The fire certainly hurt, but at least Rei is awake and can move again. Alligapod... not so much. Rei is left doing another dance, and seeing as she might be the only one on her side able to do so, she switches to offense. Rei uses Dance of Blades!

Rei runs over and takes the hit for Shelgon, with her snack kicking in to help prevent her going down. She just goes to strike that one to help finish it off. Rei procs Aoo's from 3 and 1 moving to intercept for Shelgon.
Rei turns in her food buff and spends an ap to replace the food buff with the same chef snack buff as the taste (Salty)

No sooner is Alligapod awakened from her ice prison than is downed by the attacks. Rei quickly switches her out for Magnes. Even injured as he is, this battle is getting harder and harder the longer it drags on. Something has to change. She does a defensive dance while Magnes fires off! Rei uses Yoroi Step!

With the final one looking as tough as those rocks they faced not to long ago, Rei doesn't feel like she can hurt it. Magnes on the other hand... After Magnes blasts it, Rei decides to throw a ball and try capturing it. It seems tough (And hey maybe a secret weapon if she ever faces Maya again) and leaving it around threatens to injure them further. Magnes uses Mirror Shot vs 5

"Oh my! Well thank you, Maya. In reality it just looked like it's powers made it too tough to hurt, I mostly wanted to get it out of the way cause I wasn't sure how much more I could take."

"Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen a Pokemon that just seems to get randomly stronger like that. Normally there are visual cues or something with a boosting move. I think maybe we've done enough training though. Both of us are pretty beat up, and your Pokemon especially are worn down."

At the mention of heading back, Rei sighs. She wanted to do as much training as possible, but the whole tunnel wouldn't 'feel' like enough. Months of training wouldn't feel like enough. All the training in the world wouldn't feel like enough. Also a little part of her wanted to find something big down here instead of constant groups, just to test her true power. Finally she nods.
"Maybe you are right. I know we are both running low on supplies. I mean I could do a few more, but maybe it's been enough?"
Rei looks over to Sorra in the background looking for answers.

When she thinks you aren't looking, Maya rubs her shoulder. Makes sense that it's feeling the strain of all the combat lately. Especially at the rate she fires those arrows. Of course, if Rei were to ask, Maya would indicate she could certainly continue a bit longer if that's what Rei wants to do. They're doing this as much for Rei as for Maya.
Sorra, on the other hand, thinks that both of you and your Pokemon teams are about at your limit. Especially with Haxorus and Flygon having recently evolved. They need time to get used to their new forms.
