Buck soon finds signs of "construction", little neat piles of dirt and rocks tucked to the side of the passage, and after a short walk later he finds out who did it. Durant are working these shafts, industriously carving their perfect passages into the very rock, meticolously calculating angle, width and height of every foot of area. These Pokemon are absolutely docile it seems, too focus on their craft to even notic Buck's presence as long as he stays out of their paths. Following them to their inner most work area reveals a massive shaft going straight down, seemingly to the center of the world, for the bottom is filled with molten rock, throwing bubbles sluggishly and with a dark crust on top of it that regularly breaks open, releasing hot gases. The walls of this shaft are teeming with Durant, some digging new holes in the sides, others pilling resources into corners, and again others just dumping waste into the pit below. | Beatrix, with the help of her trusty mount, finds the hole Buck ventured into, finding a bottle at the entrance to mark his passage. Unfortunately the opening is too small for the Rhyhorn to enter. If Beatrix ventures in, she will find the same things as Buck, and eventually catch up to him. | "Oh Darling, I gave myself permission to review your search history, and well...I think I found something you'd like. Seems like someone is offering a "Kabuto" in the Auction House. Should I place a bid for you there sweetie?" chimes Dot from her pocket.
Shortly after, Elliot notices something floating in front of him, or rather materializing back into visible spectrum, which looks like a Yamask, but without a Mask held below it but a skull, looking eerily like a human skull too. It beckons you to follow in it's wake as it. | Honey thinks it's a giant Lopunny hole, the humming must be coming from something the Lopunnys are using, and there should be no harm entering their den. No harm at all. Yepp. | Eric and Alessa approach the shrubberies, which promptly uproot themselves and try to run away, seeing how they are a couple of Oddish, some Bellsprouts and a pair of Petilil, frantically trying to get away from the pair of scary predatory humans! |

These were some hardy looking bugs!
...In fact, hardy enough that buck can just imagine how jealous Beatrix would be if she saw him with one.
He decides to try to lure one away using bits of some rations in a line. Wouldn't do to have the whole hive on him at once.
Koffing wouldn't do him much good here, so he has Bonnie stay out and on alert instead.

Elliot's ears tinge slightly red. "You, ah, only went through my search history right? And yeah, put a bid in on that Kabuto please." He almost lets out an explosive breath of relief when the strange ghost-type appears. He'll follow it, though cautiosly, and question it quietly as he goes. "Do you need help little one? Have you been down here for a long time?" He'll very carefully take a picture of the strange mon, disabling the flash first of course, and type in instructions for Dot to put the picture up for sale, even as he tries to puzzle out what it may mean for it to be holding a skull rather than a mask. Reluctantly the huntress put away her trusty steed and held company with the radically aggressive looking Paras only to stumble across Buck some time later. "Ah here you are... trying to use rations as bait I suppose? Did something catch your eye?"

Buck, having already completely forgotten that he put out the bottle at the mouth of the cavern, is baffled that Beatrix has found him. He's wrapped up in his placements of the bits of food in a line that he isn't paying attention to the voice speaking to him. "Aye, some metal bugger sure ta make tha' wench green wif envy." As he finishes up he turns around. Oh. "Oy where'd you crawl up from? Nothin' ta see here, nope. Naught but some big lava pit! Ah'm just uh...markin tha path to it with these bits o' food."

"Did you really think I would let you out of my sight for more than a few moments? Besides there was practically a trail of litter leading straight to you... honestly Buck... and food for trail markers? Have you never read Hansel and Gretel?"

At least he thinks that how it went... "Ah! Don't distract me, the notsolil' bugger'll get away."
He goes back to attempting to draw away a durant from the pack.

"Oh no! I'm sorry little friends, we didn't mean to startle you." Eric lowers himself to a crouch to look less threatening, and indicates to Alessa to do the same. "We're just gentle wanderers on the open road. I play music, see?" Eric takes out his guitar and strums. Charm OIzPDb5E4d6 4d6

Alessa wasn't certain her own attempts at calming the pokemon down wouldn't instead turn them away, so she had her team sans Myron take a couple steps back and just bask in the sun. She pulled out a candy bar and laid it on the ground a couple meters in front of her.
"We really mean no harm. Here, have something to eat. I know you're all phototrophs but my grass-types can eat treats regardless. That one's for you, loves"

Honey tilts her her up, glancing over at her friends curiously at the sound of music. She's tempted to join them, muscles twitching at the desire to move to the beat but--well, they'll be fine on their own, won't they? They're just trying to feed some cute pokemon, if she's hearing Alessa right so--
She takes a few steps towards the hole, moving slowly and trying not to fall or break anything in the process. Cinnamon drifts slightly ahead of her, casting a soft flickering glow in case of darkness in the weird hole. "Hello?" She says, softly, trying to keep herself looking small and nonthreatening.

