Terra takes his hand and shakes it. "Guy Sin Say? Nice to meet you, I'm Terra. That was weird alright, but this whole situation is. It's good to know there are other people here. Doesn't help find where we are though. See any towns around?" This guy or 'Guy' was seeming weirder and weirder. And she really wasn't sure if she should trust him... After being messed with last night that could just be more of the same. She'll just keep an eye on him for now.

He makes a face at her pronunciation. He opens his mouth, pauses, opens it again, pauses, and then finally shrugs. "Gai will do," He says--and raises an eyebrow when the strange sound effect doesn't occur again. He shrugs, seeming to brush it off. He shakes his head at her question. "No established settlements, no villages, and very little sign of human life at all."
He frowns. "It's very strange...no food wrappers or trash, no...no latrines, no trenches, no buildings. Or, at least, not that I've seen, not around here. Many of these strange animals."
He pauses, pensive. "No turtles. But my summons also don't work--perhaps this is the summon's world, and I simple have to find the Turtle settlements..." He mutters something else that Terra has difficulty hearing--something about avoiding 'toads'?

"Summons? Like when I press my tattoos and these guys appear and disappear?" She asks gesturing to her Pokémon. She was having a hard time believign there was really no sign of anyone, so for the moment she was focussing on the part that made some sense. Not that much about his getup made sense. Which brought another thought to her mind. "So, are you some kind of hero? Those don't exactly look like civilian clothes?" She tensed reflexively at the thought of dealing with more heroes right now... although that might be just what she'd need to do to sort this mess out.

Gai glances down at the fish shape on his wrist and considers it for a moment. "Not quite. I think these markings actually hold the strange beings we summon with them," He says, squinting at it. "Summoning pulls creatures from another world entirely! It's an honor to hold a summoning contract, you know! I am blessed to be the holder of the Turtle Summons!" He holds out a raised thumb, grinning so widely that Terra's eyes honestly burn from the brightness of his smile. He seems to puff up, grinning /wider/ somehow, at her question. "I am the famous Might Guy!" He says loudly, posing with his hands on his hips. "The ?? of a fantastic team of back in !" His yelling is only made even weirder by the strange vocal effect his words have, like when he tried to say his name the first time. He droops a little at the sound. "And this is the uniform of THE PASSIONATE! THE DETERMINED! THE GENIUSES OF HARDWORK!" Annnnnd the thumb is up again. Is...is this guy /real/?

Terra turns away momentarily and fixes her hair so this... thing... doesn't see the face she can't even avoid making. While turned away she says over a shoulder "So I should probably get moving again. Need to keep searching."

The man tilts his head, before nodding. "It was an honor to fight at your side!" He says with another blinding grin. He pauses. "If you do happen to see others, I am looking for my team. They would know my name. Please, let them know you have seen me--I'm sure they are searching most obsessively for me!"
He gives her a deep bow.

"Sure thing. If you-" She was about to say if she saw the Titans, but... Do I want to be found that bad? I don't think I can face them. Expecially if I need rescuing! That'll just be even worse."No, it's nothing. Good luck!"She gives him a wave and starts to go back to following the river, Chip and Autumn in tow. It was gettign later now, and Terra knew she'd have to look for shelter soon, especially if she'd have to make any of it herself. She continued along the river, this time trying to keep an eye open for somewhere to make a shelter. Rolling Survival to find shelter or suitable clearing to make one blhX_WA94d6 4d6

Terra travels for a good long while, used to the effort after her time in the wilds before. The sky grows dark above her, and the group steep and high--she walks up an incline, the stream growing in speed. There is a sloshing sound ahead of her, and she can see something glowing through the trees--reflecting off of the dark surface of the stream's origin: a medium sized body of water. Across the water that moves in the slight wind, she can make out the glow of a burning fire--and a small shape huddled over beside it. The water isn't quite lake sized--but it's large enough that she can't make out details of the figure. The tree line is far enough back that there's a solid length of land all around the muddy edges of the water that's dry and looks like it could support a decent sized shelter of some kind.

Anywhere around this lake would work for camp, but with someone already here... I should find out who they are first. Terra Knew she wouldn't really have much choice, but she had better make sure this wasn't someone who would attack in the middle of the night. She started to make her way aroundthe lake towards that campfire.

