Rei looks off a bit.
"I mean I know this one isn't my fault..."
When Clay mentions a mankey dating Fan, Rei gets a distinct idea in her head about a Romeo and Juliet styled play staring Fan and a Mankey/Primeape in love with their two families at war.
But... she keeps that idea to herself.
"Thanks Clay. For... a lot of things."
Rei and Holly go inside to eat with everyone.

Tiki arrives at Kalani's house after being at the beach. She needs to see what else needs to be done for their quest....also the smell of food, and playing with the baby totodiles also brought her in. "Mornin'...." One thing Tiki wasn't keen about was having breakfast in front of Rei, and Holly. Especially Holly. They hadn't all had breakfast together in a while, but the awkwardness wasn't something she wanted to deal with. She took her plate, and watched the bebeies.

It is a bit akward but at least Tiki is there and not holed up somewhere. Rei wants to say something but decides to let it go... for now. Let Tiki just eat.

The Totodiles chow down on some specially-made Poke-Food, making a mess of their eating area (as small children and Pokemon are wont to do). Gertrude eats nearby, keeping an eye on them as well, but relaxed enough to show that she trusts all present so long as Kalani does.

Clay winces a little at the awkwardness and decides to try making conversation. It's hard to do around Kalani's usual amazing food but he'll at least try. "So, uh, do you guys have any plans for today? I probably oughta go meet the Fighting Branch guys when they show up so they at least know I'm around."

They eat up in a bit of awkwardness for a while before Rei realizes she should probably go to make Tiki relax a bit more. She excuses herself and thanks Kalani for the food before going back to the room to supply up. She turns to Holly.
"Are you ready?"

It's probably best for Holly to be doing that. Rei doesn't want to be mad at Tiki (Anymore). They head to the stump, and along the way Rei discreetly tells her of Kopi's line he gave when they were there before. The markings that lead to the Poacher's base.
"...We tried looking earlier but couldn't find it. We had gone back to the guild and gave them all the information and it seems the crown took care of them and routed them out. I'm 'hoping' that maybe they left something behind, we could use all the resources we can get our hands on. Or maybe at least there'd be a well-hidden base we could use as a safe house. I'm not sure. I started searching yesterday but I would have to travel many miles for the final bit so I came back to not be gone too long."
Rei makes sure Kopi is on the lookout from her hair-nest and she pulls out the Umbreon Siblings as extra to notice the dark symbols again. She heads to the first mark and then heads out from there to find the next mark, hoping that her re-freshening of it held.

Clay sighs quietly at the continued awkwardness, even after Rei and Holly leave. "Well, good luck, Tiki. Let us know if you need any help, huh?" He gives her a serious look. "Really. Don't go bottling stuff up. Even if we're all in different places, we're still friends, okay?"
As breakfast finishes up, Clay leans over and kisses Kalani on the cheek. "I really promise I won't be gone until really late tonight this time." After all, he doubts training with the Fighting branch is going to result in chasing half-mind-controlled friends halfway across the country. He hopes. "I might go around the other side of the mountain for a while but I promise I'll be back for dinner."

For Tiki, that really only applied to Clay, but she just shrugged. "Yeah. Sure thing. I'll be taking off then." After rubbing the tummies of some recently fed Totodiles, Tiki hops on her Tauros, and takes off back to Celadon Castle Town. She takes a moment to rest, and get ready to head out again. She really wants to check in on the Normal Branch. Ms. G had said they were heading towards the Vermilion Plains. Hopefully they were still there, and safe as well.

On his way out, Clay pauses as he passes Gertrude and decides to drop a word in her ear - though his dry, rather shrill attempt at crocodile-talk bears a lot more resemblance to a Krokorok than to a Feraligatr. Of course, he talks to Mufomono a lot more often than he does to Gertrude. "I don't think there'll be any trouble around here, especially not any you can't handle, but if you need me, call me, okay?"
Speaking of Mufomono, he grabs her and Red Child's apricorns on his way out of the house, and before he goes to meet the Fighting Branch people he drops Fan and Sandy off at the village healer to get Fan and Sandy's injuries seen to. He's not completely sure whether the people from the branch are coming into town first or heading off west immediately, so he'll go check out on the road to see if they're here yet first.

Seeing as there is a good chunk of forest between the 'roads' leading out of Cerulean Cape Town, it seems likely that the Fighting Branch will be stopping in town to rest for a bit, similarly to what Rei's Rock Tunnel Expedition Group did not so long ago. In fact, the wind carries the sound of voices up the road from the South not long after Clay settles in to wait for them.

Tiki
The baby Totodiles love belly rubs, but are too full to chase Tiki down for more attention at the moment. The journey back to Celadon Castle Town is long, but uneventful, save passing by what must be the Fighting Branch group headed north. Depending on how quickly she wants to get back, it takes most of the morning to reach Celadon's gates again. With the day growing hotter, it may be a good idea to let the Tauros rest awhile and have Chariot the Rapidash be her ride back down to the Vermillion Plains. Either way, it's a journey of a good 3-4 hours.

Tiki does swap her team around a bit, and hops onto Chariot. She sets off towards this big horses old galloping grounds. Upon reaching some higher ground, Tiki peers from atop her Rapidash to see any trace of the normal branch.

The Vermillion Plains are as big as ever, but Tiki (and Chariot) spot a familiar "wave" of fire traveling across the landscape. Chariot snorts and scrapes at the ground with her hoof, like she wants to go greet them, but doesn't want to just run off with Tiki on board. No Normal Branchers seem to be visible from here.

Welp with a place this big, some more searching was required. Chariot also seemed to want to go see the other fire horses running by. Tiki can actually keep up with them now! They set off towards the herd of ponyta, and rapidash.

Chariot happily speeds off toward the other herd. They're wary at first, but then they seem to recognize Chariot. This must be her old herd! It's amazing how they seem able to hold a conversation of some kind while running full tilt. It's all Tiki can do just to hold onto the reins (which are more for helping the rider hold on than for controlling the Pokemon's movement). It must be freeing for Chariot to be able to run all-out after so long. In a battle, she usually can't use her speed except in short bursts of motion. When traveling, they go at a leisurely pace so as not to wear her out (and because there is usually not enough space). Out here though, in the wide open fields, Chariot is in her element. After an hour of hard riding, Tiki's hair is practically permanently blown backwards (at least until she fixes it) and the herd diverts to a familiar lake. On the far side of said lake also happens to be some tents. A lot of them. Oh, maybe this is Genevieve's camp?

Tiki is taken for a wild ride as Chariot meets up with her old herd. The mixture of the cool rushing wind, the heat of the many fire ponies, and the speed at which they run is awesome. If only was more convenient to get all her pokemon some space to stretch, and explore. When they spot the tents, Tiki smiles, and starts making her way towards the camp. Hopefully everything has been going well.

Everything seems to be going quite well, actually. Genevieve is pleased to see Tiki again, admitting to have been a bit worried for her going off to Celadon the way she did. Tiki can take care of herself (and has all her many pokemon to aid her), but Genevieve is just the type of person who worries about friends a lot. She's a lot like the old Rei: kind and gentle, but fiercely protective of those under her care. Off to one side there are some people battling each other to keep skills sharp. On another is someone grooming their lightning horse/zebra (Tiki may or may not remember the name of it, but she recognizes them from her last trip out here). A random Slowpoke is just sitting on the water's edge, tail in the water. If there are any hungry water types in there, it's bound to get a bite eventually (whether it notices or not is another matter entirely).
