It stuck around for way longer than it reasonably should have, but Super Los finally reverts to its normal form as it faints. In its place pops out a black-furred Furret. The cat launches an orb of dark energy at Glalie while Furret gets all up in Glalie's face.

As a final gift, Platek's berry launches a blast into the new Furret, dealing a bit of damage! Duch then sings a horrifying song, condemning all who come across Rei and her team to fail! And then in Platek's place, Koto comes out, and seeing the situation, she flares up in a rage. She launches a rolling wave of pure heat that fries the two targets! Furret takes 1/8th hp from Platek's berry.
Duch uses Perish Song on all targets! Perish Song cannot miss. All targets, including the user, receive a Perish Count of 3. At the beginning of each of the target’s turns, their Perish count is lowered by 1. Once a Perish Count reaches 0, set the Pokémon’s Hit Points to 0. A Perish Count disappears if a target returns to their Poké Ball, Takes a Breather, or is knocked out. Perish Song never causes Massive Damage.
On Platek's init (18), Koto comes out after the Perish Song. Then on init 8, she uses Heat Wave vs both targets! AC 4 Fire Special [SMITE] (Burns all legal targets on 18+) oaAkkYgT1d20 3d12+32

Furret squeaks, but keeps running until it vanishes into the darkened woods. It's unclear if it's just running away or trying to fetch help.

After it's clear the last target is fleeing, Koto and Duch decided not to stray too far from Rei. Koto tries heading over and nudging Rei awake while Duch pops open Piesc's ball as he is the only one remaining with enough energy to stand. He then fishes through Rei's bag and pulls out an Energy Root over his head! He then stuffs it in Rei's mouth, who quickly gets up, sputtering. It takes a second or two, but Rei's awareness comes back. She had lived through it. She won! Wait... no! She won! Laurel! Rei wrenches herself up and goes over to Laurel's unconscious body. She looks at the runic tattoo engraved on her arm, and has no idea how to remove it or do anything. This is beyond her. She recalls all of Laurel's pokemon (save for the one who's not there) and kneels next to her. She can't really heal or wake her or anything right now. She just has to hope someone heard her. She tries desperately again, tears welling in her eyes once more. "Please... someone! Celeste, anybody! You have to help me save her! Xerneas can't help her if we don't act now. I don't wan- I CANT have her sentenced to death like this at the cost of my own life! I just can't! PLEASE!"She grasps Laurel's hand in hers, and holds onto it for dear life.

The tattoo begins to glow a sickly black, like a wound suffering from necrosis. Laurel cries out in agony even in her sleep. Just as Rei begins to panic, a bright green, life-giving cocoon envelops her. The tattoo is still visible even through this thick quasi-real substance, and immediately begins to corrode it from within. After much back and forth, the two seem to reach an equilibrium, though something tells Rei it won't last forever. As suddenly as it appeared, the cocoon, with Laurel and all her possessions still in it, vanishes into thin air. No answers are given, she just vanishes.
