The sneasel jumped up and positioned itself at the center tree as Aderyn looked infuriated by the words of Maela. "It's very clear you didn't even bother to ask for more information, but honestly I don't care anymore"
The spider-rider readied another bolt and glared.
"If you wish to be like everyone else and condemn without knowing or trying to know more, then so be it. Drown in your ideals and die"

Athletics to oppose grapple: 9s9ebqwf2d6 "Ugh!" Being wrapped up in spider silk is not Maela's idea of a good time. Her arms strain for a moment as she tries to break out of the sticky webbing, but it's strong stuff - she can't force her way free. Must remember to start carrying a knife.2d6

The spider then jumped backwards towards the rest of the bandit group, dragging Maela forward.

"We know you took the baker's family," Elys says coldly. It is a relief to be able to say what she thinks, for once, rather than bite back cutting or judgmental thoughts for the sake of manners. "You admit as much. And you expect us to believe, with these men and Pokemon at your command, that you have no choice but petty banditry? Your excuses ring as hollow as your conscience. Cie: bring down the spider."The little Houndour looses a hunting howl in response, undaunted by the dramatic difference in size between him and his quarry, and stalks forward. Cie uses Howl (+1 Atk stage) and moves forward.

"She is a foul creature." Morgan hisses. This veritable infidel not only had the gall to insult them, insult the king with lies, but also then immediately forget who fired on who first. If she was so keen on diplomacy, she wouldn't have gone and fired an arrow at them! Disgusting wretch. "Maela, hold the way! We are with you!"Cheering Maela!
Effect: The target or targets of the triggering [Orders] are Cheered for 1 full round. While Cheered, the target’s Combat Stages cannot be lowered by foe’s attacks, features, or abilities. This Feature costs 0 AP if the triggering effect affects only one ally.
In addition, Maela and Elys gain 1 Temp AP.

Elys is slower to act than her Pokemon, but her longer legs carry her farther once she gets moving. She raises her shield as she charges, ready to intercept any more arrows the bandit leader sends her way... though she suspects Maela is the target of choice, right now. Elys Sprints and moves 9 squares, then uses Morgan's AP on Shield Bearer, giving herself +4 Evasion and DR 10.

As O. gets ready to rush forward and help free Maela before she gets stuck between all the bandits, the earlier electricity acts up again locking his muscles a bit as he rushes forward. He barely makes it to where he believes Bryn might be buried before he has to stop due to the electrical surges getting to strong. Rolled an 8 on Paralysis check so took a shift action. O. is vulnerable for 1 full round, and can't make Attacks of Oppurtunity

Lana swings her shield around, irritated that her plan didn't go quite as... well, planned. By the time she's ready, of course her allies have all spread out, making her job a bit more difficult than she'd like. Oh well. She forced a smile onto her face, and advanced towards the fight, slapping the palm of her hand against the shield to start a beat. She would be their war-singer! Lana shifts into position, and uses Song of Courage as a Burst 3 Standard Action! +5 Damage to all allies within 3m of her.

The humanlike pokemon edged forward and pat one of the dogs on its back. Meanwhile the Sneasel seemed content with waiting for the spider to drag Maela backwards a bit more. Once that was done, it jumped to another of the tree branches to make it harder for the squires to get to their companion and hissed disparagingly at Elys. Taunt vs 3! tuaPkHR71d20The spider rider looked enraged, but she calmly reset her crossbow and took a knee. You could make out some mutterings (Perception for Elys who is close enough to try and make out something more!)
She fired a suppressing shot towards Elys instead |

O. lets out a few choice words as Maela is slowly surrounded by the enemy. He beats out a more complicated beat with his spear on the ground for Bryn's next set of orders hoping they would help Maela eventually. Bryn speedily moves through the ground to almost right below both Aderyn and her giant spider, hoping to have gone unnoticed so he can show himself for some carnage. Bryn takes the Sprint action moving 10 underground.

Bryn wasn't the only one sprinting. In a flash of green, Fleur races from hiding and into the tree cover of the nearby copse. Fleur sprints to the trees! Movement of 9.

While the bandit leader keeps her anger in check enough to aim reasonably well, the effort involved makes her intentions rather plain; Elys catches the bolt on her shield, her own eyes glinting murderously. Perception for Elys to try to make out something more: bRrU9zDd2d6
Sneasel hits, causing Rage; Adderyn misses thanks to Maela's Accuracy penalty and the +4 Evasion from a readied shield. 2d6

As Maela struggles against the webbing, she calls out for Arwain to go on the attack. Unfortunately, Arwain's limited range of motion keeps her from reaching Maela's assailants - but she can get that skinny little Pokémon in her sights. She bounds forward and fires off a jet of water at the dark Pokémon in the tree. Arwain shifts 2 squares northeast and uses Water Gun on Sneasel. Bound by the spider's silk, Maela can't really do much but struggle to break free, though she manages to hold her breath until the noxious fumes from one of the dogs have passed her. After a moment's thought, she jerks backward abruptly and twists through a series of techniques her instructors taught to her for breaking holds - Maela may not have the sheer mass of a larger fighter, but she's significantly stronger than she looks, and can make up in technique what she lacks in brute strength. The techniques are mostly meant to deal with more humanlike holds, but a few are meant to work with ropy bindings like vines or serpent's coils, and in any case it helps her focus on the range of motion she needs to maintain to keep from being pinned down again. In the meantime she sizes up the monstrous spider, trying to think whether anything they learned about at the Academy matches its description. Even if she can't break free, maybe she can think of a weakness to pass along to the others. If nothing else, she can spit figurative venom at the creature. "Is binding me really all you're going to do? I guess those fangs are just for decoration." She raises her head defiantly, letting her posture and tone carry most of the meaning of the taunt - in hopes of enraging it so much it attacks rather than wind more silk around her, if she can't break free. Full Action: Maela contests the grapple! If she wins, she will end the grapple rather than attempt to gain Dominance. Combat, opposed by opponent's Combat or Athletics: SZUptioJ4d6

Swift Action: Maela's Quick Wit let her use Bon Mot! Just at the final second, the black weasel swung its body on the branch and managed to move out of the fire's path!
The spider seemed very conflicted, eyeing Maela like a piece of prime morsel but also constantly darting its eyes near the area where it had felt a disturbance on the ground. It ended up releasing its strings and climbing onto the tree while leering at Maela threateningly.
