Tiki scratches her head as she tries to parse the info, but she only gets angry. "....What?...Huh?...L-Look, I don't know what you're talking about! Dreamers? Who? And those nightmares! You've been sending them!? Do you know how much trouble you've caused!?....Actually...Nope. I want nothing to do with any of this. Go away."

The woman blinks slowly. "Did you not just hear me? I told you that I, personally, have not been sending anything. 'Twas my Master, Darkrai. As for wanting nothing to do with this, it's not my place to force you into anything, though YOU are the 'Dreamers'. I am merely here to pass along a message. To reaffirm what you should already have gleaned from the Nightmares: The world as humans know it will come to an end if the Usurper is not stopped. The balance of power among Legendary Pokemon will also be upset if the Usurper has her way, but they are unable to act directly. Thus, it falls to you and whatever allies you can muster." She pauses a moment, then glances sidelong at Tiki.
"However, if you wish for your world to end, by all means, step aside and allow this future to come to pass. There will be no safe haven for you when only the Usurper and her ilk remain."

"I don't care who you are, but whatever you or your master did is wrong! I have nothing to do with this! I'm not some 'dreamer'! Go find someone else to take care of this! Or, better yet, fix it yourselves if you guys are so smart! It all sounds like your problem, so you fix it, and leave me out of it!

Clay sighs, then, abruptly, vaults over the table to stand in front of the woman - and, not coincidentally, between her and Tiki. "If your master wanted us to like him, he really shoulda rethought the... what was the phrase you used? 'Horrific nightmares.'"
He folds his arms, frowning at her. "I'm on board with saving the world. But we can only do it so fast. And we definitely can't do it if your boss keeps screwing with our heads, okay? That last nightmare, with the personal stuff? That hurt your cause a lot. It didn't even have anything to do with the Usurper thing, it was just mean, and as far as I can tell none of it was true."

The woman actually looks confused. "Pardon? What personal stuff? My Master sent no such dreams to you. The only dreams he has sent have been the ones regarding the destruction of the human world. If you had dreams of a more personal nature, then that is on you, not my Master."
She looks back at Tiki, mildly annoyed. "My Master can only communicate in one way without risk to himself or others: through nightmares. It was believed that seeing your world come to ruin would spur you into action. If you had been paying attention to what I have just finished saying, then perhaps you would have realized that my Master and the others can't intervene themselves. If they could, do you really think that we'd bother to recruit humans? With their petty emotions that they allow to rule their hearts and minds above all else. Sometimes I think that Mesprit made a mistake, granting humans such emotions; but it is not my place to judge them. The point being that only you four are in a position to stop this future from happening. Only you four have the strength necessary. If you truly do not care, then by all means, leave now and forget this conversation ever happened. If you can.

"Well it happened to all of us at the same time and the only time I get screaming night terrors is when your boss guy's sending a message - and by the way, if he wants to keep it secret he kinda blew it with making sure we wake up the entire rest of the Branch - so you can see why I'd think he had something to do with me dreaming about someone I don't even like getting territorial enough to burn her name into my chest."
He steps forward again. "Oh, uh, and I'm pretty sure 'I'm so much better than these stupid humans' is an emotion, too, so you might wanna be careful what you throw stones about. And you might wanna think twice about picking on my friends, no matter who your master is. I may not be living with them anymore, but the Blazing Tree Troop protects our own."
The part of Clay responsible for common sense - which he frequently fails to listen to - submits that arguing with and obliquely threatening the servant of a legendary Pokémon is probably not the best idea. The rest of him overrules it. Tiki's already been through a lot and she doesn't need this lady making it worse.

Tiki crosses her arms, and hmphs. "So your master cant keep track of his own nightmares, or prevent the death of the planet? Wow. Good job. So glad you guys are in charge of everything."

Okay, now she's angry. "Listen, you disrespectful little shit! My Master did not send you any stupid personal dreams. I have said this twice now and I don't plan to say it again. He may be powerful, but he is not omnipotent. Not even our Creator is omnipotent. The hierarchy of Legendary Pokemon has checks and balances for everything, and it is only humans who have the potential to muck it all up. My Master is also not in charge of everything. He is in charge of the realm of Dreams/Nightmares alongside of his sister, Lady Cresselia. That. Is. It. I don't know why the Time Traveler is so convinced that ungrateful little pieces of human trash like you are the hope of the future. Be glad my Master has forbidden me from engaging you, or I'd send you screaming into the darkest depths of the Nightmare Lands to suffer endless nightmares for this insult." She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath to try and calm herself. "But as I said: my Master has forbidden me from causing you undue harm. I am to be a messenger and nothing more."

"I didn't say he did. Well, not after you said he didn't." Clay is grinning now. It's not a very nice grin; mostly it's from having proven his point about her not being so superior, even if she didn't admit it out loud. "Okay, if you're a messenger, what is it your master wants us to do? Right now all we know is that there's this Usurper, she's got something to do with this Yveltal thingy, and if we don't stop her she's gonna take over the castle town with an army of people dressed like Adventurers."
He relaxes a little and perches on the edge of the table behind him. "I mean, that's not a lot to go on. What does he want us to do, lock up every woman in the Guild? That'd take a while, and probably get me killed 'cause a lot of them could kick my tail all the way to the Indigo Range. We don't know who she is. I'll take your word that your Master can't tell us that. I dunno anything about how dream-messages work. But we can't exactly fight her if we don't know anything about her or her plan before she attacks Celadon. Are we supposed to be looking for her? For the big death bird thing? Like I said, I'm all for saving the world. Everyone I like is here. But we don't have anywhere to start."
He pauses thoughtfully. Fan's crept up behind him, still wary, and Sandy has put his hand on Tiki's leg to try and help settle her down. "Except the Guild. But like I said, a lot of people in the Guild could take me apart without blinking, and there's plenty of people I don't like. Doesn't mean one of them is gonna turn into an evil bird and take over the world and do that... thing with the eyes."
He shivers again. He may have fixated a little on the weirdly spiritless, empty eyes of the people killed by the Usurper in the dream.

