Clay straightens up. "Okay, uh, first thing. The humans out at the edge of the territory are friends of mine. They're gonna be training around the whole area and I want you to know they're around. Is it okay if they come through the territory in the course of their training? If they cause problems you can blame me." He can warn the Fighties to stay out of the territory but he's not sure if it will completely help... and also honestly he's not sure if he can define the territory's boundaries in terms that are easy for humans to follow.
"Second thing... I'm gonna have to explain in human talk." He lets out a sigh and runs a hand through his hair. "There's... bad stuff going on with the humans. Not just with the humans. There's a, uh... humans call it a 'god'. It's like a big thing, an all-thing, like the wind, but it's also a person. This one's called Yveltal, and it's... death. Looks like a big nasty-looking bird -" he spreads his arms like wings "- and sometimes like a female human." He describes D'mara as best he can, her appearance and also the unpleasant pressure of her sheer presence.
"She's sorta... stolen being Yveltal somehow, I don't really understand how it works. But she's trying to use her power to challenge the human leader. Honestly I wouldn't mind that much about that except that she's gonna kill a lot of people doing it. Humans and Pokémon. Yveltal kinda sucks the life out of everything around it. She's already attacked one of my friends, using one of the people she's supposed to be leading like a puppet. And tried to kill her when she failed." Clay half-snarls at the memory, even not having been there. "Even other gods think she's a problem. Some of them warned us about her - me and a few of my human friends, and the Pokémon with us. Apparently they can see the future, or something, and we're the ones who have to stop her."
Clay takes a deep breath and shakes his head. "I'm not asking for help. I know as well as anyone that keeping the troop safe comes before fighting my battles for me. I'm just... warning the troop, I guess. Things could get bad and I don't know how far away Yveltal can wreck things... or if she's gonna send somebody after you all. Keep an eye out for suspicious humans, I guess. I'll be in the area for a few days at least, so if you need me you can send somebody to get me - I'll be somewhere around the mountain or in that human territory off to the east." Privately, apart from the warning, he wants the troop to know what will have happened to him if he doesn't survive the battle.
He drops back into Infernape-speak and asks, quietly, "And if you've got any advice, honorable elders, I'd appreciate it. My friends and I... we're doing everything we can, but it's a lot of pressure. They're not all holding up so well, emotionally."
"You mean spirit girl is the only thing keeping white-hair girl sane, and the more time loud girl spends around them the worse she gets," Fan remarks dryly, speaking up for the first time. "And you're worried it's your fault, even though you know it's because they decided to have a mating conflict in the middle of something else important and all the stress got tangled up together." Clay looks a little embarrassed at this but doesn't quite deny it.

The elders are silent for a long time, occasionally exchanging glances with each other. In truth, they have heard rumors from other Pokemon about something akin to this 'Yveltal' that Clay speaks of, but never put much stock into their words before. Sure, every Pokemon knows about Mother Mew and Lord Arceus, but the others are far less important for Pokemon to note than they are for humans. From Clay's description though, it sounds an awful lot like either a human problem, or something that goes so far over the tribe's heads that there is really no point in attempting to become involved.
As for the Fighties, these other humans Clay brought with, they are more than welcome so long as they don't interfere in tribe business (an event which seems doubtful in the first place). Heck, if they want training, some of the Tribe's warriors could probably be persuaded to aid them by teaching them different techniques than what they're used to. More versatility never hurts in a warrior.

Clay sighs quietly when the elders come to their conclusions. "That's... about what I figured. I just wanted the troop to know what was going on, just in case it affected things here. Thank you for hearing me, honored elders, and for welcoming my friends." He wasn't expecting to recruit an Infernape army or anything. Xerneas said people directly involved in the fight would be easier for it to protect, but unless Yveltal's aura can reach all the way out here from Celadon, they're probably safe unless the big battle is lost and D'mara starts wrecking up the whole region, which he hopes the troop will see coming and have the sense to migrate away.
He bows again and he and Fan leave the cave. He'll head back to Instructor Mason and the Fighties to let them know what's up. "The elders say we can pretty much wander around as long as we don't screw up tribe business, which we probably weren't gonna do in the first place anyways. Basically don't catch anybody who doesn't want to come with or, like, wreck the food supplies and we should be fine. If anybody wants to see Infernape fighting techniques we can even go talk to the warriors and see if any of them are up for training with us."

Around suppertime, Clay begs off of further training and heads back for Cerulean. If the Fighties are planning on camping out in the wild, he'll make his apologies and promise to be back tomorrow, because he has somebody he doesn't want to disappoint. (Of course, if they're staying in town as well, he'll just head back along with them.)
Either way, he hurries back to Cerulean Village and back to the Mayor's house. After all, he promised Kalani he'd be home tonight and he wants to start actually keeping promises like that to her.

