This road being little traveled by humans, there are plenty of Wild Pokemon to see. None seem aggressive, but all are wary of the strange creatures passing through their territory. If anything, the size of your group is probably enough to deter all but the most desperate of predators, provided you don't stumble upon a "nest/lair" with eggs/newly hatched Pokemon. Thankfully, by following the dirt 'road', you should be able to avoid such situations. Occasionally, one could see a bird or insect Pokemon fly overhead, or call out to others of its species, but for the most part it's pretty quiet this early in the morning.

Tiki hums a tune, and enjoys the peaceful morning. Her humming dies down as she spots the rather dark looking trees in the distance. Tiki gulps, turn towards her friends, and says, "R-Remember to be c-careful you guys. Don't wanna get sick out here. D-Did we wanna split up, or just stick together?" She looks back at the approaching swamp.

"Aw, come on, Tiki, there's nothing to be afraid of!" Clay ain't scared of no trees, even if they do look dark and spooky. Sitting on his shoulder, Fan chitters her agreement. Sandy doesn't seem too worried, either, but then swamps are familiar ground for Mudkip; he's more active than he's been all day, almost bouncing around Clay's feet as they near the swamp.
"I can stick with you if you want! But I wanna see what's up with those ghost light thingies! Maybe Divini's right and they're a Pokémon I can bring back!"

Tiki can feel her face get hot, and she turns while walking backwards with cheeks puffed out. "I'm not scared! Geez...Hey, have any of you ever been to Lavender Swamp? I haven't...I've only ever gone long routes around it rather than traveling through it." Tiki turns back around, and looks at the swamp. "Oh, that reminds me! When I was little, my family was traveling around the swamp. I asked my mom why we couldn't go through, and she said it wasn't safe. It was late at night, I wasn't too sleepy, so, she told me a story from her childhood. What was it...Ly....Lou...Lyca-something...The Lyca-something of Lavender Swamp. The story was about some travelers seeing a horrible creature that lurked in the swamp. It was a dark, full moon night, and some lost travelers in the swamp came face to face with a monster! It was like a deformed Mightyana, but glowing red eyes, walked on two legs, and had a bone chilling howl!! Townspeople found the adventurer's belongings in the swamp, but only one person who was traumatized, and could barely speak of what he saw. No one found the others, or the creature, but they did hear the howl, and fled from the swamp." Tiki giggles, breaking the spooky tone of her story telling voice. "Could you imagine how I took that story at the time. I definitely had some trouble sleepin' now'. When I heard it, we were nearby the swamp, full moon, and I don't know but...I think I heard...something...I don't know..." Tiki stops walking. She then grabs her head, and shouts, "What the heck mom!? Why would you tell that story!? I was like, 9!" Tiki starts shaking, lets out a groan, and turns back to her friends with a scared expression as she has scared all the excitement out of herself.

With nothing else drawing the party's interest along the way, you continue your journey toward the swamp. After a few hours, you reach a dark, narrow path; fit for no more than 2 people (or 4 small pokemon) to walk abreast. This must be the entrance to the swamp.

Clay looks a little concerned by Tiki's sudden outburst at the end of her spooky story. After a moment he shakes his head. "Hey, don't worry. Mightyena aren't that hard to deal with. You just need someone who can give them a really good punch. I could take on a creepy Mightyena anytime! Uh, what's deformed mean?"Of course, now they're in the swamp. Clay looks at the narrow path between the trees warily. Chokepoint, not ideal, but manageable. "I'll take front. No good me getting stuck behind somebody. Stay close, Sandy." The Mudkip looks like he'd rather go off and frolic in the mud but he sticks close to Clay's feet anyway. Oh, I should probably note that Clay's got Fan and Sandy channeled right now. He's got Adept Intuition so he as room to channel two more.
Edit: Oh, and Agility Training active on both 'mons. Everything below this is an edit. Clay pulls out a Pokéball. Fan makes a face at it, but he shakes his head. "You're my backup. So stay in here 'til I need the backup, okay? Sandy knows swamps better; you wouldn't like it." He recalls Fan with a sigh. He doesn't really like sending her to the ball any more than she likes being in it, but still.