Terra's approach seems to be noted as the small shape seems to turn towards her. It faces her as she approaches close enough to make out details--and realizes that the figure isn't nearly as small as it appears, but rather appears to be hunched over and huddled by the fire. As she approaches, she can make out a long, dark cloak that spreads around the figure, with sleeves that drape over the hands held out to the fire--though Terra can see the edges of what she thinks are pale yellow mittens. As she draws close enough to feel the heat of the flames, the figure finally moves--lifting its head so that the dancing light of the flames breaks the shadow of the face inside.
Terra realizes, absentmindedly as she stares into an angular, pointed face, that those weren't mittens peeking out of those sleeves. The eyes that peer out at her are dark and intelligent, and the yellow mitten (flipper?) gestures for her to sit down as the figure pulls the cloak tighter against the night's chill. Holding the hood up are two ear like appendages coming from the creatures head, striped black and yellow like the creatures long neck. A gleaming red jewel sits where she supposes its forehead must be, or whatever the equivalent is on such a triangular face. Under the cloak, it wears a bag of some short crossed over its white belly, but seems to be mostly yellow beyond that, and wears no other clothing. Another larger bag, she notices, sits at its feet slightly under the cloak. She can see a bludge behind it in the cloak as well, another bag or a tail perhaps, but the cloak falls closed before she can see beneath it.
The creature--she can't tell a gender or...or much of anything, really--doesn't seem to be hostile. It merely watches her, quietly.

Figuring this must be another Pokémon, and a friendly one at that, Terra decides to take a seat by the fire. "Hi there." She says, still not entirely sure that Pokémon don't talk. She idly tries to work out if the fire will need more fuel soon. Rolling Survival to examine the fire 8EEoMmp84d6 4d6

The figure nods at Terra in greeting, reaching out with a stick to poke at the fire. Embers flare and sparks of flame drift from the top. At the bottom, several small round shapes are visible--Terra realizes, after a few moments, that she's looking at some sort of vegetables roasting below the flames. The fire itself seems pretty well stoked--and a few branches are piled off in a corner, waiting.
"Are you hungry?" The figure asks, glancing up at her with a placid expression. Its voice is soft, vaguely feminine, with a strange quality that Terra can't quite pick out.

Terra smiles in relief when the figure does speak. "Oh! Yeah actually." She hadn't realised how long it had been since she ate until now but her stomach rumbled in affirmation. "I have some food as well, I don't want you to use up all your supplies on me." Chip has taken a seat next to Terra and Autumn appears to have vanished again... The....shape (Terra honestly can't tell if it's reptilian or...it's not scaled, but its skin seems harder than normal skin, and there's not really any visible fur..?), the figure, it smiles at her offer. "Kind of you." It says softly, and reaches down into the bag on the ground next to it. It pulls a bladder from it, some sort of pouch with a drinking nozzle, and twists off the top to drink. It holds the bladder out to her. The liquid inside is too dark too see, but has a sweet, tangy smell to it.
The figure works on shifting the lumps at the bottom of the fire, pulling one out to poke before offering it to Terra. It doesn't seem particularly talkative, but watches Terra with a comfortable sort of peace--expectant, almost.

This shape seems pretty genuine... Terra sits down and accepts the bladder, taking a sip. The sweet taste is a blessing after all that has happened. While the shape is shifting the lumps Terra goes digging in her pack for some food to start cooking in return. "My name's Terra, what is yours?" When she sees the shape is already offering some food she happily accepts. "Oh, thank you!"

The figure seems vaguely surprised by Terra's question. There is, for a few moments, a perplexed expression on its face before it finally gives something akin to a shrug. "We are called Ampharos. I...do not have a name." It says, before beginning to nibble on its own portion of the meal. After they've been fed and watered, the sky dark overhead, the figure watches the fire. There is a crack of a branch in the distance, at the tree line, and the great shape moves, twisting itself as a huge tail appears to sweep from under the robe, the end a glowing orb that casts a pale blue light into the distance. A small furry shape is seen for a split second before it vanishes, fleeing from the light.
The shape snorts and resettles.

Terra didn't even know how to respond to the Ampharos's form, or lack of name for that matter. Things in the bushes at least made some sense to her though. "Will we be safe here?"

The shape nods slowly, stretching in a way that shows off it's long limbs and results in audible cracks. "Should be." The Ampharos says. "The fire will like as not scare most things off, and...well, I think I will scare off the rest."
It flashes Terra a small smile. "You are welcome to rest. You should, really. Your kind aren't typically meant for working in the night."
"In the morning, I set out for an access point. If you would like, you are welcome to join me. I believe you are one of the many I am meant to teach, after all."

Terra was feeling really sleepy. All of that had given her so many questions though, between "your kind", "access point" and "meant to teach" she wasn't even sure what it was she needed to ask first. All of that would probably just take up too much time that could be spent sleeping, and she found herself trusting the Ampharos... So she starts to make up a sleeping pad, close enough that she'll be warmed by the fire. DC14 Athletics, 1rboTHvi3d6 3d6

Since making the sleeping pad was taking a while, she kept the conversation going. "What's this access point you mentioned?"