The Fighties are indeed camping outside tonight. Instructor Mason wouldn't feel right asking the Mayor to put up so many folks for an extended period of time. When he gets home, Clay is quite aggressively tackled by Kalani, who showers him in kisses and affection.
"You came back when you promised! I'm so happy!" She exclaims.

"Oof! Of course I did!" Occasionally Clay wonders whether Kalani remembers how small he is; as it is, the force of Kalani's tackle is going to pretty much knock him to the floor unless she works to hold him up. He squeezes her tightly. "Like I'm gonna miss supper two nights in a row."
He kisses her back, when he gets a chance between hers anyway. "I really am sorry I worried you last night."

Kalani seems to have indeed forgotten he's shorter than her and bears both of them to the ground. Not that she seems to mind, as she's just happy to see him home safely again. She gets off of him after a moment and helps him up.
"Sorry about knocking you down, I was just so excited to see you again." She blushes. "Why don't you go relax and get cleaned up. I'm sure you're worn out after hiking up and down the mountain today. I'll go fix us some supper."

"Okay, see you in a minute!" Clay takes her hand to help himself up and gives her a smile before heading off to take her advice. Cleaning up is probably a good idea, rather than making her deal with him being stinky from spending all day out in the wild.

Kalani hums happily as she practically runs into the kitchen to make sure Clay (and his Pokemon!) are well-fed. Within an hour, she has a nice, Kalani-sized dinner prepared for them all. Mouth-watering meats, platters of cheese, and steamed veggies adorn the table.

Clay is fresh and clean by the time dinner is ready, easily. He'll join her at the table eagerly.
"So how were things here today?" He's trying to be polite and ask about her day rather than ramble on about his between bites.

"Oh, you know. Mostly pretty boring. Fishing season is coming to an end, so everyone's been out on the water trying to catch what they can to stock up for winter. Being the Mayor of a small town like this is a boring, if important job. It's not often that big things happen, but when they do, you gotta be ready to step up and take charge. Like that whole thing with the Mt. Moon Guardian that brought you guys up here in the first place."

"Yeah, that thing." Clay makes a face. He wonders if he should let the Guardian know about the mess going on... on the other hand, he's not really sure he could find his way into the Guardian's cavern again. And that would involve going inside the mountain, with all the Zubats and the tight spaces... Yeah, maybe not. "Haven't had any more trouble with that, have you?"

Kalani shakes her head. "Nope. All's quiet on that front. Seems like it's got no more issues with us." When dinner is finished, and the dishes are all washed, Kalani tries to subtly invite Clay to "share" her bedroom again tonight. She clearly has plans for him this night, should he deign to join her.

Clay hesitates for a moment, but, well... cuddling up with her last night was nice. He's wouldn't mind doing that again, whatever else it is she plans to do there. So he'll cautiously agree, and maybe link his fingers with hers as they head up.

Kalani blushes and giggles as she takes him back to her room. Secretly, she wonders if she's jumping the gun a bit. Sure, she loves him, and knows he must feel the same, but... aw hell, with this whole 'chosen one' thing hanging over his head, she never knows when she might see him again should he leave. Once in her bedroom, she begins to kiss him passionately.

Okay, kissing. If kissing was her plan, he can definitely get behind kissing. He wraps his arms around her as he kisses back, a little inexpertly - she's the only person he's ever kissed, after all, and never quite like this before.

Kalani doesn't seem to mind Clay's lack of expertise, and makes sure to keep it going for awhile while she begins removing her clothes. All of them.

"W-whoa, uh..." Clay blushes brightly and glances away when she starts undressing. "D-do I, um, need to step out for a minute?"
He's... really just playing dumb, honestly. He can guess where this is going. His heart is beating so fast... He's not quite sure if he's excited or scared.

"No, Clay. I want you to see. I want this. I want you." She offers a shy smile as she stands there and lets him collect himself. She's being awfully bold, and obviously caught him off-guard.

"I, uh..." Clay bites his lip. How does he respond to this? Master Nob always said he was too young to do stuff like this, but Kalani sure doesn't seem to think so. At least a few members of the troop had already bonded with someone by his age. And he's pretty sure Rei and Holly are doing stuff like this and they're not much older than he is... he thinks. Clay is slightly shaky on how old he actually is, since a bunch of wild Infernape weren't the best judges of age for a human toddler.
He steals a glance at her and swallows hard. "You're really pretty, Kalani." His hands rest on the belt tying his tunic closed for a moment. Judging by Rei and Holly, this is... a big step. But he doesn't have anyone to get jealous about him and Kalani, as far as he knows anyway. His ears are bright red as he slowly starts to undress. "Sorry, you... surprised me. But if you want to do this... okay."
