yes? I can offer some medicine if you have none of yyour own."

Layl let out a sigh as she took Shossk's hand, Getting to her feet before shaking her head no. "I have my own..I just don't trust myself to apply it" Everyone had seen her last attempt, after all. She walked over a bit to make sure she couldn't accidentally fall off before she dug out a potion from her bag. "I...just spray a wound, right?" She held it out to a wound, but then nervously looked up to everyone to see if that was right?

"Iff that is how you were healed before, that would be correct."
As Layl is tending to her wounds, Shossk turns to the other trainers. "I wwould advise we enact our plan now. Spending mmore resources before we make contact with the group below wwould not be ideal. Are we ready?"

Layl applies potions to herself, and releases Peafoul from her ball. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Layl" She let's the bird respond before she holds up a potion. "You mind letting me heal you? I should also give you a name...how about...Fantasia?" It was certainly a better name than Mr. Turtle, Layl still felt bad about naming him that...but she really didn't know what to name it.

Fantasia glared at Layl haughtily before preening herself and sitting down in a soft pile of foliage.

Layl stares at it, unimpressed before spraying it with a potion where it was obviously hurt. They all needed to be in good condition for the plan. After applying until Fantasia was healed, however much that would take. She turned to Shossk. "We should be good to go now, I've healed up what I could" She shook an empty potion bottle to emphasize that, before placing it inside one of her pouches, it was bad to litter, after all.

Shossk nods at Layl, then blinks at the other two trainers. He tilts his head fractionally with a thought, then releases his captured Prismavian. He would need to acquire its cooperation sooner or later regardless.

*Krooooo!*
The released Prismavian looks around quizzically, obviously confused by its sudden change of surroundings. The lightning flashes from within its gaseous feathers lighting up the area as if a lantern had been lit. It cocks its head and gives Shossk a sideways glance, studying him intensely.

Shossk's eyes reflexively squint at the Prismavian's gross incandescence.
"I havve captured you," Shossk says, parroting his statement to the Floappull before. "If I tend to your nneeds, will you cooperate with us? We require your wings to desscend to the island below."

Witnessing everyone else (excluding Iris) send out and attempt to bond with their newly acquired creatures, Yoko looks over the sphere containing her own newest companion. It probably would be a good idea to do that now, she thinks to herself, and she apprehensively sends out her Vivorin.

Iris, as she had not mastered the art of sleeping while sitting, had by now fallen to the ground and was just outright snoozing away. Although, she wasn't snoring away. Iris did not make noise while she slept aside from light breathing. By chance, her fall had somehow triggered Light's Pokeball, lazering out the Zorua. Deciding to curl up by her trainer's side, Light watched the proceedings of the other humans and their new friends. She was a little jealous, but she would endure it and be patient. After all, it was in her disposition as an easily trained starter.

Layl stared at Iris wondering if she had forgotten the plan or had the sleeping schedule of a young child. Either way she needed to toughen up, they were about to ambush the enemy. Sadly Layl didn't have any sweets or caffeinated products on her so she had nothing to help with the sleepiness that was afflicting Iris. Layl was tired too, but she could certainly put it to the side for what they needed to do. "It seems we have a snoozer, we going to do anything about that?"

In Iris's defense, she wasn't expected to do anything for a while. Boredom was great at encouraging that it's okay to sit down, it's okay to think with your eyes closed, it's okay to drift in an and out so long as you're still there enough to snap out of it, and then oh dear. Now she was on the ground and fully asleep like right now, but that was okay, too. She had been bored, so that meant she wasn't expected to do anything for a while. Might as well get some shut eye now. What harm could come from a nap anyways. Certainly not waking up twice as sleepy and extremely groggy. Nope. Not at all.