Sano recalls Aloe, understanding that being quiet and efficient might be a good idea. Mitis perks up, dropping her lackadaisical behavior in order to be alert to any danger. "Divini, you probably have the best bet of knowing what anomalies we're looking for. The rest of us are just hunting 'mons, so perhaps you and Clay should go first?" His voice lowers to a more modest level. Obligatory "Inspired Training is active for Mitis"

Tiki moves towards the center of the group, and brings Justice back into her ball. "We gotta be careful, Justice. You don't want to get hurt all the way out here. Star, keep your ears open." Star nods, and walks in front of Tiki.
Inspired Training for Star.

Divini floats silently at the rear, seemingly oblivious to attempts at interaction.

After waiting a few awkward seconds for a response, Sano addresses Tiki. "Uh, alright, Divini may be communing with spirits or something, so she might need extra protection in the back. Would you like to, or should I?"

Tiki nods, and moves next to Divini. "Sure thing. We'll keep an eye out from back here."

The group advances down the path leading into the swamp. So far, so good. Nothing has tried to eat you yet.

As the group pushes further into the swamp, Tiki spots something shiny among the muck. It turns out to be a Fire Stone!

A bright sparkle shines in Tiki's eyes. She looks in the mud, and sees a shiny rock. "Oooo. Pretty." She bends over and picks it up. After wiping a bunch of mud off, she sees the the beautiful yellowish rock with what seems to be flames within it. She gasps as she realizes what it is. She turns to her friends, and waves it around. "Guys! Guys! Look what I found! Take a look, Star. Pretty cool! We'll hold onto this for later." Star's tail wags, and Tiki stores the stone in her bag.

"Oh, cool!" Clay grins brightly. "If that kinda stuff's just lying around here, this is gonna be a good trip." He's not entirely sure what the stone is, off the top of his head, but it looks pretty enough to be valuable.
"Let's keep going! Uh, did Divini say what we were supposed to be looking for, again...?"

So far, finding that Fire Stone has been the most exciting part of this journey. Swamp seems pretty empty from what little you've explored so far. After some brief celebration over finding such a rare item just lying around, the group moves on, further into the swamp. Clay leads the party into one of the side areas within the swamp. Oddly enough, there appears to be some sort of light floating in the air further in. It is so pretty... maybe you should take a closer look?
Roll Intuition or Focus (whichever is higher) to resist the urge to move closer to the light (or don't).

Unsurprisingly, it's Clay's idea to wander off to the side of the main path. He's pretty confident of being able to find their way back if they get turned around, so he doesn't really see much reason to be cautious about staying on the main trail through the swamp. Besides, staying on one path is boring - they're here to investigate, and they're not going to do that without poking around!
As far as he's concerned, the idea pays off - the light a little further on looks awfully interesting to him.
"Oooh... is that one of those ghost lights Divini was talking about?" He heads off after the light, trying to get a closer look. If that's a Fire-type, it has to be pretty tough to survive in the swamp, right? So he'd solve the mystery of the ghost lights and fulfill the task from Lady Ashara all in one go.
Clay isn't actually as clear as he might be on the concept of "ghosts", let alone ghost lights. So the idea that he might be afraid doesn't really cross his mind.

Tiki goes wide eyed as Clay just suddenly goes off towards the mysterious light. "O-Oi! Don't just go running of the path! Sano, tell him something! Come on!" Tiki grabs Divini by the sleeves and pulls her along after Clay.

"Erm, Clay, perhaps we should have a little more of a plan..." He hesitates briefly, but decides to chase after the crew. Someone has to be the responsible one. He makes sure his sai are easily accessible. Mitis' fur bristles, uncomfortable with the development.

Clay seems unable to manage to get any closer to the light at first. Then, he's got several floating nearby. He begins to feel kinda tired. Maybe this isn't the best place for a nap, but it surely is tempting.
Anyone who gets close enough to the lights must make a Focus check to stay awake. DC is 9.
