"Alright Victor, now that all the guests are here, let's get this party started! Double Kick on the Mareep, and stay on your feet," Steven calls out, grinning widely. The Blitzle darts off towards the Mareep, banking to the right before he reaches the sheep. In his enthusiasm his first kick whizzes past Beaux, but luckily the second kick hits. Steven uses Inspired Training on Blitzle, giving him +1 Evasion and +1 on Save Checks. Total Speed Evasion is now 5, 2 for both the others.
Blitzle uses Double Kick on the Beaux. AC3: 2, 19. One hit, so DB3: 21 Physical Fighting Type Damage.

"Hang tough Beaux! I believe in you!," Kuna called out, hugging his Raichu plushie tightly. "Come on guys, get in there and help Beaux!," he said to his teammates, a worried look on his face. The Mareep had taken the hit well, and was still standing.
"Not to worry Kuna, it's all going according to plan," Jimmy said with a grin. He looked at Joey and the pair nodded. "Alright Rick, let's get started! Confuse that Caravel!," he called out. The Rotom floated forward, launching a blast of eerie energies at the Sandshrew.
"Your turn too Trick! Time for a Drive-by Paralysis! on their Petilil!," Joey called out. The Electrike responded with a yip, rushing forward to launch a wave of paralytic energy at Demi, before dashing to flank Victor, leaving a streak of static electricity in his wake.

Steven grins. This was fun. And even more fun would be... "Victor, please show them what we think of people trying to stun plant friends."The Blitzle neighs, as sparks zip over his fur as Trick uses his Thunder Wave attack. The wave of electricity quickly gets diverted, harmlessly being absorbed by the little equine, as the sparks darting over his skin grow more frequent. Victor uses Lightning Rod to redirect the Thunder Wave to himself. He gains +1 Special Attack CS. |

When the energy hit the Sandshrew, it's eyes grew glazed and it moved with staggered steps. Matt flinched before calling out "I t's fine Caravel, move into position and take a moment to clear your head. You'll be able to do it, I believe in you!" The Sandshrew stumbled forwards a few steps before rolling into a ball and stopping much closer to the Rotom, it's eyes having the same glaze as before it moved. It seems the confusion wouldn't be able to be shaken off that easily Matt is using Focused Training on Caravel.
Caravel is moving into position but not taking any actions
However he failed his check and is still confused next turn |

Jimmy frowned as the Blitzle absorbed the first Thunder Wave...but this is why you didn't just bring one.
"Kuna! Plan B, Beaux needs to Paralyze the other one--the Petilil!," he said urgently.
The younger boy nodded. "Break away and go for it Beaux! Trick's got your back, so Thunder Wave that cute little Petilil!," he called out, hopping on one leg and holding one arm straight up.
The Mareep responded, moving away from the Blitzle and launching another paralytic blast of energy at Demi.

Julie frowns as the opponents focus their efforts on debilitating Demi, instead of attacking directly or getting close to her. The electric sparks had taken their toll, and she could see that Demi wouldn't be able to move properly. Luckily, they had some other tricks up their sleeves, even if it wasn't exactly what she had wanted to open up the fight with. "Alright Demi, they're not the only ones with a few tricks! Leech Seed that Mareep, keep the pressure up!"
The little Petilil nods through electric jolts, summoning up seeds from the ground and launching them through the air, where they quickly found a home buried in the sheep's fluffy wool.

"His name is Trick, not Quick!," Joey called at Steven as the Electrike landed its blows. However, in all of that chaos, Rick the Rotom had zapped his way right behind Victor.
"Great job Rick, now, Pincer Attack! Use Swift!," Jimmy called. The little poltergeist unleashed a volley of stars, the entirety of which struck Victor.
"Shock Wave, Trick! And get ready, you know what comes next!," Joey called. The little Electrike responded, sending a wave of electricity into the Blitzle. Although he had made a critical error.
"Joey, get your head in the game! His Blitzle used Lightning Rod, that won't work at all!," Jimmy chided, a look of realization hitting Joey's face.
"Dang it, sorry Jimmy...," Joey apologized. It was a novice mistake...but, to be fair, none of the combatants had a gym badge to their names.

Matt shook his head as the Rotom moved into place against Victor " Alright Caravel, don't let them pull a move like that, Roll up and roll out! Box Trick in too!" The Sandshrew quickly rolled into a ball and sped forward towards the Electrike, moving erratically and bouncing into a few rocks along the way, banging himself up in the process. However, he managed to make contact with a final bounce, dealing a heavy blow to the Electric type 4 vs AC 4 though with Flanking to take away his AC that should hit and deal 32 physical Rock type damage |

Trick took the hit, but he did not seem to appreciate it in the slightest.
"Alright Beaux, let's grill that grass type-get clear and use a super Thunder Shock!," Kuna called out. The little sheep responded, bouncing away from Caravel and launching a particularly nasty shock in Demi's direction.

