A layer of Light Screen shatters, weakening the steely blast. The moon doesn't look so great.
In spite of its weakened state, it throws one last psychic blast out.

This time it goes down. Nemae bites her lip somewhat and recalls it. In its place emerges a beautiful white Pokemon with green hair. Wait, this thing is bigger than what she had last time. Did it evolve?
Init - 16
"This is my final Pokemon, and my best friend, Amalia the Gardevoir." She explains.
The psychic Pokemon unleashes an energy blast at Magnes that is significantly stronger than what the moon-rock-thing used earlier. So much so that it physically moves the floating magnets.

Rei looks a bit in awe at the beautiful pokemon. I guess even like her own, pokemon seem to evolve fast when you aren't looking! Seemed like her rescue was only a short time before as well. Magnes gets blasted, but not quite out, and all three eyes let loose three colored beams at Amalia! Tri-Attack! Amalia peers into Magnes' mind, ferreting out its strongest attacks.
Forewarn ability: The move with the highest Damage Dice Roll known by the foe is revealed. If there is a tie, all tied Moves are revealed. The Moves revealed suffer a -2 penalty during Accuracy Checks when used by the target for the remainder of the Encounter.
After, Amalia bolsters her strength and defenses.
Calm Mind: +1 SATK/SDEF.

Rei frowns as Magnes falls and recalls the Magneton. She goes over to Nemae.
"Well done! I thought Yagami's early lead had it locked in for me, but you seemed to have held it out!"

Nemae and Amalia are ecstatic. They hug each other and jump up and down for a moment before realizing you're talking to them. Nemae blushes a little in embarrassment.
"Ummm.. yes. Thank you for this, Rei. I've never seen an Eevee like Yagami before. Is it a Ghost-Type?"

"It is, actually. As an Eevee, he snatched a reaper cloth I had for studying for it's spiritual ties, and then turned into a ghost-type himself! I am surprised at his power in this match, considering it's only been like a week or two since he hatched!"

"How interesting! I had no idea such an item would affect an Eevee, though it does make some sense in retrospect, what with Eevee's irregular genetic structure. It simply "adapted" to the Reaper Cloth, becoming a Ghost-Type. What's even more interesting is that you say it's barely a few weeks old. I guess it really wanted to show off for you!"

"I think it did! And I can say the same for your Amalia there. When we uhhh... 'met', it certainly hadn't taken that form. What prompted her evolution?"

A new voice inserts itself into the conversation. "Greetings, Miss Rei. This is Amalia. In answer to your question, after you saved us I was... somewhat depressed. I felt as if I wasn't strong enough to protect Mistress Nemae. So, I threw myself fully into training. I redoubled my efforts to become stronger. Strong enough to even defeat Mond and Sunne, who resist all of my psychic attacks. In doing so, I not only gained the energy and experience I needed to evolve into my final form, but I also discovered that I could wield another type of energy. I'm not certain what it is, exactly, but it's different than my normal Psychic."
She suddenly blushes. "Oh, goodness, I'm rambling. I'm so sorry. The point is that I knew I had to be stronger to protect Mistress Nemae, and so I pushed myself until I could evolve."

Rei does know how this pokemon feels, and she steps forward and puts a hand on Amalia's shoulder.
"Don't worry, you weren't rambling. Trust me, I know that feeling Amalia. Seeing how easily you dispatched one of my main pokemon in Magnes, I know next time you'll keep Nemae safe."

"Well thanks for the training match, Nemae. You should be proud of your pokemon, especially Amalia. I hope we get the chance to do this again."
With that, Rei gives a small bow and leaves, hoping to meet up with Tiki again.

Rei and Maya vs Pupitar Swarm!
Traveling a little ways further into the Rock Tunnel, Rei & Co come across a small group of... gray rocks?
"Oh, wow. Pupitar!" Maya exclaims, fire dancing in her eyes. "Not a dragon, but still a very impressive Pokemon. I can't wait to test our strength against them. Let's go, Vibrava!"

After pocketing the berry, it doesn't take long to find something hostile. Rei's a bit confused by them but Maya seems excited, so she guesses it's time to go! She recalls Magnes, leaving only Alligapod around to fight. She herself begins a defensive dance; as seeing as there's five of them and only four of her group, so she'll need it. She unsheathes the broadsword and waits. Rei uses Yoroi Step to raise her def 2 stages.
Spinning Dance activates, giving Rei an extra stage of a stat she didn't raise (Attack)

Maya fits an arrow into her bow and takes careful aim.
Maya uses Dead-Eye Shot. At the end of the round, she'll roll for accuracy twice and can take either. If she takes the lower result and still hits, it is an automatic critical hit.
Vibrava opens up vents in the earth near Pupitar #2, causing a small amount of steam and tectonic energy to burst forth.
