Shossks innards feel as though they drop, marginally.
"Would you alllow me to send a message to them if I pass one of yourr tests?"

The AL image again switches to a variant that looks contemplative. "Hmmmmm... You know what sure. If your group manages to defeat another in the first Zone you all choose I'll let your prize be sending a message. It'll have to be something physical, I won't be able to hook up a link or noth'in." The image switches back to a smirking version.

Layl walks over and pats the Lizardman on the middle back, it's all she could reach, after all. She gives him a wry smile, trying to give him comfort. "Here's what I do, I just think it really hard in my heart, and hope it reaches them, all hearts are connected so if I feel it strong enough some part of theirs can feel it, too... I know that sounds sappy, but it's true. All hearts are linked together because of Kingdom Hearts" It's then she realizes she's assuming he's hurt by the fact he can't message him...but she's already said her spiel so it's kind of too late. Layl scratches the back of her head, embarrassed by her outburst.
Nacht yipped behind Shossk, as if agreeing with Layl, that everything will be alright if you just believe it will. Or maybe it was just happy, Layl couldn't tell, but she hoped it was him supporting her.

The feeling of sinking innards rebounds the opposite direction. Elation would likely be that opposite, and is fitting. He gives the terminal a quick nod, content to finally having a clear goal to pursue.
Then Layl tries to give her support, speaking of the Kingdom Hearts. He looks at her with that placid stare for a moment, considering. "II do not know if what you ssay is true, but it iss of no use to me. I amm lizardfolk. We do not feel as stronngly as you. I would nnot be able to benefit fromm this entity."
"I havve found my path. Deffeating another group such as ourss will grant me a message to ssend to my companions."

Shossk turns his head marginally to acknowledge Layl as she exits the 'field' room. "The final rrooms are being explored. We are insspecting these pedestals. I cannot read them."His head snaps over to the 'hot spring' room door as it opens and produces a refreshed Yoko and her remoraid. He looks at her, then to the door, then turns back to stare at her. "I had jusst checked that room a momennt ago. You were not inside."The dartrix nods vigorously, having seen the empty room with his own eyes. At that, Yoko's head started ringing alarm bells. The lizardman had gone to check on her, and she wasn't there? But she was! She had been in there for several minutes! Yoko opened her mouth to explain, but held her voice when she realised that if she did explain then she would basically be telling the others that she had taken a bath while they were all busy investigating. Figuring that it would be better to not say anything on the matter, Yoko closed her mouth and kept quiet, leaving the others to try and figure it out themselves. Yoko quietly listened to what Layl had to say, nodding along in agreement at the weird room shenanigans part. Iris' explanation of the rooms was a little surreal for Yoko to believe, but after hearing what Shossk had said, it made some sense.
When Iris asked if any of them had this AL currency, Yoko answered with a shake of her head and a short "no". Then one by one the others each started explaining the rooms they had discovered, and Yoko quietly listened to each of them in turn before then sharing what she had discovered. "The room I just came from has an onsen - ah, that means hot spring, for those unfamiliar with the word - and that room over there with the arm symbol is a workout room filled with weights and exercise machines," she explained while gesturing to each door in turn before then returning to being a silent watcher.
As the others each started going to different terminals, Yoko turned her attention to the one with the fence symbol embossed on it. It seemed to be the only one that hadn't been investigated yet, and Yoko planned to change that. Plus, she felt a little guilty about spending so much time soaking in the onsen while the others had been investigating, so she felt that she had to chip in a little more to compensate.

The Keyblade wielder's eyes shone with sadness as she looked at the scaled man, He couldn't feel as much as she could? That was just so sad, to have a heart only for it to not work like it should. She just couldn't imagine it, at least he seemed determined. Maybe that was enough, but why would he care about his friends if he didn't feel like she did? Maybe he just didn't know what feeling really was? Layl became passionate at her realization, her eyes lighting up in determination. If she could help she was going to, and it's time for her to try her best! "I don't believe that means it's useless, Just keep it in mind, if you care about your friends that much, surely you feel just as much as I do, I know it! So don't call it of no use, because when you feel alone, you can always look to your heart and know that your companions are there with you, and they always will be, because your hearts are connected" While she was giving her speech her hand had clenched itself in front of her chest, right above where her heart should be, as if trying to show what she was saying.
Nacht looked between Layl and Shossk in confusion, having not a clue what they were talking about, eventually he just shrugged and walked over to Iris, maybe she would play with him while the other two talked. if not...well Yoko was also free.