Despite being hit by a massive jolt of energy, Demi takes the hit fairly well, and she straightens herself with renew vigor after the strike. Julie watches carefully, calling out from the sidelines. "Good job taking that hit Demi, time to get some payback. Move in a bit closer and then heal up!'The little sprig nods and shifts slightly closer to her target, then summons forth a sapping energy, pulling the vitality from Beaux and standing up a little taller.
Julie uses Inspired Orders!
Demi shifts a few squares and uses Absorb on Beaux!
Roll of 10 vs AC 2, 27 Special Grass type damage heading towards Beaux, of which Demi heals half of the total damage dealt.
Demi's Physical and Special evasions are currently at 4 and 4 because of Inspired Training and Orders.

Steven winces as Victor is hit by the Rotom's attack, but sighs in relief as it seems that he hadn't taken any long-lasting damage. He snorts as Trick, rather ineffectively, hits Victor with the Shock Wave. "Nice going there, Joey. Victor, move away from the Rotom and hit the Electrike again, Double Kick."Victor quickly dashes away from the poltergeist, before hitting the canine with both hoofs, landing two solid blows. Steven uses Focused Training as order
Victor Disengages to where he is now and uses Double Kick. AC3: 17, 7. Two hits, so DB6: 33 Physical Fighting Type damage |

"Not so fast!," Joey shouted, "Trick! Quick Attack, aim for the ankles! Don't let Victor get away!," Joey ordered. Trick seemed to move with increased purpose, diving inside of Victor's guard with the speed most electric types are famous for. There was a glint in the Electrike's eyes as it prepared to forcefully strike at the Blitzle's legs...

Victor was quick, but suddenly changing from one attack to another mid-swing wasn't easy, and it slowed him down. There was a blinding flash of static electricity as the two charging pokemon collided, causing the crowd to gasp. As the light cleared, the two pokemon had passed one another and were standing stock still. The air was tense, waiting for the outcome of the attack.
Trick was the first to move, falling to his knees but still conscious. Victor turned over his shoulder at the Electrike. "Bli...tzle...," he muttered, a blank look stealing over its face as he collapsed onto his side, unconscious.
"Elec...," Trick muttered. He got up on all fours again, took a step, and collapsed, unable to battle further. It was a double knock-out! The crowd applauded, and even the shadowed figure of Simon Caine in his VIP box clapped.
Joey recalled his unconscious Electrike. "Great job Trick, that was awesome! Take a break for now." He, as well as Steven, would have to send out their next pokemon soon.
"Nice going Joey, now it's our turn to follow up," Jimmy said. "Rick! Surprise that Sandshrew! Use Astonish!," he called out. Rick floated his way forward, launching his ghostly attack at the pokemon with a chuckle.

As the Ghost type move hit Caravel, it seemed to have nearly no effect, just bouncing off the curled up Pokemon. Matt just smiled at the hit and shook his head " You're gonna have to do better than that to hurt my Pokemon. Might have well tried punching a wall. Hit that ghost with a Rollout" Caravel responded by seemingly coming to his senses and smashing into Rick with all his might. However even rolled up he still seemed to wobble after the hit Caravel takes a big ol 1 from the astonish.
And responds with a Rollout dealing 39 Physical Rock type damage |

Rick took the attack hard but was still floating strong.
"Our turn Beaux! Throw out a Thunder Shock at that shrub and let's take Demi down!," he called enthusiastically. Unfortunately, however, Beaux's attack fizzled, leaving Demi unharmed.

Julie watches with a smirk as the little sheep's electric jolt missed, deciding it was time to start playing some tricks of her own. "Alright Demi, keep up the work, and slow down the tempo with a Sleep powder on that sheep!" Demi nods lightly, shrugging off her stiffness, and the leaves on her head rustle softly as a light powder drifts towards the Mareep, the puff of powder hitting it square in the face.
Julie used inspired orders on Demi, boosting her save rolls by 2 and her evasion by 1, for a cumulative bonus of +4 and +2 respectively.
Demi Shrugged off Paralysis and is not Vulnerable
Demi uses Sleep Powder, roll of 19 vs AC 6.

No sooner did Beaux start counting sheep than a recall beam struck the little sheep. Sapping seeds and sleeping sheep would simply not do.
"Good going Beaux, rest up for now! We'll need you later. For now, Mary, come on out sweetie!," Kuna called, releasing a very stylish Emolga nearby.
"Hey, don't count me out yet! Handy, come on out!," Joey called, releasing a small purple monkey onto the battlefield. "Alright Handy, they took out Trick, so I say we pay them back! Whadda ya say?," Joey called out. The Aipom slammed his tail-hand into the ground aggressively, a very angry look on his face.
Jimmy nodded. "Right, I think we've had enough of that sleep powder. Rick, use Swift on that shrub!," he called. Rick listened with a giggle, zapping himself a short ways away from Caravel before firing off a stream of stars at Demi.
