"Yeah... creepy. I have a berry that will help against those who are weak to poison like Justice or Raido, but not much else other than that, and really only enough money to heal once."

"Huh. Poison means Fighting attacks won't do a lot... dang." Clay bounces on the balls of his feet as he thinks. "I still have a couple Potions but that's about it. Dunno whether I oughta go train and risk everybody getting banged up, or save their strength for going after the poachers..."

Sano finally speaks up, wiping some of the excess venom off of his sais.
"I can craft some more antidotes if I can get the materials, and Rei recently gifted me Mufomono who would be effective against poison types if she got a little stronger and learned a ground move. Also, we have a pair of Grimer who resist other poison attacks, so if we can coordinate around supporting our defensive threats locking down the Pokemon while eliminating any poachers, we should be able to hold the upper hand." He rifles through his bag once again, checking his inventory.
"Right now I have 11 potions and two super potions but only the one antidote, so we should either forage for some more herbs for my antidotes or buy some from the market." He puts away the medicine and pulls out three vials filled with a murky liquid, handing one to each member.
"These are smoke bombs. I thought we might need them if things get out of hand. Hopefully it won't come to this, but if we need to we can recall our 'mons and throw these to help our escape. I also have some spikes for area control if you're interested, but I figured not limiting our ability to move around would be a good idea if we outnumber the enemy."

Tiki raises her hand to interject. "Ooo! Ooo! I got 2 antidotes, and some 3 full heals when it comes to fighting poison. I gots potions too, and even some bandages." She then plays with Hierophant's tiny hands. "This one could use some training, so I don't know if she'll be able to contribute. But, Hermit, and Temperance should be good to go."

Clay takes the vial curiously, turning it over in his hands. "I've got a couple Antidotes, too. So we should be okay for dealing with poison, at least enough to get away if we gotta. I don't really like running away, but... if we gotta, we gotta." He sighs and slips the smoke bomb into his bag. "If we do have to make a break for it, I'll take rearguard, okay?"
He looks down at his Pokémon thoughtfully. "I think Baloo would be sitting this one out. Fighting, Poison, y'know. The rest of my guys should at least be able to help. I don't have anything that'll really wreck them, but fire and water still work on 'em fine." He bites his lip and glances back at Rei. "You gonna be okay, after last time?" She seemed pretty shaken up after that narrow escape before. If it was him, he'd definitely be out for revenge, but she's not him. Actually, he kind of wants to get revenge for her, anyway. They all still owe her for the fight with the ghost girl.
"Anyway. We should at least scout the place out today, make sure we know where it is. Sooner these guys get what's coming to 'em, the better. And poachers come out at night, right? So daytime's a good time to go after them." Clay is somewhat assuming poachers work like any reasonable nocturnal Pokémon, which may not be a safe assumption.

"I'm afraid I don't have any money to contribute for more supplies. And thank you Clay, but I will have to be alright to stop them. With you all there that should help..."
Rei looks off into the distance a moment.
"Shinpuru is always ready to fight, but the rest of my party might need some more strength training. But I am not opposed to hunting the location down first."

"Then I propose we scout the location first and then get suitably trained and equipped before attempting to tackle them. I'm not a huge fan of being surprised during combat, so getting a lay of the land would mitigate any ambush attempts."
Mufomono makes an excited hissing, chomping the air with her small jaws. Mitis tries her best to remain unperturbed, but she can't help be a little spooked by her sharp new companion.

Tiki nods, and links arms with Rei. "Alrighty! We are decided on scoping out the spot for our fight! Onward!" Tiki marches the party out into town. She leads them near the woodlands to the South, and "In the shadow of Mt. Moon."

Rei nods, and holds onto Tiki. Maybe a little too tightly as they get closer.

As they get deeper into the woods, Clay starts to look out for traces of human activity. After all, the poachers probably wouldn't camp out here if other people came this way a lot, meaning that any sign of humans was probably them. Red Child is stalking next to him with ears pricked, on the assumption that he's the best out of Clay's team to follow a trail if they find one. Clay's actually gone quite quiet - not that he's still, but there's a lot less fidgeting and extraneous movement going on than usual. Clay's looking for tracks! Survival: ahgKeyEJ4d6 4d6

Clay finds no tracks that seem to belong to humans. It seems like one of three things is at play here: 1) The party is nowhere near the site they need to be in, 2) Any tracks are incredibly well concealed, or 3) The poachers (if in this area) are very good at erasing signs of their passage, which would help to explain why nobody is sure where they are based.

As they follow, Rei looks around, wondering if the Murkrow is still following her. In that moment, a light bulb goes off in her head.
Oh! I wonder... "Three miles west. First marker. From there, 10 miles south. Second marker."
She looks to Clay.
"Clay, perhaps Tiki's tip isn't directly south of the moutain? After all, shadows move! Let's start going west of the mountain, since that area is mostly unexplored anyway, it'd be prime area to hide in."

For just a moment, Rei thinks she spots the Dues Ex Murkrow watching her from a tree nearby. When she blinks, it's gone again. Maybe it was her imagination, and it was never really there? With the way it flits about, who can say?

"Huh, you think so? That could be an idea, yeah..." Clay brightens up. "Maybe we'll even run into my troop out there! Though I can't imagine the poachers'd be too close. I don't remember a bunch of humans in our territory, and I don't think my folks would put up with people like that anyway."
Clay turns to angle their route to the northwest. That will bring them closer to the mountain to start with, partly just to have a landmark to start their search from and partly because he really is hoping to run into the Infernape troop that raised him. Just because he doesn't remember any evidence of the poachers doesn't mean the troop won't have seen anything - it's been a year since he left, after all.

Sano steps quietly, watching the trees for any signs of surveillance. If the poachers use this path often, they may have a scout positioned to inform them ahead of time. Mitis sits on his head, slightly less distracted. The discussion is a welcome reminder of his company, but Sano prefers listening to contributing. Sano Perception - zJGNV4F92d6 Mitis Perception - 4d6

Tiki scratches her head as smarter people take the lead to the correct area. No matter! Tiki gets to hunting for tracks, or anything suspicious. >=3 Perception check: JIv70EDC4d6 4d6

Still no sign of any humans passing through the area. It occurs to some of you that the information you got wasn't totally reliable. Maybe the guy Tiki pestered information out of deliberately sent you on a wild goose chase to keep you away from the poachers (assuming he even knows where they really are).

The whole day has been a bust. Tiki stretches, and waves her arms around. "Uuuuuggghhhhhh! There's nothin' here! We've been looking for hours, and can't find any stupid poachers!......What do we do now, huh?"

Rei looks a little down when they don't find anything.
"Maybe we need to find a pokemon with tracking? Or maybe we need something in the air, to get a better view? Not really sure."
