Skittery bugs, lovely. At least Clay has Pokémon that can deal with skittery bugs. Flower's definitely getting a workout today - she floats out not far from Chariot. "Go get 'em! Start off with a Fire Spin again! Let's see if we can't drop 'em by focusing!"
Flower sends a whirlwind of flame spinning at one of the Skorupi!

After Clay had gotten up, Rei was glad he was ok, but had to agree with him that they both were out of future fights this day. When they are attacked by more poisonous insects, Rei sighs and lets Alligapod out once more. It's good she was tough and immune to all of this venom the pokemon are able to spit out in the swamp!

Flower hisses and pops with pain as the Skorupi's mandibles snap at her. It's that weird thing with ghosts and teeth again. By way of retaliation, she puffs another blast of fire at the scorpion, while Clay calls out encouragement to try and help back Alligapod up. His fists develop a reddish aura, and after a moment so do Alligapod's lances. "Your lady's depending on you! Show her what a knight can do!"

FIGHT NIGHT: 2V2V2!
Team 1: Aislinn + Laurel Regal
Team 2: Ashley + Clay
Team 3: Rei + Holly
Laurel sighs heavily. "Well, if we're doing this, may as well set some ground rules. Let's start with the obvious: No lethal blows." She shoots a glare at Ashley, who rolls her eyes. "Let's say... 3 pokemon each, for a total of 6 per 'team'?"
Aislinn makes a buzzer noise. "Nope! We're going ALL OUT! Let chaos reign! HEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Laurel ignores her comment and reiterates the point about 6 total pokemon per team. No need to completely exhaust everyone's teams, after all.
"Let's also agree to respect any withdrawals from battle. If you can't (or don't want to) fight anymore, bow out. Nobody will target you after. Once all six of a team's Pokemon are defeated, or a majority of their team (ex. both trainers + 4 pokemon), they are out of the battle."

Rei sighs when 'Aislinn' laughs like a mad woman.
What have I got myself into?
As the rules are lain out, Rei nods, and releases Shinpuru into battle.

While Clay is still selecting his first Pokemon, Aislinn cackles and hurls an Apricorn Ball directly at Ashley's Magmar.
Apricorn Ball struggle AC 4 vs zrRmHzaW1d20 Damage: 1d8+17
As the ball pings off the Fire-Types head, it bounces away a few meters before opening up, revealing a Sandile.
Holly, not really knowing who to target first, decides to focus on the dark-type trainers. She and Honedge dart around behind Rei and slash at Laurel.
Wounding Strike AC 2 vs 1d20 Damage: 2d6+37 Target loses a Tick of Hit Points.
Aislinn's Sandile creates a vortex of whirling sand and dust around Magmar.
Sand Tomb AC 3 vs 1d20 Crit 19+ Damage: 2d6+25
After, it affixes Magmar with a stare to weaken its resolve.
Intimidate! -1 ATK CS.
Ashley frowns, glaring at the manic girl. She quickly issues some special orders to Blaze as she hurls an orb of flame at Sandile. Except wait, where'd it go? Aislinn shouts "boop!" as her Sandile vanishes back into its ball after attacking. Ashley just shrugs and tries to take on Aislinn directly, only to find another Pokemon blocking her path. How'd she swap out so fast?! Regardless, Ashley tries to burn Aislinn. Alas, the new dog-like Pokemon leaps into the path, absorbing the attack.
Aislinn uses Round Trip for 1 AP. This lets Sandile swap out after attacking.
Will-o-Wisp AC 5 vs 1d20
Houndour Intercepts Will-o-Wisp. Flash Fire triggers, increasing its SATK by 1 CS.
Blaze tries to disrupt the cackling girl's concentration (or something) with pretty lights!
Confuse Ray AC 2 vs 1d20 Confuses target.
Aislinn ignores the pretty lights.
Ashley uses Commander's Voice to Bind Incandescence to Blaze.
Vortex save: 1d20
Regardless, Laurel yelps in pain as Honedge's blade slashes across her body. The cut is shallow, but definitely painful. She draws a dagger to defend herself with as she issues orders to Zbić, her Wailmer. Laurel Binds Sneak Attack using Commander's Voice.
She jabs at Holly with the dagger, faking a lunge to then slash her back. She twists her attack around so that Honedge can't intervene.
Cheap Shot cannot miss. Crit check: 1d20 Damage: 2d6+13 Crit: 2d6+81d20·1d8+17·1d20·2d6+37·1d20·2d6+25·1d20·1d20·1d20·1d20·2d6+13·2d6+8

Shinpuru keeps looking back and forth between all the enemies, excited to start fighting. Rei, however, is loathe ti attack either side. She decides to start bolstering her defenses and Shinpuru's offense. Rei uses Yoroi Step and raises her defense 2 stages!
Shinpuru uses Simple Dance of Blades to raise his attack by 4 stages!
