Several of the leaves bounce off the lobster's shell, but enough find purchase to finish it off. The opposing trainer grumbles as they fork over 540 crowns. Rei earns 1 xp and 35 poke xp.

The Tome cannot say if it's the exact same Vulpix, but it is one nonetheless. It does not, however, know what the other one is. It suggests looking at "Pikachu", which seems to be what Clay encountered before. They seem like they're related, but it's uncertain how.

If the Vulpix recognizes you, it doesn't show it. It does give you a look that seems to say "please, take this thing away, it's bothering me". The tiny "Pikachu cousin" seems to be trying to get Vulpix to play with it.
