After the rather disastrous attempt to negotiate with Mowgli in the previous battle, Clay goes back to Flower, since she's finally getting a workout. "Come on, let's light 'em up!" The battle aura shining from his head brightens Flower's flame again as he calls out to her.
Flower's getting quicker off the mark already - as she floats into battle, her wick spouts off a whirl of flame aimed at one of the Koffing. Clay edges along the outskirts of the battle, unsure about closing with the smelly gasbags after their previous encounter.

After taking the time to use whatever medical supplies she could before they moved on, Rei had managed to heal up Alligapod and herself to a point. Good thing too, as more poisonous looking enemies showed up. Rei was begging to tire after all the battles, but that didn't stop her from doing her duty to her friends. Noticing Clay staying back, Rei sees Tiki head up into the mouth of danger, and follows her. She gets up there, and nods knowingly to Tiki; before doing her dance meant to purify the ground she stands on and protect her. Rei uses Purity Step! (+2 sp def)

The first Koffing is downed really quickly by Tiki and her psychic pokemon, but the others close in. One of them gets close to the Double T Threat and performs a familiar move, venting toxic gasses out of its body in a small cloud around itself. The second nearest one does the same next to Rei and Flower.

Tiki coughs with smoke filling the area, and is not a fan of being hit with sludge. She tries to sing a song to hopefully lull these gas balls to sleep.

The toxic fumes even make Flower's flame gutter for a moment, and she blinks her eye as if it's watering, though she isn't left coughing quite like the humans. She stays focused in on her enemy as Clay calls encouragement from the sidelines. "Great, you got him trapped! The knight's got him from here - go help Rei!" Flower floats warily toward one of the Koffing attacking Rei and shoots a puff of flame at it.
Clay's attention travels to Temperance, knowing the Drowzee's psychic power is one of their biggest assets. "Focus now, buddy! Show us what that big brain's for!" He hops along to another angle, in hopes that if he really needs to he can rush in and help Rei.

Rei cries out as the attacks hit her, and she's barely standing. Meanwhile, stuck in the smoke, and oblivious to the outside world, Alligapod sharpens her lances in a dance of her own, waiting for the chance to strike through these things hides! Alligapod uses Dance of Blades!

Seeing Rei's in trouble, Clay stops dancing around the edges of the fight and charges in, swinging his staff at one of the Koffing. "Quick, get this one!" Flower is happy to oblige, spraying Clay's target with more flame in hopes of taking it down and opening an escape route for Rei.

Between Tiki, Chariot, and Alligapod's bum rushing, the 3 remaining Koffing are quickly dispatched, even as Clay faceplants into the mud unconscious. The final Koffing managed to get in another hit on the fallen Clay before being brought low itself.
The party gains 31 Poke XP each.
