You awaken in a state of confusion. Why you’re confused isn’t immediately clear, but it certainly doesn’t help that you’re standing outside the Morlochta Department Store. It isn’t clear right away, but there also appears to be a horde of zombies - somehow oblivious to your presence - a little to the northwest… To your south is the Morlochta Subway Station, which looks chock-full of zombies. It also appears heavily barricaded, to prevent their escape, thankfully. To your southwest, there is only one zombie, although the area is similarly exposed… The only other structure of note is the looming Morlochta Central, quite a ways to the southeast. Neither you nor your pokemon are in urgent need of food, with all seven of you at approximately half your belly-capacity. The surrounding area appears littered with rubble, but there doesn’t appear to be much in the way of supplies... You are free to search for supplies anywhere, take a closer look at any structures or items, or any other basic actions you can think of. Searching for supplies, you would consult Perception or the relevant stat for the type of item you’re looking for. To find Medical Scrap would be Perception or Medicine Education, for example. You can go just about anywhere, within reason. Direct any questions to the OOC thread, Skype chat, or even a Spoiler at the bottom of your post, as you see fit, and sorry it’s taken so long to get this far. :)

Richard quickly summed up his situation, silently cursing his luck. Something had happened that had caused a lapse in his memory, and now he was here, in unfamiliar territory, although thankfully not in any immediate danger. He suspected one of the bigger nasties that roamed the darker places of the city might be responsible for his blackout, as they were almost certainly the only things psionically powerful enough to have any sort of impact on his carefully shielded mind. It was clearly evident that entering the department store would be unwise, as he could almost hear the zombies shuffling around inside, and he could certainly see them through the glass display walls, trying as best as their putrefied brains could to stay out of the sun and in the cool shadows of the unlit interior. Looking about, there were no real significant buildings nearby that weren't also clearly infested. Richard ultimately decided to make his way southwest, where the single lonely zombie meandered about. A single zombie was hardly a threat to him and his team, and he could almost certainly sneak around it if he needed to. With any luck, there would be some significantly less infested buildings in that direction that he could search for supplies in. He releases two members of his team, the first being Roborovski, whom he instructs to float low to the ground, low enough to see under the few mostly ruined cars that remained in the department store parking lot, and to keep a sharp eye out for anything hiding behind or underneath them. He also released Leah to walk next to him. Having an extra pair of eyes and ears on the lookout for trouble was never a bad thing, and Leah's ears were especially keen. Roborovski obediently searches under the cars in the parking lot, keeping just a little ahead of you. However, he appears to be a little bit more concerned with the cars than their undersides… looking for a quick meal among the car batteries? He’s probably in for disappointment, in that case.
You don’t see anything as you approach the zombie, but while you stealthily approach it, it suddenly lunges forward (away from you) and behind a car. Leah points it out to you as well, but is otherwise quiet. She doesn’t appear to have seen anything out of the ordinary, although she keeps glancing to the Morlochta Subway Station, though. It appears she doesn’t like how many zombies are lurking within…

Richard noticed Leah's unease, and put his hand on her shoulder in an effort to reassure her, whispering "Relax, we're not going over there."
Richard, rather than worry about the zombies in the station, kept his eyes fixed on the car the zombie had scooted behind. His curiosity got the better of him, and, instead of sneaking away easily, did a long arc around the car, close enough to see clearly, but not close enough to immediately alert the zombie to his presence. He was curious to see what the zombie had moved for, and wanted to see what it was doing. More likely than not it was just some impulse to move, but one never knew...

Suitably consoled, Leah returned to the task she had been given, watching for any hidden dangers. Keeping a wide gap between your group and the car, you and your team move around it without alerting the zombie... To your surprise, though, the zombie appears to have returned to being a simple corpse!
Slightly repulsed by the rotting fiend, you don’t see anything that could have done this nearby… but the zombie wouldn’t just fall over dead, would it? While you ponder the situation, and Roborovski continues “searching” for “zombies”, Leah inspects the very-much dead zombie.
While you surveyed the surrounding area, you almost missed Leah looking curiously at the smaller building to the south. You don’t see anything there, but the Audino might have heard something...

Richard, deciding that he's not going to get anywhere without being adventurous, decides to approach the building to the south. He has his Pokemon form up behind him, and approaches the building from one side, trying to stay out of view of the windows and of the glass door. If he doesn't see anything through the glass as he approaches, he'll attempt to enter the building. Cautiously, of course. Richard's Stealth: BLputMCH3d6
Roborovski's Stealth: 3d6+2
Leah's Stealth: 3d6 3d6·3d6+2·3d6

Sneaking up near one of the windows, you can definitely hear a commotion from inside. It sounds almost like someone took a hammer to a display rack, or something!
As quietly and cautiously as you can, you peer in, and immediately see a zombie! It looks occupied, though, but from this angle you can't tell with what. Not a moment later, you also recognize a someone in the store, as well! They aren't fighting the zombie, based on their positions, but that's all secondary to the fact that there's a living person, right in front of you! Beyond his lack of zombeeism, you can't make out many details in the gloom of the store, at least not through this grimy window.

Richard, not wanting to alert the zombie if the person inside wasn't actively engaging it, decides to watch and wait. If the zombie becomes aggressive, he'll intervene, but he doesn't want to botch anything for them. What he does do, however, is try and get the person's attention without making any noise or otherwise alerting the zombie. Not exactly a difficult task, but he tries as best he can. He get's Leah and Rob to stay low, but at the ready, since they may need to be called upon at any moment.

After a few seconds of carefully trying to be as obvious as possible, the zombie suddenly keels over at the glowing claws of a small, yellow Pokemon. You get the impression they’re a team, and furthermore, it appears exceptionally skilled at avoiding detection. If it hadn’t just leaped at the now-properly dead zombie, you don’t think you would have seen it at all! Before you can make too many observations, the person finally notices you, but at their angle, Roborovsky and Leah should be out of sight. Please direct your next post to this topic. It’s shared between you and this mysterious man. How exciting, maybe this man is friendly?