Elliot thinks that, since Yamask are rumored to be human souls which are symbolyzed by the mask, it might be a primal form? It probably is a lot of intererst to a lot of researchers to debate about the intricate connection of Yamask, or Yaskull, and human souls. Posting the picture nets Elliot 1000$.
Asking the Yaskull yields an actual answer:"I am...a servant...I deliver you...to the one with...questions...Please...follow."
It's speech is broken, choppy, as if it had to concentrate on each word. It leads you further west of the chamber, into a passage which leads further in to a room with a single pillar leading upward. It is white as bone, hollow and looks like a lattice. Like someone rolled a piece of chickenwire into a tube. The Yaskull leads you up and once on top you are led into a large room.
It is large, dark and the floor seems to be littered with chipped shards of something. The walls are littered with holes, small and big ones a like, and in the center there is a large mound where the Yaskull leads you too. | Buck and Beatrix watch as one of the Durant walks up to the bait, chomps it down in one gulp, snapping the line in the process. Who could have thought that a Durant's metal crushing jaws could cut nylon or steel wires... | Eric's music calms the plants somewhat...somewhat. They stop their flight, look at each other, and one of the Bellsprout extends a vine to snatch the candy bar. What ensues is a somewhat comical gathering around the candybar, debating how or who should eat it. The debate seems to carry on for a while. | Honey ventures down, the humming gets more intense, the walls are roughly carved out of the ground, and walking further down it gets warmer. Eventually Honey reaches a chamber at the bottom of the softly sloping passage. She did not expect that...bugs. Everywhere her eyes meet are bugs. Big bugs, little bugs, colorful bugs, drab bugs. And everywhere are silk clusters, everywher fly various types. And strangely...it look organized, almost like a city. Not one bug seems to be idle or without purpose. |

Buck backs up, watching to see if it'll keep following the trail of bait pieces.
"Ay Beat, worst case, think ya can hold some bait in front of it to lead it back? Ye've got a few extra fingers."

Elliot is walking on eggshells, perhaps literally as he glances at the shards he's passing now. He'll also eye the mound warily, stopping a respectful distance away rather than treading directly upon it. Highbeam has been bobbing along at his shoulder, the usually mischievous Inkay pressing close to her trainer. Dot receives whispered instructions to send a message to Buck and Beatrix with his location and an urgent request for backup. All of Elliot's senses are on high alert as he stops, waiting for whatever "master" this strange creature has to appear. He's fiddling with his breast pocket in a manner which allows Dot to record everything that's happening in front of him, while Highbeam watches his back. He'll try to puzzle out what kind of pokemon he might possibly be dealing with here, taking everything into account that he knows so far. Honey's eyes brighten in wonder. "How pretty...." She mutters curiously, shifting so that the spybot will get a good shot or two of the wonder. She's careful not to make a big notice of herself until she figures out if they're friendly or if they'll be upset she's here. She looks around to see if she's been noticed, and if she's getting any hostile vibes from anyone.

Alessa quickly produced two more nougat bars and chopped them into three pieces to end up with nine portions.
"Now dears, no fighting! There's enough for everyone"
She clapper her hands in front of her mouth and giggled, then proceded to feed the assorted pokemon. She snapped a couple pics of the strange forested area and mailed them to her college, then pulled out her portable grower and plant a Chesto Berry inside before securing the lid.

Eric merely keeps watch over everything, letting Allie feed the Pokémon and idly wonders where Honey went while he was watching the grass 'mon.

Beatrix follows Buck's lead and slowly retreats. "I've the normal number of fingers, thank you, and much intend to keep it that way. Aren't ants colony creatures? I feel like this might be an awful idea... but their shells do look really strong..." She trails off. "And look at those jaws..." There is a wistful, wanting look in her eyes.

Elliot looks again down, and his stomach turns a bit, as he realizes that he is walking on bones. The mound too, is completely comprised of bones. Many bones, of many beings. Not human though, at least none that Elliot can see. And suddenly the dim chamber is lit up by an eerie glow from the mound. A rumble, a shifting of bones, the trinkle of the shards audible to Elliot like the the trinkle of broken china on the floor. Something has risen, it is tall and comprise completely of bones and it's posture reminds you of a Cofagrigus...except it's a Corpsagrigus? Despite it's morbid appearance, it's a solemn figure looking at Elliot kindly.
Thanks for coming human. I am the Caretaker, a...Gravekeeper of sorts. I am sure you have questions, and I will answer everything I can. But before I must tell you something. There lurks an evil in these caves and we will need your help to secure it...and for that we need to test if you can accomplish that." | Beatrix and Buck watch the Durants carry on, disregarding the bait completely, as these are outside their paths. The pair also gets a message from the hammer toting fella Elliot. "Need support, go west, stay west and climb pillar. | Alessa and Eric watch the plant Pokemon eat the candy bars. They seem content for a moment. Once they finish, they look at the pair expectantly. | Honey get's caught by a group of Ninjasks, they chirp excitedly and urge her to follow them, they don't seem hostile in any outright manner, but seem bent on making sure the intruder is taken care off. |

Elliot gapes, fighting back a minor wave of nausea as he takes in the strange mon's grotesque appearance. "I... well that is, sir... I'm not the only human here. Would you perhaps be willing to wait for a few of my companions to arrive? I can contact them from here without leaving... This is... it's all rather astounding; if I tried to tell them about this they may think that I simply hit my head and imagined it. And if you could, what evil? And, if I may be so bold, what do you take care of?" The questions stutter out of his mouth, even as he mind reels with the possible implications, not only of more than one pokemon capable of speech down here, but that they are intelligent to comprehend aspects of "good" and "evil" rather than merely "safe" and "dangerous".

Ellios fears worsen as the being floats closer, revealing it is a being completely composed of bone. Four arms are cross-intertwined infront of it like a complicated knot, the face a single large bone mask, and the rest of the body an amalgamation of ribs, verterbraes and more ribs:"Ahhhh, yes, I am the caretaker of the dead, which is why I can speak your language, lot's of memories to relate back to language. You see, all who perish here, within these caves end up here at some point, in some form, either their bones or their memories. I care not which actually, as I care for them both equally.
And yes, your...allies may join, their help could prove paramount to accomplish the task at hand..."
It waves somewhat dismissvely, and another Yaskull materializes before bowing and vanishing swiftly.
