Rei - Solo RP & Special Missions

Holly's stomach seems to have similar designs on forcing them to stop cuddling and eat actual food. Holly slinks back over to the tree where they began their 'fun' the previous night and retrieves her clothes, putting them back on. She takes some time to practice with her Pokemon while Rei makes breakfast.

Holly sits next to Rei and takes her time enjoying the meal.

Holly leans into Rei, mumbling something about how her food is always delicious.

Holly nods in assent to Rei desiring a constant reminder of how delicious her cooking is. "Your food is always delicious, Rei." She listens quietly as Rei turns the conversation to more serious matters, gently squeezing Rei's arm in acknowledgement. "I'll go wherever you go, Rei, and stay by your side forever."

Rei doesn't immediately find signs of any Blaziken tribe/clan/flock/whatever, but does find signs of a lot of human activity that passed through just yesterday. Must be the Fighties from the Guild.

Rei actually bumps into Clay's tribe first. They're friendly enough, and seem to believe that she is one of the Fighties as they don't question her presence. Likely that the Blaziken tribe wouldn't be nearby, but... oh! Perhaps Piesc the Lucario can ask the Infernape if they know of Brenda's supposed tribe.

They marvel at the Lucario, having never had the chance to meet one before as Wild Lucario tend to be stoic loners, almost a complete opposite to the excitable Chimchar line. It takes some time, as the Blazing Tree Guards are eager to trade stories about fights they've been in, but Piesc is eventually able to learn that while these specific Infernape have not interacted with the 'chicken-girl', she has been through once before asking about Clay. They learned from him when he visited yesterday to introduce the Fighties that she had indeed found him and kicked his sorry tail. They found this rather amusing once the story spread throughout the troop. Now, as to where the chickens like to hang out... they've never really interacted with them, so they suspect probably higher up on the mountain, since they like to show off how awesome their jumping prowess is. They recommend to Piesc/Rei that they check up there. Maybe another few tree's-length up the mountain. When Piesc expresses confusion over their unit of measurement, they point to the tallest nearby tree, where the Elders hang out. This tree is perhaps 40 meters tall, so a 'tree's-length' is probably somewhere on the order of 40 meters. Piesc thanks the Troop Guards and relays all the relevant information to Rei.

When Rei indicates they are not in a hurry, Piesc does relate a condensed version of his very first battle with Rei in Rock Tunnel to them. This seems to satisfy the Infernape for now, and they wave as Rei & Co depart. Piesc will stay out for now in order to use his Aura Sense to help them avoid accidentally grabbing at disguised Rock-Type Pokemon that are known to hang out on the mountain. It's a long journey, but the first leg of it isn't particularly demanding.

Piesc is able to easily leap atop larger boulders to avoid loose scree as the climb becomes steeper later on, offering to help the girls where needed. Holly's legs aren't quite as powerful as Piesc's, but once atop the boulders herself, she is able to easily leap from rock to rock as if she was born to it.

At one point, Piesc has to guide them up onto a narrow Gogoat trail to avoid a Graveler slide. There were maybe a dozen of the craggy Pokemon tumbling down the mountainside with no signs of attempting to stop until they ran into something sturdy enough to halt their momentum. Thankfully, the gogoat trail leads to a much flatter area on the mountainside. Here, there are signs of life that isn't made of rocks. In fact, it's a Gogoat pasture of sorts. Seems a decent place to rest once Piesc explains to the herd that they are only passing through, and not here to steal their pasture.
