The Sandile seems to actually gain strength from defeating Raido! (Moxie grants +1 Attack CS, for a total of 2.) Melisandra seems quite pleased that her little lizard finished off the "ugly goat".
"Yes. It must be; and I must win. And no, your 'Raido' is not good-looking. Not from where I'm standing. Though, based on that weird 'thing' you just sent out, and your style of dress, I'd say that your judgement needs refining. It won't matter soon though. Sandile, finish this fight. Bite it."

The weakened sandile tries to hold on at its Trainer's urging, but that grass attack earlier did its job and it faints.
"WHAT?! NO! This.. I can't.. not supposed to..." Melisandra recalls her Pokemon and flees the scene, leaving only a small amount of money for Rei as her winnings.
Rei earns 500 Crowns (basically gold coins), 17 Poke XP and 1 Trainer XP.

As the woman just 'runs' off after losing, Rei stands there, just a bit dumbfounded. Shinpuru on the other hand, is doing some sort of warrior's victory dance. He stamps around in a circle, clearly enjoying the fact he took something out in one hit (As far as he knows).
Ah yes! Another great victory for me, the great warrior! I need something to keep track of my victories, like notches on a scabbard!
Rei walks over and picks Shinpuru up.
Ah yes, of course. We may continue now, Master. My bloodlust has been sated.
She looks out past where the woman ran off, and picks up her winnings. She looks for a moment before shaking it off.
"That was just strange, right Shinpuru?"
Indeed, Master Rei.
Rei begins to walk back to the guild, now in need of healing services for her pokemon (At least it's not her this time!). She sits and waits for her three pokemon are healed, and after they are, she thanks them and leaves. Once outside, she releases the little bird she caught (Making sure Shinpuru isn't out during the same time). The Fletchling looks around confused. Last it remembered, it was in the air! It chirps once before bouncing around, pecking the ground a couple times to get it's bearings.
"I'm sorry little one for Shinpuru's actions. I've gotten you healed up, and I believe you are still hungry, yes?"
The orange bird chirps in agreement, and it and Rei go off to find some food. The bird eats happily, and Rei just watches it with a smile on her face.
"I know I caught you, but I'm not one to keep something that doesn't want to stay. I'll promise you are well taken care of if you'd like to stay! And also I'll make Shinpuru behave, ok?"
Rei holds out the ball to offer a return, and the bird tilts it's head, as it's trying to understand, before pecking it to return itself. Rei holds the apricorn ball to her chest.
"Welcome... Hari."
Rei heads outside shortly after, and lets Raido back out. He's still a bit worn from the earlier battle, but carrying Rei around is his job he's happy to do. Rei's a light little load, afterall. They trot to the beginning of the path they took to Lavender Swamp, but don't head in far. Rei's hoping to find another member to add to the family.

Taking a moment to rest near the trees at the edge of the swamp, she hears some rustling directly above her head. Looking up, she has just enough time to spot something falling out of the tree and avoid it. Raido, who was grazing on some tasty-looking grass nubs nearby, is not so lucky, and gets plonked on the head by what looks like a knight's helmet. The helmet then gets up and opens its top, revealing a weird, pink-ish-red Pokemon within.

Raido snorts and shakes his head as he's bonked. The Skiddo backs up a moment from the strange thing, and gives Rei a look. Rei, however, having just joined the Steel branch, sees an opportunity. Either this is a pokemon that adorably caught itself inside some lost knight's helmet, or just 'is' the helmet. Either way, she likes it. And she decides to have a bit of fun with it. "I apologize Sir Knight, was I trespassing on the land of your grand castle here?"
Rei motions toward the tree. DAT DISCHARMER AGAIN

The odd Pokemon leaps up and spins around towards Rei, startled by her voice. This causes the visor part of its helmet to crash down again in a comedic manner. It quickly re-opens it and stares Rei down, as if daring her to try and fight it.

Rei giggles as the creature looks confused. She dismounts and recalls Raido, hoping to make the creature know she doesn't want to fight it.
"I mean no trouble Sir Knight. But... where has the rest of your armor gone? Was it stolen by tricky thieves in the night?"

The Tome takes a bit to magically scan the Pokemon. It then spits out an image filled with data, including a name: "Shelmet". Apparently that 'helmet' is the shell it lives in. The actual body is the pink-ish-red thing inside.

The Shelmet ponders for quite some time (maybe even a whole 2-3 minutes), before puffing itself up again and declaring:
"Mel! Shem let!"
Not being able to speak Pokemon language like Clay, you have no idea what it just said to you. However, you would guess that it seems agreeable to the idea of being a strong protector. When you pull out an apricorn ball and put it nearby for it to touch, it becomes startled by your sudden movement and has the visor fall down again, causing it to freak out more at the sudden plunge into darkness. It inadvertently stumbles into the ball, activating it. It's caught relatively quickly, as it was probably too startled to struggle much. Oh well, you can surely explain what just happened later.
Shelmet is Male, level 6, Lax, with Shell Armor.

Rei stands dumbfounded once again for a moment before popping back up.
"I... guess that's a yes!"
With no reason not to rerelease it, Rei lets the 'Shelmet' back out. The confused creature is still closed up, stumbling around. Rei reaches down to open it back up, and the Shelmet jumps back in surprise.
"I'm so very happy you've decided to join me!"
The Shelmet looms confused for a moment. Did he join? He can't quite remember. All he remembers is blackness. But then for once in his life someone helped him when the blackness came, instead of laughing. If someone was actually this nice to him he must have agreed to join up. He looks up at the girl.
"Met!"
"Thank you for accepting my quest, Sir Knight. But I believe you'll need a proper name... Hmmm. Sheru. I think it suits you."
Rei picks up the newly named Sheru up in her arms (with a bit of surprised squirming that flips the Shelmet upside down for a moment), and rides Raido back into town and toward the guild. She presumes it's around dinner, and hopes that the others are eating so that she may meet up or wait for them.

The 'fashionista' puts some finishing touches on an adorable little girl's makeover then holds up a mirror for her. The girl squeals with joy and hugs her then runs back to her waiting parents.
"Hello, and welcome to my little fashion stall. I'm JoJo. Can I help you?"

A little pink star-shaped Pokemon hops up onto the table showing off wares and begins doing a little dance routine.
"This here is BillieJean, my Cleffa. She may not look like much, but she's a tough little cutie when she wants to be."

"As I have a brave warrior next to me that is also in a cute package, I know they can surprise if you aren't careful."
Shinpuru looks a tad insulted by being called 'cute' once again, but doesn't say anything. He knows Rei is aware of his true power. Rei returns him, and readies Sheru's pokeball.
"But yes, I have a couple who need the training as well, and the offer of something for free is greatly generous, thank you!"
(No matter the poke count, Rei is leading with Sheru and just going to maintain Agility Orders as she can't do much else. Sheru will begin with an Initative of 11.)
