Clay gives the Delcatty his challenging grin. "Okay, kitty cat, let's see what you've got. Come on, Mufomono!"
The Sandile peeps as she appears from her ball, her black-masked eyes fixed on the larger Pokémon.

"Okay, show some teeth, girl!"
Mufomono lets out a menacing hiss and charges, snapping her long jaws at the Delcatty's legs.

Delcatty yowls at Sandile, and unleashes a burst of sparkling pink energy? That's a new trick!

It's a new trick that Mufomono doesn't like at all. She makes a noise that would probably be a roar if she was bigger and backs away, shaking her head rapidly - her scales have blanched unhealthily.
"Okay, don't know what that was but it's not good for Sandiles. Uh, new plan... Hey, Red Child, your turn!
Red Child had just been standing back while Clay confronted the cat. Now he leaps forward with a challenging bark! Flame streams from his jaws and around his shoulders as he pounces on the Delcatty.

Delcatty is knocked aside, but quickly rights itself. Red Child has this strange feeling come over him. He feels.. kinda bad for hurting the cat. It's weird. (Cute Charm! Red Child is infatuated!)
The cat then leaps back into the fray, smacking Red Child about the face and shoulders with its paws and tail.

Red Child blinks and rubs his nose, like it was a punishment swat and not several massive hits. Luckily for him he's a lot tougher than he was as a Growlithe. He whines a little and snaps halfheartedly at the cat, as if he's not quite sure he wants to hurt her.

The nimble cat evades the halfhearted snapping of Red Child's jaws and goes to smack him again. He's ready for it this time though, and leans back out of range.

The cat manages to get more hits in this time, and fetches Red Child a nasty slash across his muzzle, but it seems to be flagging. Clay figures now is a good time. He pulls out an apricorn ball and tosses it at the Delcatty.

After his meditation and sparring training within the Fighting Branch, Clay hears a commotion at the door to the Branch. From the sounds of it, there is a fight going on!

As Rei walks from her training match (And the healer) to find Tiki, she hears a great commotion, and is too curious to ignore it. She heads to it and peeks her head around the corner.

Clay, meanwhile, steps out the door of the Fighting Branch with pretty much the same motivation. After all, he has to at least see what's going on! If there's a fight happening, he wants to at least see who's involved, and maybe if help is required somehow... though of course the only reason to interfere would be if things get out of hand. But even if his assistance isn't needed it's at least worth seeing what's up.

Both parties spot a lean-looking girl demanding to see someone she refers to as "The Monkey Boy", and that she knows he's in here. Clay recognizes the sleepy doorman blocking her path. That's pretty unusual, he rarely moves from his chair by the door! At present he is trying to get the girl to calm down and explain more fully who this "monkey boy" is, as that could refer to just about anyone! Out of the blue, she leaps back and launches a powerful kick at the prepared doorman. He merely grabs her leg mid-kick, stopping and then transferring her momentum into the act of tossing her back out into the hall. She twists in mid-air, landing lightly on her feet. This continues on for awhile, with each of her kicks followed up by swift jabs at any spot she can reach.
Obviously more annoyed than hurt, Mr. Doorman (Clay never did catch his name as he seems to be asleep all the time, not unlike a Snorlax) suddenly rushes forward, aiming to bowl the spry girl right over. Instead, she crouches down and leaps up over him, landing a solid blow to his back and causing him to stumble forward and slam into the nearby wall face-first. She then lands lightly on her feet again and briefly flashes a smirk at the many surprised onlookers. Just then, as she turns back to face the entrance to the Fighting Branch, she catches a glimpse of Clay.
"You! Monkey Boy of the Blazing Tree Troop, I'm here to challenge you! Step out here and fight me!"

Clay was honestly about on the point of stepping forward when he heard her start demanding to see "the Monkey Boy" - sure, in theory that could mean a lot of people, but he's a pretty likely candidate. Mr. Doorman seems to have it handled, though, and Clay might have stopped just to admire his technique. The Fighting Branch isn't going to give the job of guarding the place to just anyone, after all.
But then comes that one jump kick that sends the poor guy into the wall, and Clay starts forward again, flashing a hint of teeth. Mr. Doorman might not necessarily need defending, as such, but that doesn't mean Clay's going to stand here and watch him get hurt on his behalf. So he's right at the front of the pack when she turns to the door and spots him.
"Yeah, that's me. I'm Clay of the Blazing Tree Troop." Clay stands with his hands on his hips. This would happen when Fan's taking a well-deserved day off. Time for some of the others to show their stuff, then. "I'd like to know who wants to challenge me so much she'll pick a fight with everyone in her way. Didn't think I was famous yet."
He doesn't think he remembers running into her before, which makes how she recognizes him a bit of a puzzle, especially since she seems to know the troop but not his name. Not unless a Mankey has spontaneously learned to take human form, anyway - maybe that would explain her manners.

Well that was... odd. As Clay confronts this woman looking for him, Rei moves over to the man she assaulted, and tries to help him up.
"Sir, are you alright?"

The man is already getting back up, rubbing his head.
"Ow. Hitting walls is never fun. Quite flippy, that one. Didn't even want to fight her, just wanted a name, or a description. Something I could use to identify who she was after. Ah well, seems its settled now; or will be shortly. She's not trying to force her way into the Branch, so it's not my issue anymore." He looks at Rei. "To answer your question: Yes. I'm quite alright. It'll take more than a little tumble to really injure me. Thank you though."
"Not around here, no, but your Troop won't quit yammering on about how you're so amazing and what not. I'm sure most of it is bluster/hyperbole, but that's what I'm here to find out. I'm not taking 'no' for an answer, so you and I are gonna fight." She produces an Apricorn Ball from... somewhere... and tosses it up. "Cera, it's time! We finally found him!"
From the ball emerges a Pokemon Clay isn't terribly familiar with. A Combusken. Together, they usher Clay outside for a fight (not that he needs much persuasion).
Clay vs Brenda is 6v6 full contact. Trainers will be "downed" instead of KO'd at 0 HP, as per the mention in the rules thread.
