While wandering the streets of Saffron (a familiar activity), Rei comes across a disturbingly familiar scene: two guys are attempting to kidnap a lavender-haired girl by dragging her into a narrow alleyway. The same alley that you had that strange encounter in just the other day. This time, however, there are not nearly so many guys around. Just two, in fact. A Granbull stands guard while a strange, alien-looking Pokemon floats nearby. Granbull growls at you as you draw closer; it looks ready to attack on command.

As she walks the streets again with her mixed up team (Feeling just a tad vulnerable without the powerful Shinpuru around), Rei almost seems to get a sense of Deja Vu. She stops, and then her eyes widen as she realizes where she ended up. She's about to turn around to suppress bad memories when a sound catches her attention. She turns, and sees two of the boys snag the same girl into the alleyway. She freezes. It's happening... again. Less this time but... how again? What does this mean? As she stares down the Granbull, 'that' voice enters her head once again. Well now isn't THAT interesting... Hmmm. I wonder...Wonder 'what' exactly?This situation is happening again, but last time things were going poorly, and there were so many of them, like a bad dream...You think this is some sort of... vision? As if two days ago, I was witness to something that would happen to me?And it gave you the worst version of it. Now you know 'exactly' who your targets should be, and what not to do.Rei doesn't want to agree with whatever voice stole her fathers, but he's not wrong. She looks over the scene, and knows exactly what will happen if she charges in like last time. They'll scoff and ignore her statement. She'll try to push but be stopped by whatever technique those ruffians were applying, and then whatever crazy thing happened thanks to that strange pokemon will happen once again. She'll be rendered useless. Leaving her pokemon to fight the remaining oppoenents without her to protect them. She looks to her belt, and gets an idea. Rushing did not work, and her dancing powers will be rendered inefficient. She needs someone to take out the boys and that psychic pokemon. Then she can make her way back. But who can do- Oh. Oh that'll work. What are you thi- NO. Rei. Listen to me. LISTEN TO YOUR FATHER!Rei reaches for her Haunter, and launches him out next to her. Damn you Rei! That is a thing to be DISECTED! TO LEARN ITS WEAKNESSES! DON'T YOU REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED TO ME,
R-Silence.Rei squints her eyes hard as she concentrates on removing the voice. She almost sees spots from doing this, but when she opens them, she has the silence she requested. Rei breathes labored for a moment, before extending her blade. This time, she's ready. Rei does her defensive dance (With her little attack boost) again, but stays in the back, hoping to draw the Granbul out to her, and stay far from the humans. "Duch, that one. Put it to sleep, if you would do me the kindness?"Duch laughs a haunting (GET IT) laugh, and then stares intently at the Elgyem, hoping to hypnotise it! Rei uses Yoroi Step (With Power Pirouette to boost attack!)
Duch uses Hypnosis vs Elgyem!

Granbull looks between Rei and Duch, and then decides to Intimidate Rei and (at its master's instruction) set up a flashy screen.
Granbull used Reflect! 2/2 charges remaining.
The closer of the two boys steps up and fixes Rei with a withering stare. He spends 2 AP for Fearsome Display, slowing Rei down further. (-2 Speed CS)

Just for good measure, Granbull Intimidates the sleeping Ghost as well. Then it rushes at the paralyzed Rei.

Rei is stared at, and this seems to affect her a lot more than she'd like. However the Granbul's attack doesn't manage to get through her defenses well.

Finding that the stare hasn't fully affected her yet, she switches out the sleeping Duch (How'd that even happen?) and swaps in the beautiful Koto. The Ninetails takes to the field, and stares the targets down with silent judgement.1d20

Koto gets wrecked pretty early, but stays standing, while Rei takes a slight hit. Rei points out that one to Koto, while she herself slices at the Granbull. Rei uses Weapon Struggle vs Granbull

The attacks hurt Rei, and she feels another snack take it's effects. But it's not enough to keep her up for long. She and Koto turn toward this pokemon on her front, and they both strike to remove it from play. Rei uses Weapon Struggle vs Granbull

Alright sleep won't work, we'll have to try something else.While Rei applies a Super Potion to herself. Duch floats over, and suddenly the front boy feels a chill down his spine. Then, without losing a beat, Duch turns back toward his initial target and a shadowy night falls over the psychic type. Rei uses a Super Potion on herself.
Duch uses (On Koto's turn) Curse on Guy #1!

User loses 1/3 hp and the target is Cursed!

Granbull surprisingly seems to shrug off the flurry of kicks. That's weird, isn't it a Normal Type? Looks like one at least, and that's what the Tome seems to suggest. It easily dodges the quick-punch.
