I promise I'm still interested, just been quiet for a while due to a busy life. I've started making a Tumbler/Juggler, though I'm very tempted to cross into Wind Runner for a supernatural twist. Besides that, I'd like to give my character a pair of roller blades as Feet Equipment, and I'd like to know how you would handle the item's effect and cost. If you'd like a reference, there's an old homebrew class that introduced a Skates item for $3,000, with the following effect: "Skates reduce your overland to 1/2 of its normal speed when you're on particularly rough ground (eg. tall grass, tree roots, gravel, mulch) or on stairs. This does not have to be rough terrain, but can stack with detriments from rough terrain. Skates increase your overland by 1 plus 1/2 of your Athletics rank when you're on particularly smooth ground (eg. city streets, hardwood, tile). When you buy this item, you choose rollerblades or rollerskates; both are functionally equivalent." To generalize the effect, the Skates item Slow you when on Slow Terrain (basically quadrupling the movement cost), but increase your Overland by 1 + half of your Athletics rank on any terrain that was particularly smooth ground (so most regular terrain). Just to be perfectly clear, I'm cool with not having them as actual equipment and just fluffing when my character uses them. I just thought it'd be a neat idea for them to have a tangible effect. Thing is that there won't be much trainer participation in battles, so I'd make it more of a fluff thing than an actual item.

When you say "Trainer Participation," do you mean Trainer combat (like a martial artist beating up a bad guy alongside his Machop) or all forms of participation (such as some of the Juggler features)?

By that I mean Trainer Combat like Martial Artist fighting bad guys. You can choose those classes for the Trainer Participation Contests though, as there will be a few instances of that. Trainers can't fight Pokémon, but will be able to aid their Pokémon in battle by using their features like those gained from Juggler, Commander, Trickster, etc.

Hmm, I have this Water-based coordinator that I made for Lly's game eons ago. His main shtick should be Beauty, but Grace should allow for other contest participation tbh. Let me repurpose him a bit, and we should be set.
Just to be clear, Picking Milotic wouldn't require buying a Prism Scale or half a ton of Beauty poffins?

Okay, here's the early draft for Isaac Hunter. Still missing the Pokemon, backstory and the writing sample. If it wasn't clear by the sheet, he's a Water-focused trainer. I'm debating over doing Water Ace, Maelstrom, or Beauty Ace. We shall see. Now, I should sleep. It's four AM somehow and the bed beckons!

Well, I'd like to throw my application in the ring and roll my Introduction Dice! Meet Brent Lovell, a young cook with a passion for pokémon cuisine. Brent is created with the intention of being a party support, helping his friends as they travel with various small buffs while learning about Stiola's culture and becoming better at the whole pokémon training thing. He will likely become a Smart Ace, trying to make the best out of his smart group of pokémon. I added an extra tab on the sheet to better explain Brent's crafting items and the development of his pokémon contest stats, since he'll be mostly focused on Poffins to be a better coordinator, as he lacks the namesake class. RP Sample:The small oddish looks a bit nervous as she takes the stage, looking coyly at her trainer who smiles and encourages her. "Let's make a big cloud, Mooli." With a short nod, the oddish faces the audience drawing a few giggles, before starting to walk in circles, slowly at first, but increasingly faster. As she does so, with occasional twirls and tumbles that draw more smiles from the public, a cloud of a bright pink gas is kept on the center, until it looks like a sphere of gas. And that's when she suddenly leaps high in the air to fall in its middle.
The gas is quickly pushed away in all directions, forming waves that hit the audience with a sweet, pleasant smell. The pink smoke dissipates quickly but the aroma lingers, and the public cheers at the oddish now sitting on her rear, using her leaves to charmingly hide her eyes, looking completely embarassed by the applause drawn by her performance.
Mooli used Sweet Scent, a Cute movement with the Excitement Effect!

Pretty sure Isaac is done now wyomon . Any chance for a quick review? Also as a quick note, I'd like to think Isaac is from Stiola and as such I've left the name of his hometown open.

Everything seems to be filled in right, so that's ok already. You can claim a spot on the map as your hometown, just tell me where and how you'd like it to be called and I'll see if that alright

Great! Taking the spot marked below. Name of the town will be Wavehaven, and the bay around it should be named Sapphire Bay if that's alright. Major vacationing spot with nice pretty seas and all.

Sounds good to me, You can add the town of Wavehaven to your sheet. Sapphire Bay is also a nice name for a landmark. Stiola Island Map

Could I theoretically submit a second character? You can, if you have another idea for a character.

Now I'm finally back on top of things, lemme see if I can squeeze a character in over the weekend.
Also, just as a note, the link in the first post to Isaac doesn't seem to link to his sheet.
EDIT: Oh, forgot to ask. Can we have crafted things beforehand for the discount if we have the appropriate Features/Edges?