"I don't know what he expects you to do. All I know is that the information you have been given via the dreams is the only information we have. It's dangerous for The Time Traveler to enter that timeline, even in groups, so they can only do it rarely. Here's something I can tell you though: You can't expect to succeed alone. No matter what the Time Traveler may have seen, there is no way the four of you alone (even factoring in all your Pokemon) could take down someone with the power of Yveltal. Not without aid. So, what I suggest that you do is seek out the Lord of Death's counterpoint: Xerneas, Giver of Life. Before you ask: 'no', I don't know where to find it. You're on your own with that. Any other pointless questions?"

Tiki rolls her eyes, folds her arms, and turns her back to the dumb woman. "Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. Thanks for your pointless advice. I'm ready for you to leave now. Leave the mortals to clean up your messes." Tiki rubs her temples.

The woman harrumphs before snapping her fingers and vanishing as quickly as she appeared. Tiki finds herself being shaken awake by Clay about 20 minutes later, and the Mess Hall is chattering on like nothing happened at all.

Once he finally wakes Tiki up, Clay sits back and sighs. "Well, she was a jerk. I was standing in front of you for a reason, least she could do was put me to sleep instead and let me feel like I was helping for once." This is accompanied by a slightly pained smile.
"At least now we have something to actually go for, huh? I know you don't wanna deal with this, but... you ever heard of Xerneas, Tiki?" Clay hasn't, but of course legendary Pokémon are not exactly an area he has significant knowledge of.

Tiki growls under her breath. This wasn't something she wanted to deal with at all. She looked to Clay as she rubbed the tiredness from her eyes. "Uhhh...No. I haven't heard of it."

"Rei was looking into the legendary Pokémon thing, maybe I can ask her. And let her know that we know for sure who's sending the dreams now." He rubs the back of his neck. "Except for that last one, I guess? Kinda of a weird coincidence that we'd all have horrible nightmares the same night and not have them be from him... Though I guess none of them were true? You never told me about yours, but I know mine and Rei's weren't."
He's more or less just thinking out loud, addressing Tiki mostly out of convenience. Though that does make something occur to him. "I guess I should check if Rei's okay. Wouldn't blame her for not wanting to talk to me today but I haven't seen her since the fight..."

"Yeah...K...I'm heading out now." Tiki leaves the dining hall quickly. She needs to push all this out her head, and just prepare for her gig.

It's not long before the two of them are back. Rei is dead silent the whole way back. Her expression reads like she's just dead inside, like her mind has stopped. The only thought on her mind is just completing her mental checklist. First, she has to find the others and inform them. Then next she's gotta get to Sorra and quit. Doubly so now, with a combination of her not physically fighting herself anymore and having to take upon this task... probably by herself. Tiki won't have anything to do with her, and Clay seems more interested in keeping her afloat. Maybe that's even a good thing, considering the thoughts she's having about what to do all about this... and the dark thoughts about herself. She knows Holly will help her, for sure, but considering her upbringing, she's not going to have any thoughts about stopping a death god. Not anymore than Rei, anyway. But she can't give Sorra any of her time now, it seems. And if she can't keep up with the two of them, she's going to feel extra guilty about being a steel branch member.
After stopping by her room to drop off everything, Rei goes to find Clay. If he finds her, she looks so much worse than when he left yesterday. She looks half-dead, almost.

"Oh, hey, wait!" As Tiki leaves, Clay hurries after her and presses the Moon Stone into her hand. "Here. You don't have to give me anything back. If anything I still owe you - I don't think I ever paid up after our match, right?"
Clay his heading toward Rei's room to check on her when he finds her and Holly coming back the other way. Looking worse than yesterday is a pretty big achievement, since the last time he saw Rei was after that big fight, but somehow she manages it. "Whoa, Rei, what happened?"
He hurries over to her, pretty much on the opposite side of her from Holly. A suspicion forms in his mind. "... Did you get a visit from a big jerk who says she works for Darkrai?"

Rei is silent for a moment as Clay runs up, but the mention of Darkrai gives her a little change of recognition.
It seems he at least got a visit too. They must have tried to visit us all, then. Kinda wish I got this one who was a jerk. At least I could have yelled, gotten some of this off my chest...
Rei shakes her head.
"Not quite. A messenger from Darkrai's sister, Cresslia. She wasn't a 'jerk' but our conversation didn't go well..."
Rei hangs her head down. She wants to cry again but her eyes are at a loss for tears.
"Divini and Sano are dead, Clay. I never met Divini but I've heard you two mention the name a couple times. You sounded like you were friends."
She leans against a wall for support and Clay gets a better look at her face. Rei looks like her will is just destroyed now.
"I was informed that because they were among the first chosen, they were targets, and that agents of the Usurper killed them."

Tiki sighs as she looks at the stone. She never needed to be paid for beating up Clay, but she at least wanted a fair trade. She shrugged, and headed out to begin her rehearsals.