"Really?" Iris turned away from the arches to look at Layl with gleaming eyes, "Eevee are cute, aren't they? Plus, they have a wide array of evolutions, all triggered by stones," oh god, she had gone full nerd mode (RUN), "It might not be obvious, but various minerals of supernatural properties played a big role in my world, especially when together with Pokemon. Evolution is only part of it, some stones also make Pokemon stronger without evolving and others initiate a temporary evolution known as mega evolution. Other minerals have been said to call upon the very gods, that is to say, Legendary Pokemon. There's more, but GAH. I can't remember it right now, it feels like AL tampered with my knowledge there, put a limiter on it or something. HOWEVER, I can still talk about Eevee. In addition to being cute and having the most known number of evolutions, stones or no stones, there's also a theory that three of Eevee's evolutions, known as Eeveelutions, were actually the original forms of the Burned Tower's Legendary Dog trio, before they were killed and revived by Ho-oh. Pretty awesome, right?". It was inevitable that Iris started bouncing with excitement as she talked more and more about her favorite Pokemon. However, she did stop, right about now actually, and tilted her head. For all of the joy she had just shown about finding a fellow Eevee fan, there was now concern on her lopsided face, "Although... Wanting 20 of them is just a joke, right? You should really work on your joking face and voice. Eevee are small and fairly tame, especially if you don't evolve them, but they still need individual attention. You can't just let them wander around the house like Meowths or Glameows. As someone who's just learneed what Pokemon are, taking care of 20 all by yourself won't be good for the Eevee. I've put in some research on taking care of a lot of Eevees, and it looks like the only people who can even handle one for each evolution are mostly especially talented trainers or people who focus on breeding. After all, I suppose there's a reason for why a trainer can only have six Pokemon with them at one time."

As Yoko approaches the fence terminal she see's that it currently bears an image of a green field, in the lower left there is an image of a red arrow pointing to the left and the right has a similar arrow pointing rightward. In the middle, there is an arrow that points both toward the top and bottom of the screen.

Yoko spent some time staring at the green field on the screen, wondering what it was supposed to be for. Eventually she became bored of staring at the empty green field, so she turned her attention to the red arrows on the screen, starting with the arrow in the center pointing up.

Shossk opens his mouth to respond to Layl, but then Iris gushes out with her deluge of information and 'eevee' knowledge. He closes his mouth again and decides to leave the two human girls to that.
Instead Shossk refocuses on the kitchen door. He quickly strides over to it, with the dartrix doing little fluttering hops to keep up, figuring the humans will fill him in on what the final terminal does. Now it is time to fill himself. He enters the kitchen and does as Iris explained, bringing to mind thoughts of honey-glazed rack of lamb and opening various doors, cupboards, and the refrigerator until one of the doors produces it.

Yoko Similarly to the other machine, a tray with only one hemispherical depression emerges from the machine with a soft chime. It sits there waiting for Yoko to do another action.
Shossk When Shossk goes to open the refrigerator he hears the words "Honey-Glazed Rack of Lamb" echo back and forth in his head for a moment. When the door swings open he sees a warm, steaming honey-glazed rack of lamb sitting there waiting for him.

Slowly, almost reverently, Shossk removes the lamb from the refrigerator and sets it on the table, staring at it. He snaps his attention back to the refrigerator thinking of flank steak with blueberry sauce.

Shossk freezes, looks back at the rack of lamb, then back to the refrigerator. Experimentally, he opens and closes the door repeatedly, thinking of flank steak with blueberry sauce.

Yoko looks down at the depression with a quizzical look on her face. She had no idea why it popped the tray out, or what was for, but it probably had something to do with the strange balls she was given. Figuring that it would be better to simply let someone with more experience than her try it (*cough*Iris*cough*), Yoko pushed the tray back in if it was possible, then regardless of whether she succeeded or not, she tried clicking on any of the remaining red arrows on the screen.

The tray slides back into the machine with a click, the rectangular outline dissipating quickly. Clicking the arrows cycles the screen through several different habitats, jungle, ocean, lake, forest, swamp, desert, scrubland, city, factory. There are a few dozen others that Yoko can see as she scrolls through the list.

Shossk turns his full attention to the lamb, then. Perhaps if he ate this meal then he could summon more food from the door?
He wastes no time. He practically rips his gloves off so they don't get sticky with honey, tossing them aside randomly about the room. He opens his maw, a slight hiss escaping it just before his head lunges forward to snatch one of the racks off the plate. He strips three whole ribs from the rack and tosses it back down gullet like a crocodile, bones and all. The rest of the meal doesn't last long.
Still licking honey and residue off his lips, Shossk immediately yanks open the refrigerator again to see if there is now blueberry-glazed steak in there for him.

The fridge remains empty despite the slowly cooling plate sitting on the table.

Shossk takes the plate off the table and tosses it into the refrigerator, the plate still clattering on the shelf as he closes and opens the door again.
